No modifications option, just by phone, why? It shouldn't have this option too rather than cancel. Otherwise prices where very low!

We refused to stay in the room because it was littered with peanuts, cat food and soy sauce packets. We refused to stay at the hotel as they couldn't accommodate us with a hygienic room.
The web page I thought was spring hill had a number that routed me to get a room. When I tried to get my rewards points she said she couldn't do that. I should have known then. I asked for my company discount and was told there wasn't one but when I arrived the hotel said I should have received one. Won't be back.
We had planned to make it all the way to Las Cruces, NM but due to health issues didn't make it past Tucson, AZ. GetARoom was very helpful in getting our money back for us. I would highly recommend them
I am impressed by the professional service, one of the team at Get a room website contacted me before 3 days of my arrival to the hotel to solve a prospected issue; usually, the customer would be the one contacting the customer service complaining asking for a solution
This site is good at one thing- taking your money! Unfortunately I, like so many other people rating here, fell for the tricks before reading the countless reviews warning people about these thieves! I find it hard to believe reputable hotels will honor reservations from scumbags like these, as they throw up their hands and say, your receipt will come from the website, we have nothing to do with it. I demanded an itemized receipt from getaroom to no avail
Thought I was booking directly with hotel, guy on phone during initial reservation booking was very pleasant, even joking, totally implied that he was rep of hotel. Tthey charge me 216.00 for room PLUS a $14.99 "reservation fee", then get to hotel and hotel charges me $166 total (apparently, they did not have my getaroom.com reservation) Trying to dispute the double charge now. Their customer service department was vague and told me to "wait 2 days for email" that will investigate. Definitely do NOT use this website, call the hotel directly..
I travel 2-4 days a week and use a variety of sites to book my travel. I have never been so upset and disappointed in a site until GetARoom. PLEASE stay away from this site. They added a huge fee after i hit the confirm button. I called the 800 number to gain assistance and to cancel the room. Within 5 minutes I was speaking to a live customer service person and they would NOT help me nor cancel my reservation. I was shocked and felt a need to let people know. Don't be tricked by the low initial rate. They will get you after it's too late to make changes.

Somehow a reservation confirmation was sent to my email address clearly in error. I had not used the service, I never booked the room in question. Ihad no interest in going to a hotel in Las Vegas at anytime. But the worst part was trying to fix the problem. After much effort I got to a phone tree which ended by advising me contact the hotel directly.
I thought the room was $66/night. It was more like $88/night.
Floors/rugs were filthy, not just dirty. Floor boards very dusty. Light next to the bed did not work. Worst of all the door locked us INTO the room. We had a hard time every time we had to LEAVE the room. One of the other latches was broken ( the ones to prevent intruders from entering from the outside) It was quiet. Breakfast was fine but the set-up was crowded and confusing. Lots of deferred maintenance here. I think either they are having problems getting good help here OR whoever is doing the hiring is not doing a good job of hiring people who care or have pride in what they are doing. Desk help below average.
I signed onto trip advisor. Picked a hotel, booked, it was done! But not all fees were listed: Fee for extra person who was the second person of a couple, plus airport transport fees were not listed till after booked. Would have prefered to know before. Rented a car because it was less and no parking fees. Room rate still good with extra person charge.
I wish the website informed us or warned us about resort fees. We are from out of state and we're not familiar with resort fees, we only knew about deposits.
Booked a hotel on Kauai and had to change reservations a few times. They were very good at helping us and patient... would for sure use them again. Best rates I could find..
Representative very helpful. LGgerting a new reservation was quick and easy but she put me on a very long hold as she cancelled the previous reservation
Great experience as long as you don't need to do any changes or speak to customer services. They do not say the same message and won't let you speak to a supervisor
It was easy, that is what I wanted. It seemed kinda sketchy, really wished that my hotel confirmation from the actual hotel would be provided, but I'll live.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
