Absolute garbage customer service. Was threatened, and got many copy and paste texts when I had a question about something. They also tried to cut me off many times short and kept repeating the same thing over and over.
Placed an order, instead of 30 mins they call and say an hour and 30. I say, ok, no problem. Call me back, we didn't charge you correctly for your order, we need to charge for an item. I told them to fill the order I agreed to or don't. They agreed to fill the order. They call me back again, the item they didn't charge for is no longer available, do I want a substitute? Told them again, either fill the order or don't. They refunded me, all if this for an hour and I got nothing but aggravation delivered.
Apparently, they don't keep track of restaurant closing times - this has happened to me twice. I just ordered from a restaurant made available in the app, placed the order, 40 minutes later got a call from someone saying the delivery time would be later and asked if that was ok. Then, 5 minutes later I got a call from Grub Hub saying that the order has been cancelled because the restaurant was CLOSED. 40 minutes after I placed the order and paid. They should not make it possible for you to order from closed restaurants. They gave me a $5.00 coupon and they can KEEP it. I am uninstalling the app. Second time it allowed me to order from a closed store. Stay away from this app. I am convinced the only reason the app has high ratings on the play store is they only give you the option to rate right after you place an order and everything seems great at that point. But give it a couple of hours and you'll see what you really got yourself into. It's pretty ridiculous.
I've tried ordering with this app twice. They supposedly contract out with a third party delivery company in my area, Zula. The first time we ordered we waited over an hour before we were told the order was never picked up and the restaurant closed. They have is $10 off our next order which is the only reason we tried this app again. This time after waiting 1.5 hours for a SUSHI order we contacted app for status. They blame Zula and say order lost. We waited another 25 minutes but they refused to offer any refund other than driver tip. Driver blamed Eat24 and Eat24 blames driver. Do not waste your time! Go with UberEATS or Waitr instead.
It doesn't matter whether the restaurant is at fault on your order, they do nothing to compensate you all; they have a $10 min on orders, before tax, so if a part of your order is screwed and it costs less than that, don't expect to eat.
On June 10,2017@ 1:30pm i placed an order from the grubhub app. At 1:40pm, after being told by my man that he had placed on order already, i called Bobo's Lake Trout to find out if they started making the oder, and after being told, No, i cancelled the order with the restaurant, who was very pleasant, and then I called Grubhub. When i called grubhub around 1:50pm and told them i wanted to cancel the order and that i had spoke with the restaurant, i was placed on hold for 15min and then hung up on. I called back and gave the same speech andwas placed on hold for another 10min and when the rep returned i was told it was too late to cancel bcuz the order was on its way. I knew this was a lie bcuz i spoke to the restaurant who clearly said they werent delivering the order. The order never came and as of today, 6/13/2017, i am still fighting for my refund. Ive called my bank now and am waiting for the Grubhub Rep Star to remedy this problem. I dont recommend Grubhub. I do recommend Bobo's Lake Trout.
I used the service once and promised it would be my last time. Waited almost five hours for my dinner. Every time I called they told me they're on the way 15 minutes or less. Almost five hours later the food. Finally arrived. I was promised a discount which I never reviewed.
Please don't waste your time with grubhub.

They wouldn't refund my meal that was never delivered because they couldn't contact their own driver... yeah. Happens more often than not with Grubhub.
Ordered food from grub hub toninght at 5:27 pm, waited and hour and a half for food then did an online chat with their customer service to say no delivery yet, I was told they called the restaurant and the food should be at my house any minute. When I asked what time the food left the restaurant, could she please verify that, she said she couldn't? Another hour and a half later (it's 8 pm now, kids usually in bed by now but haven't eaten and are atarving) and so I do an online chat again. This customer service rep again called the restaurant and was told by the restaurant that they never received the order! I am not sure how this happened when the first representative supposedly verified the order and said that it was on its way! So the aevond customer service rep says if I want my food it's another 45 minutes!
Fast forward an hour, 9 pm now and the food finally arrives. Oh but I got a discount code for the NEXT TIME I ORDER, like that will ever happen again. Completely ridiculous 3 and 1/2 hours for food, did I mention the food was cold when I got it?
Do not use this business. Many, many, many times they have failed to put in my order. After which they have failed to notify me of this mistake until 2 hours after I have placed my order; if at all. Leading me to have to call them and ask what happened. To top it off, they constantly send my order to the wrong address. The only reason I have used this site at all if because of the fact that it is one of the only delivery services in my area.
In my wildest dreams, I could not imagine a worse company or crappier customer service.
Don't waste your time or Money. I could go on and on. Just STAY AWAY.
I ordered a Tostada from a local Mexican Restaurant.
Hour later - No food. Called support and the lady called the restaurant and said that the restaurant was just busy.
1:30 later - Called the restaurant and they said they had no record of my order. Turns out the first lady from Grubhub lied about actually confirming my order and talking to the restaurant.
Called Grubhub support back, got hung up on TWO times by two different people while they were "calling the restaurant"
Called back a third time and, even though i gave them my number the first two times, I asked the lady specifically to take down my number so she could call me back if we got disconnected. She now explains to me that Grubhub's systems had a glitch and thought the restaurant was closed, yet still place my order, except for the following day and without notifying me. She cancelled my order and said I had to re-place the order online. Now it won't let me place the order online.
She is looking into why it wont let me place the order and then we get disconnected again. Luckily she called me back this time and sorted it out. Finally got the order placed. Only had to wait another hour for my Tostada.
3 hours later - Finally get my food. Absolutely ridiculous. Spending an hour on the phone with support and having to wait an extra 2 hours beyond the MAX estimated time is insane. I will never use Grubhub again. Will have to try Uber or Eat24 or Postmates or a Turtle or anything else.
I have been trying since March 18,2017 to use some of the balance of $189.19 on a gift card that was originally issued through EatOutIn. GrubHub bought EatOutIn. Finally on June 3,2017 after MANY emails plus 2+ hours on the phone today to a minimum of 5 people as each one had a different resolution, I was told that my gift card could only be used on the work.grubhub.com site for a minimum of $50. I live in a single family home, a single person and do not need that much food! And the person who finally helped wondered why because she was 'trying' to help that I was so aggravated! She did place the order for a total of $34.+, but I may have to go through the same process the next time I want to order something. I would prefer that they refund the balance of $154.74 left on the gift card, but highly doubt that they will. C. P. Griffith, Austin, TX
I spent $82 dollar on an order through grub hub for PF Changs on a Friday night. Typically PF Changs delivery on Fri/Sat nights takes 90 minutes - 2.5 hours, they 'apparently' delivered within 45 minutes. I was with 5 feet of my front door, I have 4 dogs that alert me whenever someone approaches, and there were multiple other people at home. NO ONE WAS AT MY DOOR... I GUARANTEE THAT! They emailed me... EMAILED ME, to say they were attempting a delivery. I don't check my email every 5 minutes do you? When 3 hours rolls around I get worried, check GrubHub site and my account says nothing so I check my email... 2 hours ago they say they attempted delivery. I call the customer service like and after 15 minutes of back and forth and holding for each tier of people they will only cover $50 of my $82 order. For a delivery that never came!
Grubhub... I order from you weekly for work and home... you've just guaranteed I will be using Ubereats, Doordash and any other non-grubhub food service from now on. My $32 you decided to not honor back to me cost you $100 a month! BYE!
I placed an order with GrubHub 4 days in advance. On the morning of my delivery when my order hadn't arrived at the time scheduled, I called GrubHub customer service and for one hour they were trying to reach dispatch to assign a driver to pick up my order. After one and a half hours later GrubHub told me they had to cancel my order because they could not find a driver anywhere in San Diego. I will never ever use them again. Their job is to drive to pick up food ordered on line and they can't find one driver to pick up an order I placed, so they CANCEL my order? This order was sitting at the restaurant ready for GrubHub to pick it up. I paid for delivery. I am appauled and disgusted with GrubHub.
My order was incomplete ( for the second time). I called the girl that delivered it- She didn't answer. So I called customer service to see if the girl could go back and get the rest of the order. All they could do is tell me they were sorry and refund the money. But I wanted my food.
Like if you are gonna refund anything. Refund it all. It's not about the money. It's about good customer service.
LOOK IN THE BAG- MAKE SURE THE COMPLETE ORDER IS THERE- - THEN LET THE RESTURANT TIE THE BAG CLOSED. SIMPLE
I gave them a third try and they screwed it up. First time waited till delivery time to cancel order telling that the restaurant was closed. I call the restaurant and it was opened they lied. It took almost a week to get credit.
Second time they were late.
Third time the food containers were ripped and everything spilled.

I was trying to order some food for a friend staying with her newborn in the NICU. At first, the service seemed good because they contacted me when some items I had ordered were not actually available, due to an outdated menu. But apparently my updated order was never sent to the restaurant. I wrote in to their chat service a couple of hours later, and the person said they had no information and to write back later. I wrote back a couple of hours later and the person said the order was cancelled because the store was now closed--it had never been sent to the restaurant during its open hours. I asked how I would be compensated--because they must need to make this up to me, right?--got a whole lot of nothing, just excuses. They said, oh when the food isn't delivered, we don't keep the person's money. I was like yes, because that would be illegal...
They said they could ask if the local delivery service was willing to process my order for free, rather than them taking responsibility for who they contract with. Classic amateur move--just passing the buck. Well, I didn't contract with the local service, YOU DID! You said you would provide me with this service, and YOU DIDN'T!
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
