Great service as always from the Green Motion team at Stansted. But the Kia Sportage was a really unpleasant car to drive. Driver 'aids' wrestling the steering all the time and on one occasion performing an emergency stop for no reason!

New car, spotlessly clean, and very friendly staff, both at the Lisbon pick-up point and at Porto drop-off point. The only problem was the extremely slow car delivery times, even though we had already entered all the information online. The same problem occurred when returning the car: it took a long time for the airport shuttle to depart. Nothing to complain about, the staff were really friendly.

Abbiamo lasciato un deposito di 1500£ il 21 luglio come da contratto e a oggi, 5 settembre, il deposito non ci è ancora stato restituito pur non avendo causato alcun danno al veicolo noleggiato. Ritengo sia inappropriato trattenere una cifra così elevata per così tanti giorni senza alcuna giustificazione. Non siamo quindi soddisfatti del nostro noleggio

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges.
Please visit https://greenmotion.com/terms and select the country you rented from to see the deposit information which will advise the general timeframe that you can expect for the release of the deposit.
Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

I've used Green Motion several times now. I find the vehicles are always clean and in good condition. The staff at the pick up point are always friendly and prompt getting the booking completed to get you on your way quickly.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
