I booked a room at 10:30pm and prepaid for it.
At midnight, I checked in the hotel and was told that nothing had been reserved.
At 1:45am, Get a Room wrote to me to say the room was waiting for me.
Obviously I had made other arrangements by then, and asked for reimbursement, which they refused to give me.
Very helpful and treated me fairly when I had an unexpected emergency come up. The person I spoke wth was very caring.
Original hotel was overbooked, getaroom found me a better hotel, right where I needed to be and kept at same price for me. All my friends were jealous. Expectations exceeded.

Booked a room for a business trip, decent rate, MAXED TAXES so be aware of that and they do not do refunds at all. Ended up being able to shave a day off the trip and still am out the last night of the hotel which is ridiculous. When I booked the room I had no intention of checking out early and I find it kinda dumb that basically "if anything in your plan changes at all we still take your money" is simply bad business. I even called customer service to throw myself at the mercy of the court and I was basically told GFY the policy is we got your money and we are done with you. The lady was very polite because she was being recorded but basically told me there was nothing she could do because when I booked it said no refund for cancelation or early checkout. That doesn't seem reasonable to me and I find that level of customer service stupid especially if you are trying to stay competitive. So "getaroom.com" lost a customer over 130 bucks... stay away from these guys.
BEWARE of this company... They trick you into logging into their website by disguising their company name... We booked a room for three weeks from now and they ran the credit card within an hour of making the reservation... They also added a load of supposed tax onto The bill... $112 tax for two nights stay and never explained what it was for... Then l tried to cancel everything and it was too late... I called their customer service number and got the run around... Never click on to a website that says "AD" in front of the site name... Make sure you call the hotel directly...
I've booked family apartments with two separeted rooms for 4 persons. But we've got just small double room with two add beds. When I asked getaroom to help me with this problem, they even didn't answer to me. Please, save your nerves, money and rest and don't book anything at getaroom.com
TOTAL SCAM! Wrong dates went into after confirmed and refused to refund my money! Would not do anything to help or refund! Unbelievable, gave one star only because I had to in order to review.
Had to wait about 3 hours for my room to be ready, because getaroom never made the reservation to double tree at albuquerque. I will call customer support.
The Hotel was great beautiful right on the water. The rooms were spacious with balconies overlooking the river. The only complaint was when I called to confirm my reservation at the hotel they did not show the rooms in their system so I spent an hour on the phone between customer service at GetARoom and the hotel. It all worked out and my stay was great.
I was happy to see a full kitchen in the room and I used it to make dinner one night. The room met our needs, the style was a little older but it didn't bother me.
I mean look at all the negative reviews here! The reviews are all spot on. How does this company continue to operate? The company is a fraud. You're better off tossing your money in a fire. They don't offer any service for the best price. You can go right to the source and get the exact SAME pricing.
EDIT: I did a Google search for the hotel I wanted to stay at and GetARoom (aka Guest Services) AD was the top hit, that's where I made my mistake. Don't fall for the same. Ignore the Google AD, look a little further to make sure you're dealing with the correct company.
This is a fraud company. They bill you but without any booking and without any hotel room. They billed my Australian account and I didn't book anything. I don't use that card to book hotels.
Stay away they are frauds
Easy to book online. Gave a me a call to let me know their renovating some if the hotel, so some areas were off limits
I was very happy with the process of booking a room for my trip to Cabo San Lucas through getaroom.com!
I got scammed into booking through getaroom.com when I booked a hotel through trip advisor. I booked a non refundable room, they sent a confirmation for the wrong dates and when I noticed this I contacted the, literally seconds after the booking went through to tell them the dates were wrong. THeybrefused tomrefund my money even though the status of the booking was still open... and not I'm out $100. NEVER AGAIN.and don't use Trip Sdviser since they are partners. I thought I was using trip advisor to make the booking, but it gets redirected to GetaRoom, and then scamming. The customer service agent refused to help me get my refund and rebook it with the correct dates. HE just said I had to write to their "other department" to resolve it, somI wrote immediately and NEVER GOT A RESPONSE a REFUND or even a chance to book the room with the correct dates.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
