I book hotel in Indonesia at 28 Dec 2018 and they email me reservation confirmation with the wrong hotel in Rusia.
The customer service just reply my email with 'non refundable cancellation policies and they can not refund'
Finally at 30 Dec 2018 they email me that the refund has been processed and it will take 3-5 business days to post back to my account. Today I check in my account and I get the refund.
Thanks for the cooperation getaroom
Its was okay. I like dealing directly with a motel/ because if you make a change it gets all crazy! I lhad to cancel and then start all over. Too much trouble!
I was trying to contact hotel directly but ended up with a third party. No issues but I prefer the hotel directly.
My reservations says Free Cancellation in red. I called Dec 21 to cancel a reservation for Dec 24, due to family emergency. They said I was too late, had to cancel Dec 19. So they are charging me the full $206. I will be working with Hilton Honors to make a complaint and suggest they stop working with this scam operation. Get a Room didn't even bother to tell the Hilton hotel I wasn't coming, so all they care about is getting their money, not letting the hotel know the room will be empty. I will also be filing a dispute with my credit card company.
Guarantee is bogus. When I looked th the hotel up online I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, winds up a third party. My brother booked online and got his room $30 cheaper. I went and provided proof if I got the same room that I booked with this bogus site and compared if I did it online there was a price difference of $25+. I was told in my dispute n the guarantee since I found a price direct with hotel that was better they wouldn't honor it. All along, I thought I was dealing direct with hotel in first place, not a third party. I will never make this mistake again... rip off!
SCAM! They gave a good price of $63 for a room. After I gave my credit card info, i found they had tacked on a $72 fee. They refused to refund when I called immediately. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Thought I was booking my hotel directly online and it happened to be this company. Booked the wrong hotel in the wrong state. Did not transfer reservation, did not assigned reservation to the hotel, did NOT refund. DON'T EVER book with them.
UPDATE: Upon writing this review I was promptly contacted by GETAROOM and issued a full refund. WOW! I trust that this is an indication that the company is revising their customer service processes and seeking to improve their service.
My husband and I literally just came back from Cabo this week. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort all inclusive which was 'ok' but we were trying to save money. We only stayed for 2 nights. So in that case you get what you pay for. We're going back for a wedding in Feb. And found the Absolutely Gorgeous resort Playa Grande for 2 extra nights (4) for only $40 more using getaroom! I work for a Major Airline and even my employee discount couldn't compete! Getaroom will always be my go to when looking for a great easy-to-use deal!
Tried very hard to accommodate. Was pleasant and friendly. Seems to know what she was doing. Very satisfied
Ebony was very polite and true to her words. She booked 2 rooms for us, explained so clearly and was very friendly - an all round excellent employee.
Nothing to say more than thank you for support and follow up for request in good time and manner. Thanks
I had to amend a reservation date. I have been provided with a very efficient and friendly service. Thanks.
I did not see anything about the additional fees and taxes when I reserved a room. The price listed should be the price paid. Then because of that high fee I called the line to cancel and I was hung up on as I started to give the reservation number. The next three calls were also mishandled. When I tried a different number that connected me to the reservation office the call was fine and after talking to them I was then connected back to the cancellation center that call went fine, but I had to wade through questions and sales pitches which I should have had to if they would have just listened to the fact that I already accepted the reduced offer with the previous call. It was just a long frustrating process that could have been fixed. I will likely never try to reserve a room online again.
While booking a room directly on the Hilton site, I was redirect to an identical looking site with identical prices. I didn't notice the hijack and entered my card information and confirmed. When I got the receipt, there was a surcharge of $101. Yes the site refunded my money after I contacted the credit card company but a few days later I had to cancel my card because of a fraudulent charge to another site. Did they steal my card information? You decide. And watch out for the hijack and the surcharge. Don't do it.
It's been 24 hours since making a booking and we still do not have an email confirmation that our reservation is good to go. They were very quick to charge our credit card, however.
Very hard to understand the person because of all the background noise caused by other conversations going on at the same time.
THEY ARE A HUGE SCAM! THEY RIP YOU OFF! NEVER AGAIN! Do not book with them, I made a mistake just searching the name of the hotel and the place just pop up but after I completed the booking process, I realized that i booked it to getaroom. They charged me a lot of money for using their website!
I booked a room with this company for a stay 3 days later. I called back within 10 minutes to cancel the room which I was told I could cancel until 10am the morning of the stay, and tey charged me the entire amount as a cancellation fee. And charged me $50.00 more than the room cost! DO NOT call them they will rip you off. NEVER USE THEM
I used this company to book a reservation for two nights with Pinnacle Hotel in
Vancouver, BC, Canada. I was unaware that the site is not based in Canada and thought
I was booking directly with the hotel.
When I booked the reservation, the young man (who was very difficult to understand) offered me a 25% deal - one room for one night at $144. He stated that in order to get
The deal, he would need to book each night separately. During the reservation process I clarified that he was offering $144 CAD per night for the room and he agreed.
I then checked my email, only to find a charge of $165.32 USD per reservation per night. This is nothing short of fraud. I tried to cancel one of the reservations and Getaroom then cancelled the room but charged $165.32 as a cancellation fee.
I called the agency twice and was told the manager was at lunch, then not available. I asked for a supervisor and was told there is no supervisor. The company issued two "untitled tickets" so that I could state my complaints. I completed them and have received no response.
I tried to reverse the charges on my credit card, but Getaroom wasted no time in charging my credit card. I am now out $436.06 CAD for one night as the other reservation has been cancelled.
If I could give no stars, the rating would be more accurate. This company should be shut down.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.
Answer: Call 800-468-3578 but good luck. They are scammers
Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
