I have received multiple e-mails from folks with a. GMX email address. ALL of them are merely letters strung together with no apparent rhyme or reason. I have added. GMX to my Junk List just to be rid of the frustration of trying to decipher the message. I hope NO ONE who actually needs an e-mail address tries to use this service - your e-mails will become automatic Junk by - I am certain - MANY more than I!
I hate the fact that the email server doesn't remember your email address or password
And the fact that the email server rejects users gaining access to its facilities because of lacking adobe flash player.
So guys or girls reading this your better off with the crappy G-mail servers
:(
I have been very frustrated with cmx.com for email. Comcast and several other email providers will not forward this mail. There is no tech support. I get generic advise. Lately I get the generic advise in one day. It used to take over 24 hours! I can not recommend this.
I recently got an email solicittion for a Service Manager position w/GMX. But instead of blindly applying for it (like a "Chump"), I decided to do a little research on this company... and thanx to the numerous 1-Star ratings, I've decided to flag their message to me as SPAM and not apply for the job. From what the reviews said about GMX, I'd be better working at McDonald's!
Why am I only able to get junk mail from GMX recommendations for mortgages, credit cards and other garbage but I am not able to receive email from friends
THE WORST SERVICE EVER I AM GOING TO LET EVERYONE KNOW INCLUDING ALL AGENCIES THAT CONTROL THE INTERNET. IT IS A SCAM... DO NOT RETURN CALLS, OR ANSWER CHATS AND MY EMAIL ACCOUNT SEEMS TO BE SABOTAGED. 1&1 OUT OF GERMANY OWNS THIS COMPANY... STOP GLOBAL BUSINESS. IT IS RUINING AMERICA... I HAVE CALLED MAIL.COM, WHO IS ALSO OWNED BY 1&1 THEY HAVE GIVEN ME ALL "WRONG NUMBERS'... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A GLOBAL COMPANY... IT IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND AMERICANS. KEEP OUR BUSINESS HERE IN AMERICA WHERE WE CAN GET SERVICE. USE YOUR HEADS PEOPLE!
I found GMX searching Google, looking for reviews on email providers. I have gmail for google play, hate yahoo, have outlook but don't use it ( I don't get all my emails). GMX is totally the great! It has easy tools. You don't need Steve Jobs or computer geek to help you. No Spam! No missed mail! You may like it too!
Decent email system but ruined with inane spam (from GMX!) and misc. Annoyances like a reminder to "log out" if you forget to do so during your last email session.
They also have a bad habbit of removing your email accounts for NO REASON. So keep that in mind if you decide to use this service. They can decide that for one or another reason your account needs to be removed and there isn't anything you can do about it.
Use Yandex Mail instead, hundreds of times better than this.
I used GMX as a reserve e-mail and I was not active for a couple of months. They blocked my account because of this. I think this is not a right policy for a service which has respect for itself
Keep getting spam email from gmx. I cant reply as constant failing. Dont think the users are idiots. More like the idiots operating it saying its not for idiots... smfh
GMX is a synonym for safe and serious communication. So, is for serious users and not for idiots. Otherwise, everyone has the possibility of choice and I would advise all who criticize: I advise you to continue to use Gmail and similar service providers...
Absolutley discusting. Still waitin for them to fix my daughter 49cc quadbike that she is suppose to be getting for christmas got it out of the box done everything by the book battery dont work the motors seized the back axel is bent and the plastics are so flimsy very rude and cocky staff expect to me to run around and take the bike 10hours away when its under warranty. I wouldnt suggest gmx to anybody..
Ads keep blocking the space where I log in; quite often I can't even access my e-mail, and those reminders to log out are annoying. I will be changing as soon as I find a provider that doesn't want a mobile phone number.
Every time I check my inbox I have multiple fake job offers from con artist and scammers emailing me. I don't know how the hell these losers are getting my email. I have contacted GMX customer service several times to resolve this annoying issue but they have never been professional enough to rectify the situation. It's almost like they're condoning the behavior of the pathetic a!# holes that target innocent people to try to phish for information. I absolutely have no respect for GMX or they're faithful scammers and con artist they call customers. F all of them
Why do you block everyone for irregular activity when they have done nothing irregular? Surely your systems are at fault not the users?
I have had GMX account for almost two years. It is unremarkable in every way - It works just as it should. I have no complaints or negative commnets to make. So many bad reviews, but for me it is a gem of a service. I use it with andriod, with thunderbird and I log in direct. All works just as it should do and always has done. I log in from all over the world, no trouble.
One thing you might notice when reading all of the negative reviews is that the negative reviewers have only one or two reviews compared to the positives which have 100's. Enough said.
This service I have been using now for a few months using POP mail with mozilla thunderbird and it is fantastic. I write e-mails and they send. I receive emails and get a notification in my system tray. I love this company and I love this email. GMX 4 LIFE!
Ps: I've never had my email hacked by china. (gmail)
Further to my review of yesterday, my email was unblocked today. It would seem that some have been unfortunate enough for this situation to last weeks or months. I am not sure if my calling 1&1 and emailing *******@corp.gmx.com expedited things, but I am glad to say I wasn't one of those people who had to wait for so long. The blocking of my account unfortunately happened on a Friday night and there was no support over the weekend. Perhaps others had theirs unblocked within less time (?). It is difficult to know what's what because most people only review things when there is a problem, yet do not go back to the review site once things are resolved - hence why I am bucking the trend here. Still, I see this blocking as such an inconvenience, and possibly even a risk, that I will indeed close the account anyway.
I've used GMX for a few months, and I've gone back to an old g-mail address. I had a yahoo account for years but I had to give it up because they no longer had any spam filters. Yahoo says you have to train their spam filter like a dog, I'm sorry but my dog must have died! Then there is gmail they look into your account, and they will let anyone else look in. GMX, Yahoo, Gmail, Apple, Android and Windows seem to fight with each other all the time. My GMX wouldn't import the contact list on my IPhone, and it would lock up all the time. Also my GMX would drift off while I'm making an email draft and when I hit send the draft was just gone (Very Strange). Anyway I'm done - as my Asian friend would say - HAD NUFF THIS! PM
Like so many others, I opened an account and used it for less than 30 mins before taking a break and coming back to find my account 'blocked for irregular activity'. Contacted their tech support but no response other than an automated email that I was instructed to read carefully. It contained no useful info whatsoever.
I can't imagine how gmx is still in business, avoid the frustration and go with anyone else..
