Picking up the Green Motion vehicle at the hotel remote from Heathrow terminal #2 using the hotel bus system which only runs every hour or so is not a great service. We used a taxi to get from Green Motion's remote location to Heathrow Terminal 4 at £30 as we had a second piece of luggage.

Getting to the place from airport was a little confusing as someone was holding a sign for different companies and we went to wrong company. Once we got to green motion everything was as expected, very professional staff and our rental was in great condition. We got dropped back at the airport from one of their drivers. I would definitely recommend this company.

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges.
Please visit https://greenmotion.com/terms and select the country you rented from to see the deposit information which will advise the general timeframe that you can expect for the release of the deposit.
Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

I rented an economy car for 4 days; pretty new, decent value for money. When I returned the car, 5 staff members were behind the desk and no other customers were inside; I was asked to wait outside at the car, and it then took at least 10 mins before someone finally came out to inspect the car - why did it take so long? I was quizzed if I'd changed a tire until - back inside - a colleague could find in the system the odd tire had been reported before - why was this info not available together with other previously reported scratches/marks?

At the office, I was impressed with the vehicle options available, and even had a good experience exploring upgrade possibilities. Before checking out the car, I appreciated the clear instructions on its specific features, including details about fuel and how to engage reverse – something often overlooked by other companies.
Extending my contract was also a breeze, handled with professionalism and no hassle. What truly set Green Motion apart, however, was their incredible support during an unexpected incident. Through my own fault, the car battery died late one evening. I called them at 11:00 p.m., and to my relief, they promptly dispatched assistance and gave me a jump start. This level of customer service, especially at such a late hour, is truly commendable and speaks volumes about their commitment to their clients.
Returning the car was just as straightforward. There were no attempts to oversell me on daily insurance, and they were perfectly comfortable with me using my credit card's coverage. Furthermore, unlike some companies that try to find minor faults to charge for damages, Green Motion conducted the return inspection fairly and honestly.
Overall, I highly recommend Green Motion for anyone looking for a reliable, customer-focused, and stress-free car rental experience. They've earned my trust and future business.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
