I used a GMX account to automate some emails with Make.com for personal and professional testing. Nothing abusive, no spam, just simple automation of workflows. One day the account was blocked without any warning or explanation. Since then, every new account I try to create gets blocked almost immediately, even before sending a single email. It feels like I have been completely banned from the system for no reason. There is no real support, no way to appeal or recover access. Honestly, I cannot trust a service that shuts you out like this. I would not recommend GMX to anyone who needs a reliable email provider.
Do your research and find out that this company is a scam as soon as possible. You would lose everything if you traded with this company, and they would steal your money. A C T *I * N V ST L T D. C O * M helped me recover all of the money I had lost, and I was no longer a victim.
In an unfortunate turn of events, I was misled by this broker and lost a significant $4000 investment. Despite my urgent search for help, I found no peace until I came across S I M O N C H * C O M. They were able to collect my monies despite the fact that all hope appeared to be lost. Their extraordinary service and passion to assisting victims of fraudulent brokers distinguish them as actual industry saviors.
Tried to report that there was a wave of fraudulent spam coming from their domain. They demanded evidence, then blacklisted me so that I couldn't provide it. This company condones fraudulent uses and should be shut down.
I currently have an FTC complaint filed and will also contact the EU, since GMX is based out of Germany.
‼‼‼ do never trust GMX ‼ can't log in anymore and no one will help. They just say it's my problem and not theirs!
After using this platform over 20 years my whole existence is on the line ‼‼
Will now go to a lawyer 🤬
Highly vulnerable E-mail platform.
Up to 10 spearfishing & Hyperlinked hacking E-mails a day in your inbox.
GMX Spam filtre is worthless.
GMX has a log-out policy for a very short time.
User need to log in every 15 minutes, even when they are connected to the service.
This feature makes this email very annoying after a while.
Nobody wants to log in to an email numerous times a day.
AVOID GMX, that's my advice.
Advertisements are active throughout the enter email reading process. The advertisements are highly sexual, degrading and targeted. Meaning that if you have strong Christian values. The ads will reflect the opposite in all areas that are unrelated to your interests. It's really odd and it seems though they are making a strong effort to insult you or convert you?
If I could give GMX less than one star, I would. My email account was blocked by GMX for no apparent reason 6 hours ago. I sent an email to 55 people and they think this is unusual activity. I have no way to speak or write to anyone to get any information. I don't know when my email will be reinstated. Just totally unacceptable.
Locked me out and said that it was permanent and nothing I can do so I am not able to get into my accounts that I have money on and I am so frustrated
I was using this email account for my business. Suddenly I'm Blocked due to "irregular activity". I just use it to speak to customers etc. It's not my primary personal account. Doesn't get much traffic (unfortunately)... I clicked the button to send them a message, explaining that there must be some mistake. I explained what it said, next day got a message back saying:
"Dear GMX member,
We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.
Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you.
With kind regards,
GMX International Support"
WHAT?! Seriously?! No explination, no nothing, just a door slammed in my face. Now I have to edit my web site, contact customers, replace business cards...
WTH?
My account was hacked and the recovery email changed. The account is now used by hackers accessing other apps. I have been unsuccessfully trying to get customer service to respond and lock the account and help me recover access to my account. Apparently cyber security is not their priority. Please be warned, your account may not be safe and if you do get hacked, there won't be any support.
Booked multiple times on app
Knew I was a girl alone waiting for taxi
Cancelled my taxi and said I cancelled it
$#*! taxi service
GMX is just about the worst email provider I've ever had. Accounts blocked without cause, no customer service - the list goes on. Avoid GMX at all costs!
I get about 2-3 spam or phishing attempts from users with a gmx.net domain. All of them are obviously fraudulent but gmx couldn't care less. I have tried to alert them to these users literally sending these types of emails and they couldn't be bothered. I am now having to block the entire domain from our Exchange server.
Fails to look into allegations of phishing
I am receiving phishing emails from users at their service via GMX.net. I informed them through their contact form but their English-language people insist that, because it's from their German-language service, I must use a German-language "kontaktformular" instead. I'm unsure why the first people who work for GMX won't forward my complaint to any other people who work for GMX but rather demand that I do their work for them, but OK I guess I'm the victim so I have to do the legwork. Then the Germans unloaded several pages of German-language technicalities on me and eventually told me (I think? It's in German) to contact English-speaking people for help. A says, please talk to B -- B says, sprechen Sie bitte mit A. Full circle run-around. (Funny thing is, I do speak a little German.) I'm not taking any more time with this slippery organization. They deliberately encourage phishing, IMO.
Worth repeating: absolutely crappy. Good at receiving emails but horrible at sending them. Help also non-existant in setting up SMTP
I was a happy customer for 20 years gmx was my main mail account and had all my mails, infos and data in different mails in the archive. One day i just lost access to my account and no one at gmx can help me. I suspect they have deleted or lost my account and do not want to admit it.
I am to blame too of course, for puting all my eggs in one basket.
GMX is a very poor e-mail service. Stay away from it! It is used for frauds and the company does nothing to stop it.
Criminals use my e-mail adress as contact adress over and over again when they register a new GMX e-mail adress. I have several times demanded that this bad company block people for using my e-mail adress as contact adress. It easy to do but this lazy company does nothing. Don't use GMX mail if you want to stay out of trouble.
I signed up for a gmx.com account, no problems. I'm just an old guy who has never needed Email for more than communicating with family and stores. Then, I tried to sign up for a second account for my wife. Every candidate address errored out. Suspecting some kind of bizarre IP exclusion, I got a VPN from Proton. Different IP, no more problem with address selection. However, at the verification screen, I was notified the account was blocked for suspicious activity. Wrote to tech support. Simple reply from security department that account will remain blocked.
So, they assume that each user in the universe has their own Internet connection with a unique IP? That no family or business shares a single connection to the Internet? That no single person would ever want a second address? That someone who uses a VPN simply to protect their identity is a suspicious hacker?
And what happens to the majority of users who technically use dial-up cable/ISDN modems? If my house has a power outage, my IP can change when the power comes back on and reconnects to my cable company. Is a changing IP the reason why long-time users of GMX/mail.com are suddenly branded as abusive and summarily cut off?
Seems to me that we've found the lunatic fringe of businesses. They've tied themselves into such a tight paranoid knot as to entirely eliminate any usefulness of their services. Well, maybe one use. I can still use my one operational gmx.com address as a sacrificial lamb, when I need to give someone a legitimate Email for authentication purposes while knowing the result will be hundreds of Spam messages. Useful until mailbox is pitifully clogged or cutoff as a nuisance to GMX.
