Apparently is a good value and easy web process
Rented a car from green motion for one month in Lisboa with the intent of returning the car to Lisboa. As it turned out, it would be more convenient to return the car to Faro Portugal instead. Green motion was kind enough to let us do that and only charge a small fee. That helped us a great deal as then we were able to just catch a bus from Faro to Seville, Spain. I highly recommend using green motion!

Problem 1: the car was on empty when we collected it. I returned it with over 50 per cent.
Problem 2: despite our best attempts we missed the payment if a 1.50 pd toll. You didn't send me the notice for nearly 2 weeks and then refused to engage over the fault of the tunnel company. You paid the fine without reference to me and with your charges the cost became about 180 pds. I am furious about this and will be taking the matter further. Problem 3: the car wasn't clean.

The pick up point is just across the road from the airport and we arrived in the evening on the 3rd of May. The staff were incredible and once we complete the paperwork and got the keys, the lady on reception kindly gave us a map of the island and recommended places to visit during our one week stay. The car was immaculate and exactly what we wanted. Upon returning the car 7 days later, the staff were just as friendly and I would recommend Green Motion to anyone visiting Zakinthos.

I've hired from green motion multiple times and have always received immaculate service! A few months ago I took a trip and booked with another company and it was a disaster from start to finish! So lesson learned and I vowed to never use any one but green motion again!

Collection of car took over an hour, we didn't get the Fiat 500 i booked and paid for 6 months before travel! The Panda was totally clean battered on virtually every panel, which I photographed and videoed prior to driving away as advised by the lovely lady who did the rental agreement 👍 fortunately as on return a bump would have been charged to me but I had 3 forms of proof it existed prior to rental
Car was totally reliable, had recently black painted sidewalls on tyres, went everywhere successfully Would hire again but I'd email ahead and expect what I'd paid for

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
Answer: They are robbers and scammers, never think to rent a car from green motion, they will charge you thousands of euros, instead buy a new car
