Extremely slimy business practices and nonexistent customer service. Lots of hidden fees in the fine print. You'll usually end up paying less buying directly from the merchant. Items are shipped from abroad and take an unreasonable amount of time to ship. Need a refund? Not gonna happen. Need to talk to someone In customer service? Good luck.
I'm currently in the process of trying to get back money that I paid for a hotel. I paid through Groupon but the hotel claims that they never received payment so I ended up paying twice. So either Groupon or the hotel has my money. I have no way of knowing. And because Groupon doesn't even have a customer service number there's simply no telling when or if they'll ever get around to answering my email.
Do yourself a favor and just buy directly from the merchant. Whatever minuscule discount you may or may not get is simply not worth it.
Best to take on one offer at a time. I purchased several items. They were sent to several wrong addresses. No help from Groupon!
Not trusted, selling cobones that are not accepted by merchants, and their customer service is useless, not helpful at all, a complete rip off, be aware.

I didn't learn my lesson soon enough and bought several hundred dollars worth of goods and services before I accepted how INFERIOR their products and services. ALL the items of clothing I purchased were cheap and I had to discard them. I lost money with a company called Rose Farmers because of their deceptive advertising. The Blood Pressure cuff conked out witin a month! Customer service consists of Bots and/or agents that communicate LIKE Bots. Groupon tries hard not to refund your money in USD preferring instead to issue Groupon Bucks...what a laugh! Thereby FORCING you to order MORE of their Swill. Right now, I am terminally ill and they have once AGAIN refused to refund my money, instead trying to coerce me to purchase more Rubbish with their Play money. I REFUSE! They can keep it, and I will try my best to educate as many people about them until I die
On 12/28/2022, my nephew and I bought 4 tickets online for the Hop-On Hop-Off Washington DC bus ride; $156.80 each on 2 different credit cards. The tickets were never available to us within a reasonable time frame, nor they sent us copies of the tickets at a later time. We called their Customer Service and never got an answer. We immediately disputed the charges with our credit cards with no luck. GROUPON never proved that the tickets were made available or used, I tried to resolve the situation without any success, they adduced all kinds of legal jargon like "The Fine Print" on the deal, but yet they never proved anything.
Absolutely the Worst Customer Service I have ever received. Was not given option to review shipping and taxes before purchase.
I purchased tickets from GROUPON for Universal Studios. I drove for hours to get there. When I gout there the tickets were for the wrong date! I ended up purchasing tickets using my credit card. Groupon wouldn't give me a refund either. Groupon and they ripped me off. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
I purchased tickets through Groupon and nvr received my tickets the day of the game I went to event with and email I received from Groupon/vivid that only had 1 ticket info and it was invalid when scanned. This was a boys day out with my 3 small grandsons that was excited to be going to their 1st professional basketball game, so I'm stuck looking stupid and I couldn't disappoint them so I had to come out of pocket of $100 plus just to get us into game... Now I'm having a hard time from Groupon getting a refund even though Vivid confirmed with me that they refunded Groupon...I will never use your service again... If I could give zero stars I would *******
I got charged twice. They absolutely refuse to give a refund despite it being an issue on there end. I used a code I purchased to make my check out balance $0 but when I finished my order it hit my account twice! Thieves...
I have used Groupon before without a problem. I booked a hotel and Groupon charged me 125$ in occupancy tax. When I received my receipt I immediately contacted Groupon to cancel and they said the window for cancellation has closed. Unbelievable. Ty He total was 392$. See image below for invoice
This company are the absolute worst, their customer service is shocking. They lie to you about your order, they refuse to cancel or refund your money for items you have not received. The staff just are rude and send you cheeky messages when you dare to complain about the poor service you receive. They then deleted my account when I told them I was going to take this further. Avoid.
I bought a 2 night stay at Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel but a few days ahead of time, I realized I had to cancel one night. Groupon (through chat, since there was no one to call in Customer Service) said I had to take up the matter with the hotel and the hotel said I had to take the matter up with Groupon. Plans change and things come up and I think Groupon should have been able to make an exception, especially since I gave them a few days notice. Because of the lack of good customer service, I give them 1 star. We here in the hotel for 1 night only and got ripped off since we checked out in the early morning.

Upon arrival, they offered an upgrade for $69. We accepted it, and to cut a long story short, we found bed bugs on the bed in the middle of the night. I took a video of it and quickly ran to reception to report it; however, no one was around. I took a video of that as well. I checked both washrooms, and no one was in there either. I returned to my room, and we started packing. We were here to celebrate our special day, but it was now out of the window. We dialed zero to speak with the operator, and William said he would visit us shortly. He inspected the room, agreed that it was the bed bug in that room that we captured on the video, apologized, and moved us to another room. We were terrified when he added that there was no guarantee for the other room as the hotel was old. Unfortunately, it was almost 1 am, and we had limited options. Thinking about it, now it explains why the central entrance door had broken glass when we checked in. There must have been some upset customers for similar reasons.
I asked to speak with the manager, who would only arrive at 10 am. Manager Tonya comes prepared with an attitude as she must be getting paid to handle such situations. So in total, we paid USD 109, out of which she refunded $10 for the room upgrade + $15 for the parking and said we couldn't do anything about the room charges. They have yet to send any inspection report either. Due to the bed bug infestation, this listing should be removed or flagged with the Ministry of Health. Tonya also advised contacting Groupon for a refund of the room charges.
I have tried chatting with multiple customer service agents who credited my account with 12 Groupon bucks, which is unfair. And trust me, this is not about money anymore. Our special day was interrupted with no sincere apology, and it's a shame that such vendors are getting promoted through Groupon. We trust Groupon, and because of that, we buy those products and services.
Please stay away from this company, they ripped us off. We couldn't utilize the coupon through Groupon yet they charged my mother's debit card. No service were rendered ergo none should of been charged to her card. They are super wrong n need to return that money. Basically I had to pay cash for my oil change at Valvoline

I always had the best experience with groupon. I purchased the 2 groupons and wasn't able to use them before their expiration and neither was able to extend them. I contacted the customer support and was refunded the balance right away. It says a lot about customer support. Kelvin was very kind and professional and helped me get refund in no time. As a customer we want the best and groupon is the best
So l was charged $10 for my drink instead of $6. The calamari was chewy and we told them but my husband being nice said it was ok when they offered to make us new calamari or refund our money but my husband is too nice so we were charged for it so I forgot about asking for the $6 Long Island Ice Tea during Happy Hour where it should have been $6.
Make sure your prices charged are correct! The crab legs and shrimp were good but I could not eat the calamari. Horrible calamari! Will not be going back for my birthday!
So I bought a Swedish couples massage. When I went to schedule it had been redeemed already. I contacted Groupon and they said that they will get in contact with the company. So a week later they email me saying that they unredeemed it and I can go ahead and use it. I told them I no longer wanted it due to the problems that occurred when I tried to use it. The company never responded to me. Now they're telling me that I can't get my money back because it's been more than 3 days! I will never order anything from them again. I don't understand how they can't give me my money back when they're the ones that let a scam site post on their website. Don't trust Groupon
AMC advertised $7.99 per ticket for movie showing, that was not what I was charged. I bought 4 tickets for $11.15 each ticket with a $6.00 fee No deal here I read all fine print I submitted a complaint to Groupon and am still waiting for a response 3 days later. Poor business here AMC and Groupon will th ik nk twice about using them again!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
