When I ordered flowers for my long-distance significant other, the website lead me to freeshipping.com for a refund of the shipping cost. It was advertised as "free shipping for first-time users." I happily signed up! Unknowingly, I was charged $15 for the membership (which was the refunded shipping cost). I then received another bill from the company and was furious. Turns out, it's a small print scam! They will just keep charging you. Don't waste money or time with ANY company associated with freeshipping.com and don't trust this "business" at all!
First of all, I cancelled my subscription because I'm not savvy enough to know how to use it. The reviews seem to be one star given by people who don't know how to use it (like me) to those who are in the know and give it five stars. It's a good idea but not for me. I use Amazon Prime because it's easy.

I saw an offwer for a electric bike for 99.99 -- so I stupidly bought it through PayPal. Backed up by my AMEX card. No info from the seller --
5, Guangdong ******* CN! After a few weeks of no contact - I DID recieve a tracking number and a few days later got a small padded envelope in the mail with a little plastic suction cup in it -- It had the same tracking number that my bike was supposed to have! PayPal said to return the item and give them the new Tracking number by a certain date -- but the return address they gave me was the one above! So I asked for and address in ENGLISH! -- I sent it back to the return address on the package San Leandro CA -- Then I get an email from PayPal saying my claim was denied for not providing them with a tracking number which the document in my claim history (it was Delivered Sept 3rd)
Don't go near FreeeShipping.com! Or PayPal for that matter. Now trying to resolve with AMEX

Don't just read the title Spread the word about these scammers, and to all who works for this company you should be ashamed for helping THE THIEVES WHO OWNS THIS WEBSITE.
They do not pay out on your purchases. I made 3 purchases following their guidelines and wasn't paid 1 cent in cash back!
Hi,
Please reach out to me directly at [email protected]. I will be happy to look into the cash back.
Thanks!

Folks, this is not something you want to sign up for if you just want a one time rebate on shipping. For those that feel scammed by this site are truly unrealistic. But if you know how to use it, you do indeed get money for nothing. I have been a member for years, back to the days when you had to mail in your rebates. Now that I can email them, it is so easy. I do a lot of online shopping and this program pays off handsomely. The introduction of 10% back had tripled my monthly checks. I pay just under $100 for the fee and get back about $500, which to me is indeed free money. So when I use my Kohls or Macys coupons to order stuff, I get even an additional 10% back in cash from free shipping. Sometimes I even put stuff back on the rack at the store and go home and buy online for the additional 10%. I'm sticking around, freesipping.com has done right by me. NO complaints from me.
I also didn't realize I signed up for free shipping. I was ordering from Kohl's last Christmas, & when it said to put in shipping into, I did. It must have switched over to free shipping site for me to put in shipping info. I didn't even realize it switched websites. I didn't realize for several months that they were auto deducting money monthly from my account. Sorry, but that is fraudulent! I've never even set up an account with the site, but have paid them a lot of money!
I never signed up for this service which I have just realized has been charging my account a monthly charge of $12.97. The charge to my account has been using a different last 4 digits none of which are mine. The charge is not leaving me with any way to contact them as most reputable do as in a toll free number. If I don't hear anything from them I will being going to my bank account and filing a non-authorized charge and dispute it.
You guys are poor people. What the hell you are doing. I saw your ad on kohl's website for $10 cach back and you started asking for my Credit card details and at the end you are asking to send the bill etc to get that money, also instead of giving $10 to me you charged $2 to my card. I have reported your fraud.
I feel sorry for anyone that is having a hard time with FREE SHIPPING, as for myself it's being great and, I will continue to use them for as long as stay in business.
So far I've gotten at least $1,000.00 it pays for itself if it's used correctly.

Absolute scam company. They 'claimed' I filled out a rebate when I made an online purchase. Jerk online said I entered my information for the rebate, as well as the shipping. I assure you, the only information I entered was one time, for my shipping address. He continued to try and TELL me what I did. I told him I'd be complaining to Fanatics, which is one of the many companies he linked it to. He then told me that the "customer service people wouldn't know about it because it's an agreement with the president of the company". Seriously you piece of scum trash? There's gotta be a way to SHUT this down

I called twice both time I spoke to a clueless employee and both time was hung up on when asked to speak to a manager. I lost $800 in the process. If someone wants to take it as a class action and need one plaintiff contact me please.
Be careful, if you make a large purchase they will flag your account as commercial and refuse to give you the money even if you did not violate the terms. Crooks!
THEY ARE NOT TRANSPARENT. NOWHERE did it say they will charge $2 for the trail and NOWHERE did it say, you have to wait for next month to get the rebate i. E. after you pay for 1 month of using it. Essentially a click-bait and probably a rip-off.
Hi Ghanshyam,
I apologize for any confusion regarding the trial fee. This is included in the registration form when you join Freeshipping.com
Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and I will be happy to assist you with that refund.

They are entirely transparent about the process. It's not only spelled out in numerous places on the site, on every single store page, but they also have a video you can watch that takes you through the process. It's not a ripoff when someone fails to follow the rules they agreed to when signing up. I almost didn't try them out based on these reviews which is why I now feel compelled to comment. I thought the process might be difficult based on all these complaints, but it's a breeze! Perhaps some people are not computer savvy enough to know they need to be able to track you to verify the shopping info, thus you need to start at their site each time, etc. If you don't do that, the store won't send them the cash back for referring you to the store. But, regardless, the steps are spelled out very clearly. I just got over $100 total back for my first month, from using the stores I normally shop with and some I don't. The only difference is that when I am ready to place the order, I go to their website, find the store page I want and click the link. I then check out in the browser window that opens, easy peasy. If I have shipping charges, I go to the rebate section and enter the info requested and send in an email with the order confirmation. They will reimburse you up to $10 max shipping per order, even on sites that don't offer cash back. After reading so many of the poor reviews here, I noticed the vast majority simply didn't follow protocol and yet the company rep is on here replying to every complaint, offering to rectify the situation. A shady business wouldn't bother and I've been impressed with their effort. BTW, I also used the free site Ebates.com for the first time this past month and they had offers from stores not available through freeshipping.com. The process was the same, but the amount cash back is mostly less.

You have to pay $12.97 to get 10% cash back? They had the "7 day free trial" and allegedly sent me an email confirmation after the 7th day to ensure I agreed to the membership fees after the trial period which I never received. They automatically deducted the fees and no subsequent emails were sent to confirm that they are taking money from my account... without my knowledge nor consent! No courtesy email from them informing me that they would be deducting money from my account nor do they send any 'thank you' email confirming that they have taken money form your account. That to me is dishonest business ethics...
Called them to cancel the account and the customer service was kind enough through his condescending tone, refund the charges. I remarked that this probably happens a lot to which he says condescendingly "not that I know of".

Guys, i don't know why people are saying it as a SCAM. They are very transparent with their policies and cash back & other savings. They have the limitations for a year. I have been using this for more than 7 months. This is genuine and i got more than what i paid them for. Please do not write false reviews which will stop other people from using it and they may lose their cashbacks. Few retailers like Kohls are constant with 20% cashback and Macys & others sometimes at 20% cash backs. You could have 10% cashbacks on the purchases, price match protection, shipping rebates capped to $10. They are genuine and i would recommend to all.

I have tried freeshipping.com I can confirm this site is a totally scam.
Firstly when you open an account and provide them with your credit card number, they will $1.97 for a 7-day trial then they will automatically charge $12.97 a month.
The problem comes when your earning in more than what you have paid.
They will send you an email saying they think that you are using their site for business and close you account and take all the money you have earned. So you will loose everything, even the credit card number they have.
I am sharing the email which they will send you.

Hi,
This is an email requesting a review of the membership to ensure you are not using Freeshipping.com for business or commercial use. Freeshipping.com is for personal non-commercial use only. As long as the membership is only being used for personal non-commercial use there would be no problem to continue with the membership or for you to receive the cash back and shipping rebates you have earned as a member.
Please reply to the mentioned email for assistance.
Thanks,
Samantha

Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at [email protected]?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
