Almost no restaurant will take the egift cards. Most stores will not accept the cards at the value customer purchased. Dormancy fees are charged without warning. IF you can do a purchase with part of the card amount, the supposed remaining balance can never be used. Customer service does not permit phone calls, the email responses are not from a person, and any response is just asking you for copies of receipts and personal information. They do not address that the company is charging customers and not honoring the gift cards. Suggest to anyone that they purchase a physical gift card for gifts.

Why do I have to give you my personal information like email and phone number to sale just to redeem a gift card? Why do I have to write down my gift card numbers on a receipt that someone can steal and use the remaining balance? Some things a better left untouched like the original idea of getting an actual CARD for your GIFT CARD. Congratulations, you guys have officially over complicated the darn gift card idea. Never again will I purchase one of your poop cards.
I attempted to use my card 24 hours after activation and was not able to use it. I called customer service and was told because my balance was $50, my transaction had to be $40 when using for a restaurant. So I decided to use it on amazon because, well amazon takes most payment methods. CARD DECLINED and now customer service cant find my card information when I call in using my card information. This was a bonus for doing a good job at work and now I can't benefit from winning the competition I was in. I'm so disappointed
If I could rate it lower than one star I would. They don't deserve it. Never got the card I ordered. Customer services was a total joke. I needed the card badly for a special birthday. Now I don't have it. Never again. Please heed this warning. They are awful! Worse than awful and should not be in business!

Terrible! Purchased my Feeding America restaurant card from Target. It has a balance but i cannot use it. Tried to email 5 times but never get the answer of how to use it. Cannot talk to a person. This is so embarrassing since it was a father's day present.
I just can't see how a gift card needs to lose almost 20 of the 25 dollars because it's NOT being used, some gift!
I've been trying several times to order 4 gift cards but my order keeps on being cancelled. (I'm using a card that is working and all information is correct). I called up giftcard.com directly but they can't help. I guess I'll just have to skip and I'm not planning on purchasing from them anytime soon or to refer them to friends and family.
I tried to purchase a flat iron on-line from Ulta using my gift card--Ulta would not accept the gift card (they said I had to shop in person to use this card) so I had to cancel the order, yet the "transaction" was posted to my card. I tried several times to call them but could never speak to a representative so I emailed them hoping to get some assistance but they considered my email as a "feedback". Still have not heard back from them so as of now I basically lost over $123 of my balance.
Placed an online order only to have the company call you and verify all the info. They call it risk assessment, How stupid is that? Anyone calling me on the phone to verify my online business is a bigger risk than the online order! Some idiot named Jamie needs to go back to serving Slurpee's at 7-Eleven.

This WAS NOT a "store" card! And both the website and number on the card are for "giftcards.com"! The store I bought it from has NOTHING to do with servicing the cards!
To be brief, bought card, already made 1 purchase with it online, yet when I go to their website to check the balance it tells me "We cannot find a card to match the information you provided"...
WHAT THE F***ING HELL?!?!?!?
As I said, I've already made a purchase with it, and I've checked the info 3 times to make sure I entered it right (which I did), so HOW can it not be a valid card?!?!?!?
Should've got a vanillavisa card instead of one from these scumbags!

The gift cards have the security codes visible so the money is gone by the time it is received - and this place should be reported to the attorney general and post office for performing a scam using the mail (my cards were delivered in the mail)
Their customer service team is obnoxious and condescending. They blocked the purchase then called me to ask the purpose of my purchase. What? I'm buying a gift card for a gift, why else would I buy a gift card? Now I have to wait to see if they "approve" my purchase.
This company has by far some of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICES I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I tried not once, not twice, but 3 times to submitt 2 seperate orders. Once everything finally went through I then receive an email stated for an unknown reaso my order can't be placed. I tried contacting customer service, the chat even went so far as to reach out to the corporate office and still I didn't receive any assistance. So I continued calling finally I reached a rep named Raphael who was a human but spoke like a robot and was NO help at all. This company pretty mucg sales you a pipe dream when it comes to what they deliver. I checked and rechecked ALL of my information and EVERYTHING was CORRECT and the funds were available. It's FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING AND A HUGE WASTE OF TIME.
Total waste of time. Website reloaded when making a customized card several times. Finally got through the process and they charge a fee for the card, and $30 to ship USPS Express (which is 1-2 day service) but claim it takes 4-6 business days. Then they said you have to pay $5 and have somebody sign if the billing address is different from shipping. That's annoying for a gift. So I chose to mail it to myself instead of the recipient and 1 hour after I revived an order confirmation, they canceled. Joke company. Cash will work instead.
One 'helluva business model you've got, guys. Two times, seperated by months, I attempted to put together a gift card for someone, and BOTH TIMES I was told 'Your order was not approved by our security screening process, as a result, your order will not be shipped.'
I entered everything 100% correctly. This is on your side.

We have an employee with a giftcard that has a Good Thru date of 12/31/2021. The web site states the following under FAQ's that cards don't expire and replacements are no fee. Just called customer service who informed me the card has expired and they will review but IF they do decide to send me a replacement card the fee is $14.95. Never ever again!
"Funds on Giftcards.com Visa and Mastercard Gift Cards do not expire. The expiration date listed on the front of the card (along with the CVN on the back of the card) is there to allow these cards to be processed by merchants as debit or credit cards. If funds remain on the card after the "Good Thru" date listed on the front of the card, call Customer Service to obtain a no-fee replacement card. However, gift cards that are inactive for more than 12 consecutive months will be charged a $4.95 per month service fee."
UPDATED. Be aware that GiftCards.com does charge dormancy fees even before the expiration date if the card is not used. I was not aware of this and my card's entire balance was consumed because of these fees. However, they kindly reversed them and restored the card's full value.
I have never seen a site so eligible to buy gift cards or egift cards just for writing a simple positive review
Answer: This happened to me also. My credit card company said they would do a fraud investigation.
