Staff was really nice during my vacations and I didnt have any problems with the car. Weeks later I get a fine for not paying toll for the Merseyside Bridge, which I did. Even though the fine was cancelled the administration fee of 68£ wont be refunded. No answers to emails.

They picked us up from the airport, carried our suitcases, gave us a clean car, informed us about the necessary information, and told us to contact them if we had any problems.I didn't have any problems while delivering the car, they dropped us back to the airport. Deposit money returned within 2 weeks. I am very satisfied with the service. I recommend it to everyone.

Good general experience, good car from the category they promised. Picking up and dropping off the car did not take long, airport pickup worked well, too. I strongly suggest to take out the full insurance cover they offer: it will make your life easier whether you are having an accident or not.

Haben einen Kleinwagen über booking.com bei GreenMotion gebucht; der Schalter war leicht zu finden in der Ankunftshalle und das Personal war trotz später Stunde sehr höflich - es gibt dort sogar einen sehr gut deutschsprachigen Mitarbeiter, was wir beim zweiten Besuch der Firma erleben durften, als wir die Mietdauer verlängerten, was auch sehr unkompliziert war - so gesehen war der Service insgesamt sehr gut und auch der Parkplatz ist ganz in der Nähe der Flughalle - das Einzige, was ein wenig kritisch zu betrachten war, dass die Keyless Funktion des Autoschlüssels nicht funktionierte und nach kurzer Zeit im Display "Öl nachfüllen" aufleuchtete, was aufgrund des noch ausreichenden Ölstandes nach Prüfung durch einen Tankwart für unsere zurückgelegte Distanz über 9 Tage dann doch kein Problem war; bei der Rückgabe wies ich daraufhin, worauf man sich gleich um beides kümmerte, damit die nächsten keine Probleme haben; die Rückgabe selbst inkl. Des Checks verlief auch sehr unkompliziert und sympathisch!

In Lettland gibt es unmittelbar neben dem Flughafen von Riga eine Gemeinde, die "Entry Fee" in Höhe von EUR 2,00 (Umweltprämie) bei der Einfahrt verlangt, was auch durch entsprechende Hinweise gekennzeichnet ist.
Unmittelbar im Land angekommen hat man erst einmal was anderes zu tun, als sich um diese Schilder zu kümmern.
Weder wird man beim Abholen des Fahrzeugs darauf hingewiesen, noch sind entsprechende Hinweise im Vertrag oder im Fahrzeug.
Beim Durchfahren wird das Kennzeichen abgescannt und ohne bezahlte "Entry Fee" sind jedes Mal EUR 50.- Strafzahlung fällig.
Zudem wird durch GreenMotion eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von EUR 72,60 pauschal verlangt, was als Wucher bezeichnet werden darf.

Green Motion gave us excellent service. The kiosk was so easy to locate. The CSRs were friendly and patient. My only concern was the switching of vehicles from a VW to an opus when we got there. We chose the VW on purpose to accommodate our drivers. Other than that the service and price couldn't be beat!

The initial formalities went smoothly. As it turned out, the car we booked was not available. We were offered another, higher class for an additional fee. We didn't agree, so we had to wait (I don't know if it's standard trickery procedure). Fortunately, after about half an hour, the Toyota Yaris in the hybrid version appeared and despite the fact that it is a smaller car than the compact class, we were satisfied, we got more for less (plus low fuel consumption, good dynamics and nice handling on Scottish roads). We took care of the car normally and there were no problems when returning the compliment, formalities, surcharge for excess miles and that's it. I don't think we would have any problems using this company in the future. The service was at a good level. Recommend if you want a cheap car rental.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
