Was met at arrivals with a board with my name and taken to departures area. All paperwork and inspection done. Staff were great, made sure all was understood. Car was spotless and in very good condition, low mileage. Return was as good with staff waiting at same spot where we collected the car. Will use them again.

The car was nearly new and very comfortable. Very fast collection at Southend, and return was quick too. The staff, Mario and Muhammad provided an excellent service and were extremely helpful.

Car was not the one we booked I30, but a Nissan Pulsar, also a decent car. We had problems with opening the fuel cap, reporter it when we returned the car, but if anything will be done about it?

All was well, except there was e a smell of cigarette smoke, when we picked up the car.
My husband and I owned and operated an automobile repair business for 40 years. His diagnosis was the car was in terrible need of a front end alignment, And new struts. We made our trip there and back…. But he was concerned about the constant pulling to the left front.

Having previously rated this company 5 stars, I am saddened to say that I will never book again. Greenmotion took a deposit of £1500 and held it for 17 working days. In the meantime, I've had to pay an additional €92 to cover exchange rates.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
