The service sucks if you do not receive your order... think about it, money leaves your account immediately then it is their word against yours that you received your order. They say they called... no missed calls, they say they text. NO TEXTS. They cannot even track the vehicle to verify if it even showed up to the destination! Then the hilarious thing is they offer you 50 percent off your next order for which you are still out your money and have to spend more money to get that 50 per cent off despite the money you just spent... How ludicrous! Will not use grubhub again and will definitely dissuade all my friends.

Don't use this service

I placed an order and received a confirmation that my order would be picked up between 5:45pm and 5:55pm. I waited but by 6:20 I realized something was wrong. I contacted Grubhub and they tried to tell me I chose the option to pick up my own order. I didn't even know that was an option. Why would I place an order through a 3rd party and pay a fee just so I could go pick the order up? Does that make sense to anyone?

Just spent over an hour fighting with the app after it glitched and moved the time of a big party order to a time that I have absolutely no use for it. It won't stay good and I need to throw it away. The system kicked me off from no less than 4 chats with reps and I spent the rest of the time trying to get through. At the end, no refund, no coupon, no reschedule, just a half done apology from my fourth agent who said I was on my own despite that I spent money and time to receive both a good and a service and now I am essentially getting neither.

Tonight was my first time using Grubhub and I regret it. I placed my order at 948pm tonight. The eta was around 1010-1020, initially. Then, it got pushed back to 1110-1130. An hour and a half for my food? Seriously? I called the restaurant, they said my food has been ready for 20 minutes. The employee also stated that another order was placed after mine and a Grubhub driver picked up that order. I know why no one picked up my order - I didn't leave a tip on my order - however, I've been a server for 10+ years and I was going to give the driver cash and not get taxed on my credit card tip. I called Grubhub customer support and they were only going to give me a 10% discount on my next order. MY NEXT ORDER? They wouldn't even refund me my money that I just spent on a meal that would be cold and old, until I asked for a manager. The manager cancelled my order, refunded my money (which takes 5-10 business days), and gave me a $10 coupon towards my next order. Let's just say, I won't be ordering from them again. If you are that obsessed with credit card tips, you don't need to be a food deliverer. My total was $18 and I was going to tip $6 cash. So, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Waited for 1 1/2 hour before calling the restaurant and they said the driver picked up the food a while ago. Then I called GrubHub 800# and they, after putting me on hold for a while, told me due to some inconvenience, the driver cannot deliver the food. What's worse?! They sent me an refund email saying "This refund is a courtesy from GrubHub. Driver delivered order but client never received it".

If there's a negative rating system, they certainly deserves it.

Order was 45 min late. The customer service was so I helpful... even the manager said "because you EVENTUALLY received the order, I can offer you $10 your next order for your troubles"... why would I want to continue ordering from a place whose service isn't reliable? How sneaky it is of them to do that... He straight told me he doesn't "feel" a refund is necessary since the order DID arrive.
This is the 2nd time in a row an issue has occurred with my order thru grubhub. Do yourself a favor, and order from a different delivery service

My first driver never showed up to get my order from the restaurant. After the second delay I called the restaurant and said I would come get it. I called Grubhub to cancel the driver. By the time they took me off hold, I was less than. 5 miles from the restaurant and supposedly the driver has just picked up my order and was already on her way to my house. Somehow I still managed to get home before she got there. Ultimately my food was an hour late. They had told me on the phone I would get a promo code via email, and were generally nice on the phone. However, once I saw the promo I was appalled. It didn't even cover their fee. Plus my food had sat for an hour (at least) so it was tepid.

Sent me chicken strips. I simply wanted my correct order. They said a redund is all thay could do.id rather have the food as Ive already paid. These delivery services are horrible, if your order is wrong thier is no quick fix

VERY Late!

First time using Grubhub (accidentally, to have pizza delivered) and I paid $6 delivery fee AND a $7 driver tip and the food from our favorite pizza place came an hour late! The employees' lunch period was ending when it arrived! I will never use Grubhub again even though they had a cool app to track your order and driver - but not helpful to know when it will arrive if it is going to be THAT late.

I travel the US for a living and have used Grub Hub in multiple cities I understand that things happen HOWEVER THINGS happen consistently with Grub Hub. Hours to deliver cold food. Text messages that state something is going to be delivered late. But THEY ARE WORKING ON IT. Grub Hub is a nice idea IF and that's a BIG IF it was done properly. Save your money avoid using this service. No matter what city you are in or what state, it's a total rip off.

So here I am rushing around in the morning no time to pack food, gotta get to work before I'm late. I need breakfast. I thought I would give grub hub a try. Wanted to get some breakfast burritos from Taco Bell. Add my stuff to the cart, my order was only $7.77 which is a pretty normal price to pay for breakfast. Goto checkout and behold, GrubHub is ready to charge me $18.66: D

They added the following:

Delivery Fee: 3.99 (i get that)

Small Order Delivery Fee: 2.00 (ok what the hell is going on here?)

Service Fee: 0.97 (as if the delivery fee and small order fee werent enough)

Sales Tax: (tax is tax i guess)

Driver Tip: ( maybe its optional, however i wasnt even given a choice if i wanted to add that or not it just computed this for me)

At this point where is the convenience / deal? You go from wanting 8 bucks worth of food to spending almost 20 dollars.

On top of this you still have to wait a while to get the food.
So i guess if you have deep pockets this may be a service for you? I dunno.

Worst experience ever

I guess grub hub doesn't know the year is 2019 and cell phones actually save numbers dialed in your call list smh. Items were missing from my order and I literally called customer service while I sat at my dining room table in disappointment and spoke with a customer service worker from there crappy company about my food missing. Was told I would receive a refund then I hear nothing. I get in touch with them and they tell me they don't have records of my call. Okay so who was I talking with myself. I literally have the outgoing call saying I called and I can't have the money I work hard for returned to me. If I wanted to just give my money away I'll donate it to charity not give it to your sh***y company. Glad better business bureau a thing

Grubhub has really terrible service, I honestly don't know why I continue to use them. I guess it's because it's the most popular service in Denver, but coming from SF where Caviar was on point, it's a major downgrade. Every time I order, my food is late/delayed because of driver issues or lack of drivers and it arrives cold and soggy. If you can't get enough drivers, then don't run your business here. Customer service is the worst, it's some third party and they give you excuses and the best I could get was 10% off my next order. That's not good enough. Honestly, I waited 3 hours for my lunch one day and many many times my order has arrived incorrect or delayed. The customer service is such a pain I don't even bother to complain anymore. I will definitely not be using Grubhub anymore as this is my final straw.

Horrible service

I placed an order around 11pm and 12 am passed and the order was not still delivered. I called the restaurant and was told that that the food was made bud grub hub as not sent them a driver to pick up the order. The restaurant advised me to contact grub hub to see if I was able to cancel the order. I contacted them and was told that they will cancel my food and return my money in 5 to 10 business days. So they took my money. Never sent a driver or assigned a drive to pick up and then cancel my order and are holding my money for 5 to 10 business days. I though I was purchasing something not giving out a loan.

Almost every order I've ever placed has either been hours late, I'll have multiple phone calls from the driver who cannot speak english yelling saying they can't find my apartment when it is a 25 story building that has signs on every side of the building. Shows on every google map. Customer service argues to refund me for food I've never received and shows no empathy for waiting hours - wasting my time- when I cook be cooking or ordering through DoorDash. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

I ordered from Tacobell for $20 and never received the delivery. The delivery time kept getting pushed back and after waiting for 1 hour the online tracking said delivered. I received a message from the driver Regina saying she is downstairs. I replied and called 3 times and looked for 10 minutes but never received any reply from her. Grubhub sent a voicemail saying the driver will leave in 5 minutes. I reached out to Grubhub only to hear nothing can be done. Neither a full refund nor a redelivery is possible and they could not get hold of their driver. Disappointed.
