(Lehigh Valley, PA) After two botched deliveries, I'm not giving them a third chance. Yes, they say they are going to refund my money because the food was never delivered but undependable service when you are hungry just isn't worth rolling the dice. I'm going to give UberEats a try instead.

On January 2,2018 I responded to GrubHub's ad that said a $7 discount will be credited to my first purhase.

I chose a Thai Restaurant and was horrified as the ordering process was plagued with various "re-sets" because the delivery price and/or the minimum purchase price kept changing.

At the end of the transaction, the two dishes I ordered amounted to $31.94! This included an $8 "fee" and a 4$ gratuity.

THe checkout process had absolutely no options to gain the $7 promotional credit that enticed me to order to begin with.

At the end of this horrible experience, GrubHub sent me another ad for my next discount.

What a joke.

Terrible

I will never ever ordered from Eat24 again, check my email and said that order was confirm and was deducted from my account, waited 2 hrs for food, so i finally decide to call the restaurant and was told they never received the order from Eat24. Ridiculous! GO WITH GRUBHUB...

I've ordered food from Eat24 before, but lately, the service has gotten ridiculous. Restaurants are making more mistakes, and when you try to get help to fix this you don't hear from anyone for 3 hours for an email. 3 hours! No one will call you, just email you.

It's safe to say that by then the restaurant was closed, and I was stuck with food I didn't want. I got an email from customer service (at almost midnight) offering to call the restaurant in the morning... No thanks, Eat24. Keep your food.

Absolutely useless

I found this website on Google searching for a pickup and delivery service to order a meal for my family. Ordered a fairly large Italian dinner and watched the non-existent progress for a couple of hours. Finally I sent several texts and questions on their website but never got a single response. After about 4 hours, an Eat24 associate called to see if I had picked up my order. I told him I was under the impression that they delivered but he said "No, we just place the order for you". WTF! So I asked why wouldn't I just place the order directly with the restaurant? His response was "That's your option". They do NOT deliver. Don't waste your time with this company. I called the restaurant to let them know we were unable to pick it up ourselves and the girl told me it had already been charged to my credit card. $90 down the drain and still have to order food. Worst scam I've run across in a couple of years. Avoid them like the plague.

I placed my first order today (Bellevue, WA) and unfortunately, it didn't go well. I received an email and text confirming that my order was ready and my credit card was billed. When I arrived at the restaurant, no one knew anything about my order and they didn't even have the type of soup that was offered as an option via Grubhub. I contacted customer service and they did respond quickly to refund my charge, which was appreciated. However, they blamed the issue on a "system glitch" with no offer to look into it further to prevent it this from happening again. The whole experience was a big inconvenience - and accounted for at least 30 min of my time and most of my lunch break. It would have been nice if they would have offered to comp a meal for me to give them another try. I won't be doing that now. Don't waste your time.

Food never came
January 5, 2018

I ordered from a couple appetizers from a restaurant three blocks away & was quoted 30 minutes. Almost two hours later, the food wasn't here so I tried to contact the company & received no response. I asked for a refund and it's been four days and I still haven't gotten a response! I had to do a charge back on my credit card.

The Worst

I have used Eat 24 about six times. Every time there has been an issue. They never have reps.available through.the "Contact Us" button
. They are always too "slammed" to help. Their app is broken and I ordered a GF pizza and got really sick. They begrudgingly refunded.the money. They are just umprofessional and immature. I will.go.to.GrubHub or Amazon in the future.

They suck

Entered an order on Dec 24 around 8 PM and was advised that the order was submitted and we would receive our food very soon, Since the restaurant closes at 9 PM, we were assured there would be no problem. On checking with the restaurant, I was told the order had been receive and was in process. Hen the food hadn't arrived by 9 PM, i called them and was told GH never showed up and the food had been ready for 20 minutes or so.
I then called GH and was told that no one had ordered a delivery to be made. Just great! To add salt, my wife and were/are down with the flu.

My home is in Huntington Beach, Ca

Horrible

Some law firm should bring a class action suit against GH. They cancel your order but you do not get a credit card refund for a number of days. While you wait GH uses your money and you are paying interest if you have a credit card balance. GH should be liable for the money and also pay punitive bdamages

This happened to us on 27th Dec 2017 in San Diego. We ordered food from restaurant Bombay exotic cuisine of India through Eat24 for 8 people (including 2kids) and it took 2 hours for a non-apologetic driver to show up and deliver cold food. His reason was, some ramps were closed so he had to find alternate route to our hotel "Homewood Hilton" which is 10 mins away from this restaurant. It was a lie since my wife and I, we drove to Whole foods in same location and back in 20 mins after we ordered food.

After an hour I called Eat24 support for an update, their rep was responsible and called the restaurant for an update. The restaurant said, food was picked up 20 mins ago by 3rd party driver that Eat24 uses for delivery. They tried to contact him and weren't able to. Support Rep suggested to wait for 15 mins more and offered us 25% discount on our check. Driver still didn't arrive in 15 mins. I called them back in 30 mins to find out what went wrong. This time it was another rep who called restaurant and found that food was picked up earlier and driver couldn't be contacted again. This time we just cancelled the order with full refund. We had 2 kids with us who had to wait for 2 hours for their dinner. So we ordered Dominoes pizza and went for a pickup. Out of no where this driver turned up with food and gave his non convincing answer for delay. Hence we have decided to not order food through Eat24 from here onwards. However, food from this restaurant was delicious so no complains on it.

Grubhub has canceled my last two orders after charging my card. I am writing this to urge people not to use this service. They are totally irresponsible and while the will refund my money, they have use of it until it clears my bank. The first time the food was waiting at the restaurant. I am disabled and cannot park anywhere near the food I wanted. Find another way and Grubhub leave ABQ.

An hour later, they're contacting you to say they're so sorry, but something's gone wrong. The restaurant gets blamed. I really don't care who is at fault. It shouldn't take an hour to figure it out. The $5 credit I received for my trouble is absolutely useless. The tax on an order is about that much. RIDICULOUS.

This is insane placed my order with them. Order never showed up all the numbers they gave me were disconnected. After 2hrs and a half and two chat conversation with customer service from grub hub, I had to google the resturant to find a active number telling me they never got the order. I had t give Grub the right number and read more excuses then the past wars. To read sorry canceling the order that never showed up and still waiting for a refund. I should have just opened up a can of soup and call it a night.

I places first order at 8pm to be told 1 1/2 hours later they had to cancel my order.
So order at a different restaurant and told at 11.30 at night that my order was cancled agin because they did not have a driver. Phoned up to complain, and they were struggling to find me somewhere that I could from that late at night! I went to bed very hungry!
I will not be ordering though then again!

Christmas Eve: With friends & family staying with us for the holidays we placed an order online for local restaurant. Grubhub charged me for food, gave delivery time and sent a confirmation email with tracking link.
We waited. I checked via their tracking tool and the delivery time had not changed even when the order was 30 minutes late. I then checked Grubhub online and was instructed to call the restaurant. Restaurant has excellent reputation and track record for excellent service and food. Restaurant informed me that they are not affiliated with Grubhub and were closing soon. I then called Grubhub back. Agent contacted restaurant and gave me the only information she could find, we had been charged and our order would not be coming.
Imagine having to scramble for something to cook and serve our guests for a Christmas Eve dinner. To add insult to injury it was my fathers 92nd birthday and he was excited for dinner from one of favorite restaurants.
I called Grubhub on 12/26 and was told my money would be refunded in 3-5 business days. Is this a Grubhub scam to use customers money interest free? Agent at Grubhub would not let me speak with Manager/supervisor and told me Manager had told me to not use Grubhub anymore! I asked again and for a second time I was told that a Manager would not talk to me and I should not use Grubhub.
Buyer beware! This company charges customers when no service is provided, charges for nothing and has the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Significant compensation is due to me from Grubhub for ruining our Christmas.

After waiting for our food for over an hour I received a call saying that they would not be able to deliver out order because they couldn't get in touch with the restaurant. Our food should have arrived by the time they contacted me. The woman on the phone basically told me there was nothing she could do but refund out money. This was completely unacceptable. I have three hungry children and I am not well and could not leave the house to go out and get food. I will never ever use this company again and I urge you not to unless you like starving.

The driver went by house according to map, then drove all over the town for an hour, still no food! I chatted and texted. They apologized, gave me 5.00 coupon but still no food another hour later. I cancelled the order after two hours.

Worse Experience Ever

Last night, I placed an order after a long day of traveling with 3 kids. I was told it would take 60 minutes for the food to arrive. I received a text saying the food was being prepared and another one saying it was on its way. I waited another 30 minutes and checked the app and it said delivered but I never received it. I called Grub Hub and they put me on hold for ten minutes then somehow I got transferred to the restaurant and spoke to the manager. He told me in a patronizing tone that I called and cancelled it and he called Grub Hub. He said they were closed and there was nothing he could do. I called GrubHub back and was told that they never called and it still showed that I received the food. I told her that they just connected me to the manager and this is what he told me. She said she need to verify this. Another 10 minutes on hold and she comes back and offers me credit for GrubHub with a few extra dollars on it to make up for the trouble. I told her that I wanted my credit card reversed because I planned never to use them again. I told her that if she refused to credit my account, I would call my credit card company to tell them that I never received the food and I was being billed for it and they would have to do their own investigation. I had to get very forceful for her because she didn't want to refund me but I never received the food so why should I be stuck with their version of store credit. Plus I told her that I had 3 kids now that are ready for bed eating chips because somehow their service screwed up. She finally relented. I think their customer service is horrible and they are instructed not to refund because she kept trying to convince me that their system showed the food was delivered. I told her that if my food was delivered I wouldn't have called being so angry.
