SCAM

I bought 2 pairs of glasses (im still waiting for them to even post them, 10 days after i placed the order!) and my card has had 5 lots of $125 taken out of it for "steam games", somewhere i have certainly never shopped. I havent used my card anywhere out the the ordinary (and no atms or anything) in the last few months, so i am pretty sure it was this $#*!ty website. Dont bother. Youre better off paying a bit more and going elsewhere, since with this scam ive ended up paying $800 for nothing.

Absolute worst experience. Returned my Glasses Because they fell off my face. The company will not refund me. Customer service worst ever. I have been laughed at, and told everytime I call a supervisor is not avail. That someone will call me back, still waiting 3 weeks. Call and emailed multiple times, NO ONE is Helping, Basically stole my money.

In all my years of dealing with customer service, this is the worst experience that I can remember.

1. Order arrived with a huge blue stain in the center of one lens (This after two weeks of email buildups about their (5-stripe quality assurance test)).
2. Returned the glasses with a request that if I they can't be express delivered to me in 7 days that I will prefer a refund. I was told that once I put the defective glasses in the mail, the new order will start production once it is entered into the USPS tracking. Ok great I think!
3. A week later, an email arrives, saying glasses will go into production in 3 days (which will be 10 days later than I was promised over the phone, and will take another 2 weeks to ship.)
4. I call them to ask for a refund. (I can't wait another 3 weeks for glasses) I was told that because they used my money to buy another pair of glasses that I can only get store credit (I never asked them to buy another pair of glasses, just to exchange the defective pair they sent me). And frankly the first pair they sent were useless to me.
5. I ask to speak to a supervisor, I was told that the supervisor is "busy" and will call me back in 24-48 hours.

Now I am stuck. I honestly don't expect to get these glasses. So much for the 100% money back guarantee. Stick with Warby Parker.

Never Received My Glasses

I ordered glasses but i never received them. They provided me with fake Tracking number. It's a big scheme. I have been calling their customer service to resolve this issue for past two months. Each time I called them, they said they will let the company know and they will get back to me in 24 hours. I have called and emailed them over 20 times and never got an answer or hear back from the company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I had to call my bank to report them and dispute the charges.

I purchased a pair of glassses from GlassesUSA and the order arrived, but was incorrect- I think instead of a negative prescription they made it positive. In any event the glasses were unwearable. The glasses have been returned and it has now been two weeks and I have not received a credit on my glasses. I called twice this week, the first time I was told it would process this week and today I was told it could take up to 30 days-- the rep. Told me the terms were shared when they sent my RMA to return. This is a scam, they are holding my money and my CC company is filing an investigation.

From my very nonproductive email correspondence with GlassesUSA, "I notified GlassesUSA about the defect on July 8,2017. Please review the thread - 8 Jul "If not, I need to return the glasses for a replacement because they're unwearable." Nobody told me how to return them or provided me with return information. That was immediately after I got them and identified the manufacturer's defect to you. Instead, they sent me some new nosepieces that did not work at all. And I told them that -still within the 30 days. That's the second time that I asked about returning them and the delay was caused by the time it took for them to mail me the replacement nosepieces. August 2nd " If I can't fix them I need to send them back and I don't want to!" Again, nobody told me how to return them or provided me with return information. August 26th I even sent a picture and asked "If I send them back can you return them with rubber nose pieces attached?" Your response is that there are supposed to be hooks on the frame and this is a manufacturing defect.

And now you tell me "Your were outside of return period"? I've been trying to get this problem corrected within days of receiving them! This is the first time I've used your service and had originally posted a really nice comment on the glasses and the service. Please reconsider replacing these glasses - this is not a case of I wore the glasses for months and then decided there was a problem.

Their response? They will send me free frames and I can go to a professional lab to get the lenses put in. Seriously? And then when I checked minutes after receiving the email, they don't carry the lenses anymore.

I've used other online glasses providers and would recommend anyone but GlassesUSA - they are fine UNLESS there is a problem with your glasses and they have an undeniably poor quality assurance system.

I ordered 2 pair of glasses from Glasses USA when I received them they were wrong. 2 pair and 2 different results. I called and wanted to return them which they allowed me to do, however I wanted a refund and they attempted to give me a store credit. I called immediately at 10pm actually and complained and I thought it was resolved until today (nearly a month later). I got another charge from them so I called again, customer service wouldn't help, wouldn't forward me to a supervisor, wouldn't forward me to the billing department absolutely nothing. I am FURIOUS! Fraudulent company who lies, cheats and steals your money. I am contacting the credit card company to have it resolved, we will just block the payments completely.

DO NOT use this company for your prescription eyeglasses.

I paid glassesusa over $60 for simple reading glasses on the premise that they would last for several years. I also paid for the protection coating and the uv protective coating. I rarely use these glasses and they rarely have left the case. I have noticed that these glasses have acquired several scratches on the lens where they come in contact with the inner lining of the glassesusa supplied case. I have reached out to them to get them fixed/corrected. They brushed me off stating that they are out of warranty. If the glasses are almost never used and the coatings (an additional cost for each) was applied shouldn't these glasses be at least protected from the inside of the case?! I will never buy from them again. I expected that the exorbitant cost for simple 1.5 reading glasses would suffice for better service and at least a quality pair of glasses.

I read a bunch of reviews and really didn't want to buy glasses from them because there were enough bad reviews to make me wary. But I really couldn't afford glasses from any place else, and other places made me add things to my lenses I didn't want or need. So I took a chance and bought a pair of glasses for $69, and that included an additional $12 warranty in case they broke (by my own doing). I chose cheapest shipping, so I had to wait, wearing taped glasses and contacts when necessary. That was the hardest part of the whole transaction. Make sure you check your old glasses so that you enter the correct size. Make sure you type in your prescription correctly. I have to say I love my glasses. They came today. Gun metal finish. Love them! I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but mine has been great.

Buyer Beware

Do yourself a favor and steer clear from this place. They do have a great selection of frames at a good price but it is definitely not worth the price you have to pay if there has to be an adjustment made or a return/refund request. This was my first time trying it online and it will be my last. Everything was alright when I placed my order. Then, I was notified I needed to pay for an upgrade. Ok, no big deal. I called the same day I received that notice to pay for the upgrade and to see if they could work with me on the price of the upgrade since I had already paid for the standard package. Well, I called and waiting on the phone for 30 minutes! So I tried again later and finally was able to talk to someone. They worked with me on the price of the upgrade and all was well. I received my glasses in the mail on Wednesday 9/6 and I was excited as I have been needing new glasses for some time. I've been dealing with a blurry left eye. To my disappointment, I received the wrong prescription! So I immediately went to the website and filled out my return form for a refund. It's now Friday and I have yet to hear anything from these people, not even so much as an acknowledgment that they received my request and will follow up! I've been sending messages since and still no word. I've worked in customer service all my life so I feel that it's safe to say this is by far the worst service I've experienced. You would think because they deal with something medical/health related they would be more attentive. Fooled me.

The quality and service is extremely poor. It is simply a web front with lots of pretty pictures, everything is farmed out and extremely horrible and shoddy product.

I can't get anyone on the phone. I keep getting emails and updates but nothing is done. The phone lines are busy and the company is not based in the USA. It is a massive front end for garbage.

I ordered what amounted to a basic pair of reading glasses with 1.5 x prescription because of the half-price offer. It took two weeks to get them and they are not the correct lenses as ordered. The $5.00 glasses from the discount store work better. The glasses from GlassesUSA have no power and are useless as reading glasses. Unfortunately I did not check them out before the 14 days required so I can't return them either. Even at half price they were still $21

I ordered contacts from this company because I got them at a good price. It took a several weeks to receive them. It was longer than I am used to but realize companies run at different paces. However, upon receiving my contacts I realized they sent me the wrong prescription for my left eye and the lenses were unusable. I contacted them multiple times through the form on the website. Each time I received the same automated message saying they would send it to the appropriate department and would be contacted within 2 business days. No one got in touch with me so I called the company twice. The first time I was told it would be sent over to the correct department and they would contact me, they never did. The second time the lady told me to take a picture of the contact package showing that it was indeed the wrong prescription as if I was lying and email it to them. I did this and have not heard back. I have pretty much accepted that I lost my money and ordered contacts elsewhere. Just want to help someone else not make the same mistake for the sake of saving a few dollars. It has caused me great aggravation and little desire to want to do business with any company I am not familiar with.

Do NOT order contact lenses from this company. I have wasted over 10 days and I had to send them my prescription 3 times. Just received another email that they are missing my prescription. The company refuses to call and confirm my prescription with my doctor even though I gave them written and verbal permission to do so. If I did not call them, I would have no idea they were still jerking me around the the contacts are in a processing state for 10 days with no end if site. Going back to 1-800-contacts, who are capable of contacting an eye doctor and shipping contacts to you in a week. Also, the 50% off promo code never works, it is a trick to get you to waste time on the GlassesUSA website.

This company has terrible customer service! They completely botched my order after taking 3 weeks to send it out. When I finally received the glasses they were wrong. You have to wait 48 business hours for anyone that can do anything and when they do finally call you, they don't do what they say they are going to do. There are a lot of different glasses companies out there, don't use this one.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I ordered. I ordered glasses on June 6th, 2017.
I received my glasses and knew immediately that they were wrong. I promptly requested a refund. It took several emails and a phone call to get them to finally send me a return label three weeks later. I promptly returned the glasses per instructions and waited, and waited. After a few weeks, I began emailing every week. "Your refund is being processed" was all I got. Finally on Aug. 25th 2017. I called and spoke to Frank Day. He promises my refund will be realized in three business days. He says it was a misunderstanding. Can I just tell you, I've ordered several pairs of glasses from Zenni, they are in China and they have never given me a single problem? Still waiting for my refund from GlassesUSA. I think the sit on customer refunds and collect the interest. If they do it to enough people, it can add up. DO NOT use this company.

Customer Service is really bad, took two weeks of emailing them back and forth to get a return figured out. Main issue is that the people answering the emails and calls are not authorized to do anything and have to "put in a request" to fix anything. This took multiple people and days for each question. When I finally got a manager involved they issued a return for the wrong order. I reordered with EyeByDirect.com and have a much better experience without the games of "coupons" to get the price where it should be anyway.

Won't buy again

I have bought at least five pairs of glasses. And most of the time they have been okay
But this last pair I bought I could not see my up close in them I sent them back ask for refund but they insisted they could do it right the next time so that's what I did so I waited two weeks just got them back and still can't read in them. And the frame was not what I wanted they say it's just like another frame I ordered but I compared it to my other one and clearly can see they are different they have the same name. But it is not like my other frame. I give up on glasses usa not going to try calling anymore I have spent a lot of money with them. Just ordered from another company never to return to Glasses USA thank you Renee Starr

I ordered glasses and forgot to include insurance. So instead of the company adding it to my current order or charging me an extra roughly $20.00 they canceled the order but still charged me for something I didn't receive and have been waiting fifteen days for when I should have only waited at most 10 days. The technicians who are suppose to get back to you don't and no managers get back to you when they say they will! Be mindful when ordering from them and make sure you always double and triple check when you order a product to make sure they are right before submitting because even when it's canceled you are still being charged for it.
