Used to allow resetting password via form. Takes 1 minute. Removed this feature in favour of making you contact customer support and wait for a reply several days just to be required to reply back and forth several times over several days. Time taken to reset password? A month. Incredibly anti-userfiendly. Also forces you to make 2nd email account to contact support. What's the point in contacting them then if you just made a new account for it?

Worst email service ever

I have had GMX as an alternative email account for several years. I have found it to be very undependable therefore I do not use it for anything important. It is very cumbersome and not user friendly. It will kick back emails I send to my Yahoo account stating that I send too much Spam. Never sent a Spam in my life. Actually the bulk of the Spam I receive is from GMX. It is non-stop and totally useless. Do not trust this provider.

Theirs so called "security team" terrorizes legal loyal users. I receive spam and fishing message regularly, and theirs "security team" can do nothing. However, they block your email some times per months without even explanation the reason. I loss incoming business mail regularly because of them, so I switched to gmail. Don't work with these incompetent guys.

I keep getting this rubbish "our system has detected irregular activity related to your account. As a precautionary measure, we have blocked your account" and they refuse to unban the account because I don't use it regularly WTF

I love them. No problems, my problems were with Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook Express.
People, family ask me who they are and I can't really say because I don't know what GMX
Stand for. But my service from them has been 100%. I'm so glad that I changed. Surprised
To see that they don't have a higher rating, they need to be on the top with the "big boys."

Waste of time

I have waited 5 days up to now for this company to assist in recovering my password with no joy. I presume it is because i do not pay for service. I am just going to give up trying because the waste of my time is more important than their horrendous customer service/

EASY!

I'm sorry that other people have had trouble with GMX, but it has been the easiest email service I've ever used (and I've used a bunch). The few times I had questions and emailed support, I received a response within 24 hours (or usually less). Their help always solved the problems. I just love everything about it and, believe me, I am usually one of the people who has to say that whatever product everyone else loves has been nothing but a headache for me. I hope the people who have troubles with it give it another chance!

This freaking gmx guys blocked my account after 1 week of opening.
Reason "We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked."

Never open a gmx account! You've been warned

Works wonderfully

I have a bunch of accounts there, since I game and want different accounts for different games or sometimes several accounts on the same game. Also it helps me be anonymous on the web since it's harder to track you when you spray yourself all over the web using different email accounts. I use Tbird to roll them all up and GMX works great with Tbird. And I use GMX with the web too. Very nice clean interface. And unlike Google, they support multiple accounts very nicely via web or clients like Tbird.

They have drive services too, but I've not used those much. But some. They work fine.

Awesome

gmx.com provides a very simple, easy to use free email program. However if you need customer svc you have email them and it takes several emails before they understand thee nature of your question or issue. But over all I would recommend this program, just take time to figure out all the features.

Horrible suport

For no reason my gmx said invalid password. I did not change it. I tried to change it myself but it would not accept answers to security questions that I obviously new answers. I have sent over 10 emails from my sbc account for help and got one response telling me where the sign in button is located. I use this account for business purposes so even though I now have a gmail now I can not recover all my contacts including those I am in the middle of doing business with. I can not understand why they can't or won't help me out.

Difficulty access

While there are some redeeming features to GMX I am now experiencing for the second time lack of access to my account. This happened several months ago. The technical support is extremely incompetent and practically non existent. Eventully I did resume getting emails. Then I got a notice that the company was being sold. At first review of the terms and conditions I was a little uncomfortable, but thought I would take the month before the deadline to make a decision. As of August 1 I have been unable to access my account without accepting the terms and conditions. I have made about ten requests for technical support. All but one resulted in automatic replies. The one that did reply apparently did not read what I wrote because they advised me to accept the terms and conditions. I really would like to look at my email one more time before making a decision. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I loved this email browser when started... now is taking very long time to download my emails.
I'm luck having "inbox.com" email browser that never let me down... 5 stars for "inbox.com" browser email...

I'm new to GMX and so far, so good. I chose it as it was recommended by a reputable reviewer on the net as a simple, no-frills service, coming in 4th after gmail, yahoo, fire fox. This is just what I wanted for a secondary address to be used for specific purposes. I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews. The good thing is that it is free and you can opt out at any time if not completely satisfied.

This service is a disgrace and they cannot be trusted. They blocked me from accessing my email account 1 month after I started using it, (with no warning at all), even though I had done nothing wrong and the email address was used for a legitimate business. I asked them to explain what the problem was so I could resolve the issue but they wouldn't even give me an answer and all they said was """our abuse department have blocked your account and we've decided to keep it blocked. We can't tell you why we've blocked it but we hope you have a good day"""?. I have now been placed a bad situation with several of my clients and this has caused my business a lot of problems and inconvenience but GMX are now completely ignoring me and I can't access any of my important business emails or data. Be very careful if you register for an account with GMX as they are not a professional or trustworthy organisation. There have been an increasing number of reports about this same thing happening to other people so I am quite sure now that GMX is nothing more than a phishing scam hiding behind a nice looking website.
I should probably also mention that in the 4 weeks I used this service every email I sent to my clients landed in their junk/spam folders so the more reputable email providers out there have obviously blacklisted this service because they know it's run by scammers.
Using GMX has been an awful experience from start to finish and now I have to try and find a way to fix all the problems they've caused me by blocking me from my account with no reason.
Appalling... truly appalling!

I find it surprising that so many people have problems with GMX. For some reason my regular email client suddenly refused to accept email from a friend I've been talking to for over 20 years. He has had GMX for years and suggested I try that. I've been using it for several months and I have absolutely no problems with it, no Spam, nothing. Attachments come and go fine. I usually just use it for him and my regular email client for everyone else but occasionally use GMX for others and they've never reported a problem either.

Why is login so pathetic and problematic. No response from. Have tried repeatedly to access gmx.com email but no way. Service via complaints no response. I'm giving up and transferring to alternative provider.
