Booked a round trip of 5 flights at around £2500 over a month.
One got cancelled due to one of the countries governments introducing flight restrictions. It took GOTOGATE an entire week after i got the cancellation text from the airline to update their "system" and believe that it was cancelled. Then, they wouldn't rebook it, or refund a single flight, nor would they allow any changes due to their policies.
The only option their "policies" offered was to cancel ALL 5 FLIGHTS, conveniently charging a £13 fee on every one of them per person and leaving us stranded. We couldn't even write that flight off and no-show at the airport because they told us they would cancel our other flights if we did that.
The airline itself would have allowed us to modify the single flight, but GOTOGATE policies did not. I wasted 3 hours being bounced between their various indian call center departments being given incorrect information and "computer says no" responses until 'Vishnu' the manager, told me there was nothing he could do because it was their "policy" not to allow changes.
This is a bottom of the barrel middle-man-company that offers nothing in exchange for its fees. We tried to have the airline purchase the booking so we could modify it, but it turns out GOTOGATE never even paid the airline, they just sat on the money for months and wasted days of our time.

Do yourself a favour and just book direct with the airline. You seriously don't need scammers like gotogate involved.
Do not book flights through booking.com because they use them to manageyour booking. They are uncontactable.

Awful experience. I used GoToGate to buy tickets and during the reservation process I introduced wrongly the surname of one passenger. As soon as I received the purchase confirmation email; literally a minute after buying the tickets, I realized of the error and called the airline. They explained that the change could be made with no penalty fee if requested 24 hours after the purchase but that it had to be GoToGate submitting the request, not me. Here started a nightmare of a journey that so far has involved more than 20 conversations with 20 different operator to whom I've had to explain the situation individually every different time. Not once, after not resolving my issue, they have agreed to pass my call to a manager.
In a nutshell, as confirmed by the airline and in a few occasions by GoToGate operators, GoToGate submitted the request to amend the name of the passenger after the 24 hrs window frame passed, even though I made this request GoToGate literally 15 minutes after purchasing the tickets. Result: the airline refused to make the amendment and they said that a new ticket has the be bought as they are now considering it a name of passenger.
Every call to GoToGate is slightly different to the previous one. In one they tell you they understand the problem and assure you that a manager will get back to you with a compensation proposal; in the next call they say that they did everything by the book; just as they were meant to, and insist that you call the airline directly and resolve things with them...What else can be said? Oh yes, depsite multiple attempts to raise a complaint internally they repeatedly did not allow me to do so. I sent them emails and I would get a supposedly automated response saying that the inbox was not being monitored and instructing you to go to their website if you wanted to fill a complaint form. Of course you will then go to the website and the form is nowhere to be found; and then you will speak to an operator who will tell you that the complaint forms were actually disabled from their website and that they did not take complaints over the phone neither. And anyway, if that wasn't enough my enquiry was still not at a stage in which I could officially file a complaint.
While they organized none reservation possibilities, they take your money than you wait for your refund if they do that 50 times a day at the end of the week makes a lot of money in the bank for go-to gate,has a cash flow, this not right in my school's?

They booked a flight through Allegiant Air for me as a third party. They charge $165.00 total for the ticket. I had to cancel the flight 3 hours later (well within 24 hours). They said they would refund me the total amount from Allegiant Air. Come to find out; the Allegiant ticket was only $90 (I even called allegiant myself to confirm). So that means GoToGate is taking a $75.00 to book something I could have booked on my own - even though I called them and canceled my flight within 3 hours of booking. They have it in the fine print so you can't see it, but they promote the "full money back" by referring to the airline only, which makes you think the full amount you are paying gotogate also is refundable. Very tricky, very sneaky and bad business. I would understand a $15 or $25 or whatever fee, but $75 is absurd. I called customer service and complained, but they just basically said "tough luck." So here I am warning you! Use Expedia or some other third-party booking company, or go straight through the airline.
Terrible. I don't understand how such a site can exist. Bad information arrives in the mail. They don't even help with simple questions. They are trying to extract a lot of extra money. For example, I can't check because they don't send good data.
I have had REALLY BAD experience with Gotogate, to the point that I think they are running a SCAM. I had booked a flight in 2021. But soon after, the outbreak of Covid (omicron variant) happened. My flight was cancelled and hence, a refund was promised to me within 8 weeks, which seemed reasonable given the Covid situation. However, after multiple calls, mails, chat requests, they have not returned my money even after ONE FULL YEAR. They keep saying the airlines has not returned the money. This is an OUTRIGHT LIE, because the airline claims to return the money within 20 days approximately. I myself had experience in a booking with the airline directly (in fact during Covid times) and they had refunded me the money within the same day on cancellation. I think, the company plans to take the refund money and vanish from existence. I recommend no one to use their service, because they are, I repeat, a SCAM company.

I paid extra for "flexible ticket" option for changing/canceling/refundable booking and it was a complete scam. They still charged all kind of changing fees, plus tried to charge $400+ for a ticket that costs only $150.
This company is the most unorganized and incompetent travel website I ever had to deal with. I had to call them 10-15 at least to correct a ticket that I had to change. I was disconnected at least 7 time and they never called me back. They just keep sending me to different agents who were all incompetents.
Never book any flight with them even if you are saving some money. It has been literaly a nightmare to deal with them

Booked flight and paid, when I wanted to change the time and date flight called them and requested for change, answer very simple, call the airline direct, worst to come called the airline AIRASIA, worst airline ever, no answer only voice mail, wow. Got surprised no one called after calling them over 10 times. Hey guys just to advise you guys, don't book Gotogate, cheap flights, and the worst of all AIRASIA
The company doesn't follow their own polices. We purchased refundable tickets, we have all confirmation from them in their own chat, fair rules on their own website says we can refund, but at the end their just refuse to refund our money. They ripoff people, disgusting feelings.
If there is less than 1 star i will give... i lost my ticket because of thier call center agents,,, more than 40 mins to answer the calls,,, when they send me confirmation about the refund they change the amont again... very bad experience
I should've read the reviews before wasting my money and time. I paid about £150 for getting a flexible ticket, I followed all their instructions to change the flight (date only) but after a series of conversations with the customer service (no less than 4 hours international calls), they didn't make the change, no refund and I missed my flight!
I booked a flight with baggage and found upon arrival at the airport that the baggage was not included in my booking. I called Gotogate from the airport and was directed to purchase the bags and they would refund me. I have called them dozens of times and they only refunded me the amount that I originally paid for the bags and not the premium I had to pay at the airport. The difference was about $500. They kept telling me when I called that they would have someone call me back in a set period of time (48 hours, 3 days, etc.) and all but one time that wasn't the case. This company is run by call centers in India and their services are absolutely horrible. Pay the little extra to stay away from scam companies like Gotogate!

Not only I received the amended confirmation (with no actual flight tickets on it) less than 48 hours before the actual trip but when the passenger got at the airport, guess what happened? NO FLIGHTS WERE BOOKED.
Thanks to the lady in the counter calling the airline on the other side of the globe for more than 1 HOUR the passenger could board the plane in time for his flight. Meanwhile, it took me 25 minutes of waiting on the phone to get someone from Gotogate to answer me, and I guess they are so busy with calls because their service is so terrible everyone calls to complain.
In other words: AVOID GOTOGATE LIKE THE PLAGUE. My flights got cancelled by the airline (which can happen), Gotogate offers me an alternative and never books it, despite telling me it is all sorted.
To make things better the indian gentleman on the phone could only say "We are sorry for the inconvenience, anything else I can assist you with?"...
