The service here is superb however the after service is where I have my issue. It's almost 3 weeks later and my security deposit is still being held.

Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! And please make sure you avoid booking through 3rd party websites too. We went to Croatia last spring but booked this in Budapest, Hungary, so 18 months ago and got a parking ticket that we tried to pay the moment we realised it, but with the language barrier, we could not figure it out and we were running to the airport. I tried to pay for it numerous times online after from Hong Kong where we live with no functionally working links at all. The website was not working, so eventually I gave up. I read at the time online this is a common problem in Croatia. The fine was 13 euros. Just got a letter now from Green Motion that we owe 173 euros with a link for payment and threatening letter from a Croatian Lawyer they work with. Since I do not need more trouble in my life, I pressed the link and paid and realised after it is 40 euros over the orginal fine, because it adds other fees, admin, transaction, etc and now asking them where is my difference of 40 euros. Did not get that back either, I am Hungarian and French and furious and can communiate with them in both languages. Please avoid them at all costs. Watch what you book through 3rd party sites too. I normally do not leave bad reviews but this is ridiculous and completely unfair and should be illegal or they should have this organised so people have a chance to pay their original fines. But all the fees plus another 40 euros on top. Unbelievable.

Die Abwicklung sowie der Transport vom Flughafen und zum Flughafen war einfach Spitze. Das Auto war Erste Klasse und der Service. Unbezahlbar. Angekommen, Abgeholt und Innerhalb von 2 Minuten das Auto bekommen. So wünscht man sich eine Fahrzeugvermietung. Das gleiche bei der Rückgabe. Angekommen Abgegeben, kurz angeschaut und dann zack zum Flughafen. Immer wieder Gerne.

The reception at the office was very good. Helpful and efficient. I upgraded to an automatic car and off I went. The following day when I got in the car I had a warning light for service and a message telling me that the car needed oil, as well as a light telling me that the tires needed attention. I contacted Green motion who told me not to worry as the car was due a service. It had only done 12,000 miles at this point, but ok. The lights continued to appear. I decided to check the oil which was in fact fine. The water however, was below minimum and needed topping up. The tires were also fine but the car computer needed to be updated. Obviously I had no idea how to do this and there were no manuals in the car.
Other than that, the car was fine.
I also paid a lot of money for the extra insurance so was a little put out when the gentleman came out to check the vehicle when I returned. This has not happened before!

We had left a seat coustion in the front seat for my wife's wheelchair. I called it in to the front desk and was told that I had to contact the email side of your company first. I did that and had no luck finding it thru them. I also contacted your main online support service and was told to contact the spot where I dropped off the car. I did that and with no help was told to go online.

Car and office were very good the down side was it was nearly an hour waiting for the bus transfer from airport to office. The driver Dave was very unhelpful as well. We had 2 out of 3 people needing assistance to get onto the bus as the step was very high. He refused to assist meaning another passenger had to help them into and out of the bus.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
