I ordered a pair a month ago and they were great but i returned so i could order a pair with AR coating. The returns are free but it has been like pulling teeth to get confirmation that i will get a full refund. Then the problem with re ordering. When i re ordered the same pair with the ar coating on lenses they charged me immediately and then radio silence, a few weeks go by and after i called and messaged customer service about an order update they take another day or two to tell me that something went wrong in production and they are fixing the lenses. Two more days later and they say " there was a glitch in the system" and they never even had the glasses in stock. Just dont bother, go to warby parker
Never asked for info! Yet, I get spam ads about these people. WE ALL HATE SPAM! And those companies that pay spammers to send junk to thousands of people. I am sick of it...
Placed my order May 4th, received order May 16th, unfortunately it was someone else order. Called, received return label, and sent right back. Called today May 21st, to see if my original order was on its way, was unfortunately told they won't ship out until they receive the original (wrong) order back. So i have to wait even longer, even though it was their error, and not mine. Yes the price is amazing, but not really worth the time and headache. I would not recommend if your looking for quick, and efficient.
Originally ordered on April 28th. Was told to upgrade my lenses on May 3rd then told on May 4th that my frames were out of stock. Requested an immediate refund on May 5th. Emailed on May 9th asking when will I receive my refund, it is now May 17. I am extremely fed up with the lack of customer service. Person I spoke to on the phone said it would take 5 business days to receive my refund. Such a bull$#*! company. Ordered from EyeBuyDirect and within a week (ordering & processing time)received my glasses. Don't understand how GlassesUSA.com can't refund my money within a click of a button considering the GLASSES WERE NEVER MADE. Buyers beware!
Ordered three pair of glasses on April 17,2017. The order was mishandled and am still without the product I paid for. Their 'VISION CARE SPECIALISTS' were disinterested and without empathy or information on where my order is in their anemic pipeline. My suggestion to anyone of interest is you try any other online eyewear business out there. I know I will. Definitely will not be repeating business with GlassesUSA.
Very worse company. Paid for policy to replace damaged glasses- company took money for " shipment " additional $30- then never processed order as they now require the original damaged glasses to be shipped using tracking carrier and must be inspected before they agree to process replacements already paid for.
Complete scam.
Not a USA based company. Chinese and others fleecing their unsuspecting customers.
In alignment with many of the other comments you'll read on this page, GlassesUSA is a very untrustworthy organization - resulting in a very awful customer experience. While I did not have any problems with the order/shipment and the product, requesting a refund (via a return) is not possible. I'm quite pleased with the glasses for the price, but wanted to exchange due to some specs that weren't working for my eyes. I contacted the company multiple times over the course of 1 month - and they constantly fed me misinformation and told me they'd "forward my request to the right department" every time. After realizing that no refund would come, I had to open a dispute/charge-back via my credit card company. The CC company investigated over 1 month and landed in my favor. It took 3 months to receive the refund that I deserved. I won't ever purchase from GlassesUSA again.
Do not use this company. They mislead on production and shipping times, They DO NOT keep you informed every step of the way. Their links to status/tracking don't work. You can't get the same answer twice from customer service. Charge for express shipping is useless - they hold orders to accumulate quantities then ship to a shipper. Was told products made in USA the told parts cone from outside USA and they get delayed. What a scam. Will be reporting to TV networks they advertise on
I will NEVER order another pair of glasses from this company. Had the glasses a month, wore them twice, a hinge broke and they refused to repair.
Ordered 3 pair/ 2 orders. Never received. Called. Sometimes a 15 minute wait. Nixes assurances. Result is an email from delivery area with a tracking link but the link died t work. Then they want me to go to post office to make a claim! I get 7-8 deliveries weekly w no problems. Just called credit card company for credits. Stay away- these are professional crooks that have perfected a way to make u think they will address the problem!
I placed an order for single Vision that their website says would take three days to produce after waiting 10 business days I called to see why I haven't received glasses they tell me that one of the Coatings I added to the order doubles production time from 3 to 6 business days they never informed me of this throughout the entire process when I asked why it's been 10 business days and they still haven't made my glasses they respond they have no idea when I asked when I will receive the glasses I paid for 10 business days ago they said they have no idea customer service is rude and incompetent I'm beginning to think this is a complete scam after reading other reviews it becomes obvious I can't get a refund and I may never see the product do not buy from them
Scam company. Forget about it if you have to return something. They are downright liars and cheats. I have never written a bad review for any company but these people are horrible. Wanted a refund and they issued me a credit. Called them again and they said they would have to get my telephone records and listen to the conversation recorded. OMG. Are you kidding me? BTS they did not call back yet.
My husband returned his glasses for bi-focal because the progressives didn't work for him. He's been waiting 2 months for the new glasses. Every time I call they put me on hold for far too long. They have now confused his order with my order and keep telling me his were delivered last Thursday. No, MY glasses were delivered last Thursday but not only weren't they HIS glasses that you're telling me were delivered, they also weren't MY glasses because it's the wrong frame. So now they tell me that they'll send me a Return Label "in a few days". What? And then when they get them they'll look at them and decide if they'll make an exchange. What? You sent me the WRONG FRAME! I'm looking at the name on the arm of the glasses! Live and learn. Never again!
Ordered glasses and paid extra for express shipping on March 31. Called twice for status update and was told would receive by April 13. April 17 and still no glasses they say still in production. Cancelled a contact order on April 7 and was told I would get my refund in a week. Called today (April 17) and customer service said I would have to wait a couple more weeks for my refund. Will not order from this company again, I have no trust in them or their word.
Customer service says they "take care of it", but still no refund after 5 weeks! Glasses were made in incorrect prescription, were super heavy plastic and slid off my face. Worth the price to stick with my usual Lensecrafters!
I ordered some progressive glasses for my fiance and they just can't get it right. I sent it back the first time because he said the transition between the progressives was not smooth. It made him dizzy. I sent them back and they returned them and nothing had changed. So I asked for my money back so that we could go to a brick and mortar store so his eyes could be measured and they said they had a policy that after 14 day there couldn't be a refund. But if you screw up the glasses you should refund the money. If you cant get it right in two tries I doubt a store credit will help me. Needless to say do not use these people for progressives. Simple prescriptions maybe ok even though my glasses came scratched but I thought it wasn't a practice of incompetence but these new glasses are just too hard for them.
Their products are good, but when there's issues, both returns and communications are EXTREMELY complicated and take many days and often weeks for them to reply.
I bought two glasses, same frame, different color. One for reading and one for computer 27" distance. The prescription lenses worked well, but the frames ended up both the same color on the same frame. One should have been blue and the other purple. Hard to tell the reading vs computer glasses on without putting them on my face and looking through them when they both were delivered to me in blue, not in blue and then purple, as ordered.
So, I return the computer glasses and ask them to put these lenses into the correct purple frame. It took weeks for them to reply and ask what frame do you want? I replied, same as what was on my emails and filled out return form -- just the purple frame of this style so I can tell the difference between this and the other pair.
Weeks later I get an email to ask me again what frame because there's a mistake and they don't have the purple from the website. I suggested they return the glasses that I sent to you because they work, they just look exactly like my other pair.
In a couple more weeks, they send another email that they are "making my glasses," and then another when they were almost done, being checked over, etc. Weird - we discussed they would just send back what I sent to them. So, I waited and waited. Finally got received them in the mail. They are the same blue frame as expected, but the Rx is now changed to the 'reading' (close up) version, not the computer glasses for about mid-distance or approx 27" away.
I call them up and explain it about 4-5 times; the guy finally gets it; I eventually got an email from the returns dept, and they say, "you can't return these because it's beyond the 14-day return period; see our returns policy."
Oh boy - I'm so disappointed! That about $100 extra I paid for a pair that is the exact same pair that I already have (frame, color and Rx). Ugh! Not worth fighting it; I think I have a 0% chance of getting anything rectified anyway.
On a good note, I bought another pair of my progressive glasses in a different frame so that I'll have a back-up progressive pair, and they work fine and such. I just don't use them because I like the look of my other progressive pair that I already had. These were about a $250 pair of back-ups, just in case something happens with my much more expensive and beautiful pair that I got from my optometrist and wear everyday.
So, I have to remind myself, "if it looks too good to be true, it likely is." All three pairs are useable, just not what I had in mind. Buyer beware.
Received glasses and after a few days, one of the lenses popped out. I called (within their narrow 14 day return period) to return for repair and was told that this happens from time to time and pop them back in and it will be fine. The problem persisted and when I called back to get a RMA, I was told I was outside of the return period and could not return them for repair or replacement. Repeated calls and e-mails with Glasses USA did not resolve the situation.
This company does not stand by the quality of their product and workmanship.
Bought a pair of glasses from them, and they broke the first day, they were complete garbage. On top of that the script was off, I could barely see out of them. I used the same script as my current glasses, and all info was right. This seems to be a common issue with this company. Not going to bother returning them for their store credit, I obviously don't want glasses from them. Lesson learned, and money down the drain. Don't make the mistake I did, there are places you can get glasses as cheap, and better quality.
It takes so long to get glasses, I had to buy my daughter a pair locally while I was waiting for the order. After the warranty period I asked for one tiny screw to repair her glasses (as the screw isn't the standard size you get in an eyeglass repair kit) and they refused. The glasses she finally did receive we're fine and as expected.

Answer: I ordered a pair on 3rd Nov and was still waiting on 20 Nov. I canceled them On the 21st. A rep called and convinced me to give them a second chance...big mistake. I gave them a second shot and resubmitted the order on the 21st. The rep assured me that the glasses would be shipped in 6 days. Taking into account Thanksgiving the glasses should have be shipped on the 30th but they were still in production and, again no real customer service. I canceled and drove to America's Best. In 15 minutes I ordered glasses and they were $30.00 less than glassesusa. I don't recommend that company.
