New booking site for me

New booking site for me - I've used them all because I travel a lot. Getaroom is easy and best of all, it was the only booking site that had the rooms I wanted. It was a last resort for me the first time; going forward it will be my first choice.

Issue resolved
August 1, 2021

We booked a room for travel lodge, unwittingly through get a room, and found the added price too much. We then phoned round 3 different companies and found we couldn't cancel, with the blame passed around. However, after posting a negative review here, get a room got back to us and we've been told the booking is cancelled and are awaiting a full refund. All this within 48 hours.

Absolute Fraud

Very similar to reviews here and on the BBBs website, this company spoofs addresses from google searches to look like the actual hotels website, they then charge a large fee in top of what you agree to and then of course says your room
is non refundable. After having to call the reservations line to even get a person on the line, they kept me on the line to only disconnect me 44 minutes later with the only offer of 10% which equaled $47 when they charged 164.94 additional above what I agreed to for the room rate. When I called the hotel confused trying to see why I was charged the extra fee, they explained that I was booked thru Priceline. Turns out this organization writes script to ride the coat tail of reputable booking engines relationships with hotel chains. Complete scam.

I tried to book the day before and was unable to do so. It kept circling payment processing. I was afraid to rebook cause they may double charge my card. But I rebooked the next morning getting an even cheaper rate.

I. Phoned and talked with your rep and the system was terrible. He was hard to understand with the foreign accent and the background noise of someone else talking to make reservations. I could hear names, credit card numbers and other things. He asked who was going to be in each room and my mailing address. He also switched as motel representative without me understanding. I did not know did both. I also had problem improving since we looked at the web site for pricing expecting bereament rate but wought up using military discount.

Most affordable room
June 28, 2021

Get a Room was the best deal out of all of the sites. I booked last minute at a casino that other sites had already said it was booked up. I was hesitant to book at first because I hadn't used them before, but it was a quick process and we enjoyed our stay.
