I placed an order at a restaurant that I have eaten at a couple of times. When I received my order and began to eat I choked on a piece of plastic in my food. I then examined my food and found more plastic. I called the restaurant and they asked me to text pictures to them. They told me they would remake the order and I could go pick it up or they would give me store credit. I refused both one the fact that 1) I could not eat that meal again after choking on plastic and 2) I would never eat there again. I asked for a refund and they told me since it went through Grubhub they could not do anything about it. So I called Grubhub. The lovely lady was extremely sorry that that happened even though she wasn't the one who cooked the food. She placed me on hold and called the restaurant. She then told me that she is waiting for the manager to get to the restaurant because he was not there and she would call them back and get me my full refund. She also told me if anything would change she would call me and I do not need to be in contact with the restaurant. And hour later I received an email from Grubhub stating I was fully refunded my money. Thank you Grubhub!
This is the second time grubhub just did not deliver our food. I received alerts both times that the restaurant received my order and my order was being delivered. I called restaurant and they even received the order from grubhub and stating grubhub is having a lot of issues with their system (like this is not the first time they've lost an order). Never ordering from grubhub again!
Food never showed. Called customer service 21 min ago to reach a resolution; still haven't spoken with anyone just listening to some awful piano music. This is bull$#*!.
I placed a late night order, and my friends and I fell asleep in our chairs waiting for it to arrive. Apparently the store had been closed - but the GrubHub app said it was open and allowed me to place my order. I even got notifications from the GrubHub app that the restaurant received my order. Then another notification that my order was on the way! This is just FAKE automation to make it seem like a seamless experience. It truly proves that those "update notifications" are total LIES and aren't actually connected to anything to show a real order status. Customer support was a nightmare - they said they would be happy to deliver the order today (the next day - 13 hours after I placed the order). No thanks! I made the mistake of trying the app one last time, but it's just not worth it! A tiny $7 sandwich turns into $16 after fees, tip, and taxes. PEOPLE ITS JUST NOT WORTH IT! Call the restaurant directly and go pick up your own food. The food prices seem to be cheaper if you call the restaurant directly as well. Bye grubhub - you're another useless cash-grab.
Food that never arrives, customer service that runs you in circles without ever addressing your problems, and the best they are willing to offer in compensation is an apology. If I could give zero stars you can bet that I would.
I would rate Foodler a 0 if possible, I have had so many negative experiences with this service. I guess it is my own fault for continuing to use them, but I will not be doing so after tonight. Today I ordered food at 9:45, the expected delivery time was 10:35. It is now past midnight and I never received my order. I attempted to contact the restaurant I ordered from directly, but they closed at 11 and did not pick up. After reading great reviews of the restaurant on Yelp I am certain this is Foodler's fault; their drivers are ridiculous. A couple weeks ago, ordering from a different restaurant, I had a driver add in a tip for himself on my receipt against my will when I did not provide him with one, something I believe is illegal. Everyone this company employs is incredibly unprofessional and cheap. Do not ever use this service!
I've been using Grubhub for a perhaps a year very regularly. Their order accuracy rate runs around 60%. I'm no longer going to use GrubHub. I just spent $41 with them, and the food came without any of the sauces I'd specified. When I called the restaurant they told me they could not help me. After that I became angry. This kind of thing happens too often.
Hard to believe that a food restaurant delivery service could be this bad. Five minutes (yes 5) before food is supposed to arrive, I got a phone call saying that GH is cancelling our order because they didn't know that t'he restaurant was closed.' this is beyond incompetent and i am left with no dinner to serve in a little while. Grubhub should really close down and let CAVIAR, EAT 24, MUCHERY, etc, take over; they are all well run and provide excellent customer service. GOOD BYE GRUBHUB; we'll not use your service in the future. Your incompetence is inexcusable.
Every delivery service has SOMETHING if you order from them ALL THE TIME for loyalty. They give you NOTHING. BUT sometimes they will let you play a stupid game so you can TRY to get something, free delivery, 10% off, whatever, but even then if you guess wrong, you get nothing! What a joke! Sorry GH, your loyal customer is no longer loyal, but obvs you could care less anyway, so BYE!
Friends of mine bought a gift card to GrubHub while I was recovering from surgery at home. Twice I tried using the website and the gift card, and both times, I thought I had made an order, but 3 hours later, no food had arrived. In both cases, I used the GrubHub support chat to figure out what was going on. In both cases, the support person refused to acknowledge that I had even made an order. Eventually, it turns out that you have to use a credit card to order, even if you have a gift card. The order was for about $20, and the gif t card had $400 on it, so I don't understand GrubHub's logic for that. They need to clean up their interface. It is incredibly frustrating, and would not want someone that is not tech saavy to have to deal with that. It should take a minimal number of mouse clicks to order food. The whole point is to make it easy to order food.
I tried this place for the first time today. After an hour of waiting for my food I checked with them and they told me the driver was on his way and they food should arrive at any time. Checked again 30 minutes later and they said the same thing. Checked for a third time 30 minutes later and was told that the restaurant had just told them they had a problem with the system and the order was never placed. I called the restaurant to complain and the owner personally came to the phone to explain to me that they were having problems with the system and had not received any orders from Eat24. They had already told this to the reps at Eat24 every they called. The restaurant owner apologized because he didn't have any orders at all coming from them and had never told anyone that the food was on it's way. Eat24 took no responsibility for the issue. They simply cancelled my order.
Zero stars for this app. I cannot count the times I've gotten to a restaurant to pick up my food and they had not even started making it. The service tells them, "You have an order coming in", but doesn't tell them what the order is. I just now went to pick up my order and got something completely different than what I ordered. I did not leave with any food, yet I still was charged. They offered me a $2 coupon, but I have to spend another $10 to use it. Never again, app deleted.
Food takes a long time to arrive. The driver was rude and sexist. I ordered delivery and yet the driver wanted me to go find him and pick up the food. He was very condescending and got angry when I couldn't understand him.
When I placed the order it said 30 minutes. Then it changed to over an hour. It's only 4 miles from where I am, but I'm in a semi and can't go just anywhere. And I'm on a schedule. I don't recommend this service at all.
I have ordered on GrubHub from Round table pizza. It said that delivery was 60-70 minutes. However, after I ordered, it should that pizza would arrive 90-100 minutes. However, the pizza has arrived 3 hours later. I also could not find a place where I can review my experience and had to do it on yelp. The GrubHub rep I called was also not helpful.
They used to be good when they first started. Pretty nice customer service and gave back money right away. I referred someone using my referral code recently and they ordered food however neither of us got the discount for our meals like it was promised. Called customer service and they said i had to use THIS SPECIFIC CODE IN THIS SPECIFIC PLACE. NOT THE EMAIL LINK THAT YOU SEND TO YOUR FRIEND. How does that even make sense?! Honestly if it weren't for the fact they monopolize most of the delivery systems nowadays, i'd think about trying a different company. But seamless is the same: T I guess yelp eats is the only other option here.
This service promised a 15 dollar discount on a coupon if I used PayPal, they gave me 10. When I had a problem with my order, customer service had no ability to fix said problem in a timely fashion. Just know if you have a problem, food missing, order wrong or anything at all, you will wait hours and hours for any resolution if you get one at all. I will never use grubhub again. Customer service is everything in this kind of industry. Timely corrections are necessary and Grubhub cannot provide it. Stay far away.
I am waiting for more than 2.5 hrs for the delivery. Please do not order from here, their service is pathetic. The staff is rude and doesnt give proper answers.
Have always used app to order food for pickup and didn't have problem until about a year ago when the restaurant I frequent changed their menu and the app didn't update their version. Repeated attempts at chatting with their customer service get you no where. They make a lot of promises but don't follow through on ANYTHING! The app is nearly useless anymore.
I asked for paper plates, napkins, utensils, to text just before arriving because I have to use a walker. To meet me at the side (kit.) door. She gave my food to a neighbor sending near the street and drove off, and stated she already had her tip from my CC from online payment. No paper plates, napkins. Will never use Grubhub again.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
