SCAAAAAAAAM
February 12, 2012

SCAAAAAAAAM. Totally no bueno. Looked totally innocent at first, but then they tried to get my credit card info. Red flag alert! I did some research before I gave them anything else, and I'm extremely glad I did. Forget this place!

I signed up for free shipping because it was recommended to me after I purchased from an online retailer (as in, I could get a rebate for shipping). I thought I would try it out. This site was such a hassle! I'm pretty good with figuring computer related things out, but this, I spent forever trying to figure out how to get my rebate. I finally gave up planning to cancel, and then forgot in the holiday mess.
I completely forgot about this site until they charged my credit card for my membership. I suppose I can't be too upset, because I did forget to cancel, but I really don't like companies that don't deliver a service, then charge you a monthly fee till you cancel. The grouchy customer inside me has decided that is how they make their money. Off people who never end up getting free shipping, then they don't remember to cancel.
On the plus side, I emailed them (because I didn't see anywhere to cancel my subscription) and they promptly cancelled my subscription. So they get 2 stars.

* I agree with the other reviewer, Amazon prime is a MUCH better deal.

I had an awful experience- I thought I would give them a try- but after spending over an hour on the phone today to get my lousy $10 - it definitely was not worth it. I ordered from one of their so called partners- Personal Creations - it said instant credit on the freeshipping.com website- it wasn't happening so I called both sites- turns out I had to go to the proflowers site, order the product by logging in the product number from personal creations site in order to get my $10. Both sites blamed each other and of course it never got resolved. What a lousy way to run both businesses. I certainly will never order from either again.

FRAUD
December 17, 2011

FRAUD. What a waste of money... you are tricked into thinking you are getting some free promo, then you get billed the $12 per month. For what? Most websites offer free shipping. Case in point... http://www.ebags.com today, 12/16/11 offers free shipping and discounts on many bags. If you login to freeshipping.com and browse ebags.com throught freeshipping.com, all of a sudden all of the prices for the bags go UP. To the tune of $50! WTF!? Total SCAM. They trick you into thinking you are getting a good deal but when you browse websites from them, the websites increase their prices to offset the shippping? LAME. STAY AWAY. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.

It works for me
September 16, 2011

It works for me. Does what it says... just remember you must use the credit cards registered with the site to qualify for the rebates. Other than that, they simplified the process so there is less hassle. Worth the monthly fee in my case.

As of 8-28-2011 the MONTHLY fee is $12.97 - almost $157 a year - almost twice Amazon Prime. And nowhere in the promo materials is that disclosed, until you go to sign up. There are no reviews on ResellerRatings.com for them although they are listed but do not participate in monitoring feedback or resolving issues.

I have to be honest here. I only used the free trial and cancelled before the thirty days was up otherwise it costs you $79 for membership per year which is what amazon charges for their amazon prime membership. I signed up to save on shipping from a few certain retailesr on the freeshipping list. I used this service three times during the trial offer and had no issues but this was probably because I used only merchants offered on this list. The shipping charge on my orders was automatically dismissed so I didn't have to worry about waiting for a check. I recently rechecked their website and see that they are offering more merchants on their list than when I was using the free trial. It's cool to use if you order from merchants on the list that automatically take shipping off otherwise I don't think I would bother. I have noticed alot recently that many merchants are choosing to offer free shipping or reduced shipping in their promotions now and this may be the wave of the future.

We have received multiple charges from "IC freeshipping.com" which we never signed up for. We have no idea how these charges ever first started appearing on our credit card. They are for 14.97 each and were missed a few times by us since we use our credit cards for everything. This company is a total SCAM stay away from them!

I am having to change my single bank account card so these idiots can not charge anything to me. Since I have a joint bank account and another single bank account, I will keep both accounts open at my bank. The single account which they think they are going to charge me every month will stay open, but I am cancelling my bank card for that account and will receive a new bank card in the mail in about 5-7 days. No problem since I transferred with the click of a button all the monies in my single account to my joint account or I can simply withdraw it. All this will be done prior to me attempting to cancel before the 30-day subscription is over. Take that! Dirty Rotten Scam Artists!

I had charge on my credit card from the website listed in this review; when I questioned the charge, I was told via an email that I had signed up for a membership for FreeShipping.com for an offer to get a free shipping rebate for an order placed with SportsFanfare.com - I told them I had never placed an order with or visited the SportsFanfare.com, and I asked FreeShipping.com to refund the $95.88 to my credit card. THEY NEVER RESPONDED. I HAD TO CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE OF THIS.

It looked good but I became suspicious when they asked for my credit card info - why would they need it if they're giving free shipping? I could not find anything about "membership" charges other than "free for 30 days" and suspected a hefty charge. Stay awayfrom this "service"!

This is the biggest SCAM on earth! My mother thought she was getting a rebate of $10 for shipping from a high end clothier instead was charged &89 for a service she didn't even know existed. Shame on the clothier for even putting this information on their invoices implying that the customer is getting a rebate from them and not a third party scammer. We need to stop these kine of internet traps.

DO NO SIGN UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Be warned. Do not fall for their free shipping gimmick. They just sign you up for an automatically recurring monthly fee "service" called freeshipping.com. A total gimmick. They ask for your credit card information to "refund your shipping" and then after you enter it they tell you you'll be charged monthly for some lame "service" you'll never use. BTW their monthly fee was more than even my one time shipping charge would have been. I still haven't been able to stop them from charging me!
