Have realized over several orders when comparing that GrubHub was jacking up the prices on the orders by as much as $12 - $20 dollars... by listing prices on their site much higher than posted on restaurants web site or at the store... I expect everyone to make money what I don't expect is to be ripped off...

I've ordered from Grubhub many times, but the last 3 times have been horrible. The delivery drivers were fantastic and super nice. However, the ordering system is so flawed! Most recently, I placed an order and was immediately notified that my order was cancelled. There was no reason given. When I called the customer service number, the foreign guy who answered didn't know what company he was answering for and then proceeded to tell me that the restaurant I was ordering from was "broken" and that this wasn't the first time he'd gotten a call about it. This is a national chain restaurant. I then told him he needed to tell the powers that be to make it visible on the website that the restaurant in question is having issues so that innocent, hungry people like me and my family won't make the same mistake.
Also, I have a specific food allergy and more than once special instructions were not seen on another restaurant's end, resulting in more than one botched order being delivered. That restaurant went over and above to get the correct order delivered after I called to complain.

I ordered a meal for delivery and it was never delivered. Grubhub driver marked it as "delivered". When I called Grubhub customer service they acknowledged that the driver never did the delivery however Grubhub says they have a "no refund" policy. So even if you pay for a product and they do not deliver it they keep your money! That is absurd. Why would anyone pay for a product they do not receive?!

When I contacted Grubhub they customer service was terrible. They actually started egging me on to fight them. Unreal. I had to call my credit card bank and do a reversal.

Never again Grubhub!

Horrible customer service! I placed an order for a business meeting, as soon as I hit submit and the delivery time appeared, I tried to cancel the order as it would arrive after the meeting was over. As soon as I did, it popped a message saying they could not cancel as the restaurant had already started the order. BS! My cancellation attempt was made in less than a minute of hitting submit. I immediately reached out to customer service as was given the same BS as the automation. I always order from Uber Eats and ordered from Grubhub because of a special they had advertised on Facebook. Live and learn! Never again Grubhub!

Grub hub sucks

Have ordered from grub hub twice, and twice my order was inexplicably cancelled 5 minutes before the supposed delivery. This site is a sham, and they even claimed they couldn't refund my money for at least5 days... per my bank. My bank paid them in seconds, yet they couldn't give my money back for at least 5 days! Don't order from grub hub unless you really don't want to eat, and you have money to throw away for at least 5 days. Shame on you grub hub, you have no interest in being successful, you just take people's money, earn interest on it and then perhaps refund it after you make some money on it. Take your service ( or lack of it) and shove it up your grub as*!

Ordered food today for lunch... after an hour of waiting, my order said delivered! Tried contacting driver with no response, called grubhub and was offered credit with them on next order... this is third and final try with this crap service... the last two orders both had issues with missing and wrong items... byebye grubhub, you SUCK

I ordered after clicking the $12 discount, ordered food and it was never calculated in. Had to call customer service and they resolved it and I would see it in 8-10 days. I ordered at 6:20pm and meal was promised before 8pm. I got a text at 8pm saying my meal would arrive at 10:20pm. I have kids. They went to bed hungry. I called the customer service number and they said they would give me a refund of my meal. They was left cold at my door step which I got the next morning. I called them because I didnt see the refund and they said they gave me $12 off (which was a promo for ALL new customers) and waived the $3.99 delivery fee and thats all they could do. Conclusion: NEVER ORDER FROM HERE.

The delivery people have been consistently rude and when you chat to voice your complaint they really don't care. All you get is "Sorry". They don't take action on anything.

Lousy customer service

Customer service is lousy. There was a mix up with the delivery address and the delivery person texted my son's phone number instead of mine saying he couldn't find us. I received a notice that my food had been delivered. It went elsewhere, not to my address. I tried contacting the delivery man by text and calling. I was unable to make contact. Also there was a glitch with the "grub hub help" button. I called the restaurant who were very nice but could do nothing. In desperation we ordered pizza. Meanwhile I got hold of grub hub virtual chat. That person said sorry but they can't refund the money. They would give me 50 percent off my next delivery. Oh boy! A refund of $2.25! I asked, " did you ask the delivery person where they dropped the food?" NO! "Did you ask what he did with the food. Ate it? Took it back to the restaurant? L. NO! So I spent $4.50 for delivery, plus I tipped the delivery man for an order I never received. I was out $36 and no food. I refused the 50 percent refund of the delivery charge on the grounds that I would not be using grub hub again. The response. "Okay, thank you. Have a nice day." They honestly didn't care about losing a customer.

This company lacks the basic infrastructure and back end support to provide the services. They charged me an additional 4.36 without telling me. I spent an hour with customer support before getting my money back. I've had several issues with food not being delivered (and never being contacted - by11:00pm, it was too late to order from somewhere else. I had to call GrubHub to find out why the order was stalled on being prepared despite the restaurant being closed for upwards of 30 minutes). The most troubling thing about this whole experience is that I had been quoted 3 totally different amounts that had been charged at various points in my transaction. Disorganized at best and criminal at worst. Stay away unless you want to lose an hour of your life trying to get your money back.

They left out the main dish on my order. The delivery driver asked about it at pick up and grub hub told him to deliver it and have me call after delivery! Refunded only missing item. I had to go out myself for the food.

Ordered food at 5:05pm and the food never arrived. I called the restaurant at 6:58pm and they indicated my food had been sitting there since 5:35pm. I immediately contacted #Grubhub and requested to have my order cancelled and the funds refunded. They said all they could do was provide me a 20% discount on my next purchase. I simply said either cancel the order and refund me my money or I'll simply call my bank and have the purchase disputed. In the end the GrubHub manager said fine we can refund you the money. I hung up the phone called my bank to block the purchase just in case they want to be slick. In the end, the #Grubhub app has been deleted off my phone and here is the bad review I threatened them with if they didn't cancel the order immediately and refund my money.

Shady business practice

My girlfriend, myself, and my two daughters ordered through Grubhub. I sat behind my girlfriend and watched her select 'delivery' AND enter a tip percentage for the driver. Payment is processed, and to our surprise the confirmation showed we needed to pick it up. Customer service was a joke. So, some questions:
1. How can I select delivery and it gets changed. I am web application architect, and this just doesn't happen.
2. Are they so technologically inept that the don't have the ability to examine an audit trail and find the problem? From the other reviews, this isn't an isolated problem.
3. "Bc the order was confirmed by the restaurant we can't refund your order." B. S.
4. Who the hell gets the tip we entered?!?
5. Any lawyers wanting a class action to brighten their next year are going to have a freakin' field day.
6. I will be writing up this experience in several forums, and each day I shall provide an ever more vicious critique, both to all members of management and to all grubhub employee emails I can find.
7. My entire network, from Microsoft to Google to Amazon to the Big 4 Consulting companies will be informed, with a copy of the customer service rep's assinine response.

Awful Experience!

Awful experience, the first and last time I'm using them! The food got market as delivered, but never received anything. Called support and after being on hold for a while, they told the driver can't make it and they will refund my money for the inconvenience. The support guy said that he would send me an email with the confirmation. I've never got the confirmation email, or my money back!

I cant believe these guys are still in business. In the past 17 days I've ordered through them three times. They have only delivered once! The first time they didnt I let it slide I told my self everyone has off days. So I picked that food up myself and they refunded me the delivery fee. Tonight though I've had it! I ordered through them they said delivery between 7:45-8:10 I always wait till the last time to give them the chance. So 8:30 rolls around I'm sitting here crunching my stomach cause I'm so hungry my 7 year old is on repeat telling me hes so hungry and my husband is breathing over my neck asking when the food will be here (you get my drift we were hungry and tired from working all day) I give the restaurant a call and they tell me GrubHub picked the order up at 7:50. So naturally I call GrubHub and they said we picked it up at 8:24 ok so they should be here right?! WRONG! I call GrubHub back up at 9 and they said sorry we will refund you. REFUND ME! Wheres my fricken food! He tells us to order again. So here I am drinking a beer waiting for my second order but this time my husband is picking it up cause apparently GrubHub isnt capable of doing their job. So Thanks AGAIN! Grubhub for ruining a night of relaxation for my family and I. I will NEVER order from you again a**h****!

"The Worst Ever"

I ordered food three hours early. I get a call after the delivery time only to hear that she can't be hear for 3 hours! Are you kidding me! The guy at Grubhub said he understands and believes I deserve a refund... really!

Camila was our deliverer, she was so clueless on how to do her job. She decided to leave when we were outside waiting to get our food. We were calling and texting her multiple times. Because of her leaving we are out all of our money because they refused to give us a refund. This was the worst service I have ever encountered and will absolutely never use grub hub again and will make sure no one around me uses it either.

STEER CLEAR AWAY. The company is a huge cheap rip-off, wouldn't even provide a full refund of my delivery order when my driver, Hamado didn't even muster ringing my doorbell upon arrival. They said a "full refund" could not be placed because Hamado had tried calling me, but if the guy had simply rung the doorbell none of this problem would have occurred. They kept insisting only a 50% refund would be provided which is absurd.

Hope Hamado and Grubhub enjoyed the free meal and fee they ripped out of their customers. Disgusting company. Use Postmates, Ubereats instead.
