Everything is fully explained when you sign up.
That being said, it's not worth it. Doesn't really save you that much money, takes forever for most checks to get back to you, and the responsibilities are put on you. There are much better services out there.
THIS SITE IS A HUGE SCAM. You will unknowingly sign up for a charge thinking that you are making an online purchase. They are highly unethical.
I was offered $10 rebate after placing an order on rakuten.com IF I opened an account with freeshipping.com. Doesnt say ANYWHERE that it costs money or how much money it just asks for a credit card number!?!? WTF! How can you ask for a credit card number from someone before you EVER mention a charge/cost/fee or the amount? To me that sounds like a scam!
I am a retired Police Lieutenant who just got ripped off by this scam. I am looking for someone to file a class action suit against this company. If I do not get my money back in full I am going to bring an action against these thiefs.
Too expensive. Also, I hate auto-renewal sites. Wasted a lot of money with them. Would never sign up again.
I have been a customer with this company for 6 or 7 years. I have SAVED hundreds of dollars each year. Don't understand why so many negative reviews have been posted. I would stress that unless you order a great deal online then by all means join and save on postage! If you only order a few things online then it probably would not be worth your while to join. You can save over a hundred dollars a year with Amazon, EBay, half.com and dozens of other websites! I have never missed getting checks for reimbursement for my orders! Just a terrific company in my opinion!
I can't believe all of the bad reviews. I signed up when I bought from Proflowers.com. I canceled my account before the 30 day trial period was up. 3 weeks after that they sent a shipping check refund as promised. You must read the fine print and do everything they ask. Then it's no problem. Actually looking through the Freeshipping site, they have a lot of good shipping deals, but I don't buy on the internet enough to justify.
Not worth it. After paying the fees each month, you barely save $2. Plus, you have to stay on top of them. They take forever to send checks. Customer service is poor. Amazon prime is the way to go.
I am surprised by so many bad reviews while I have had one or two problems I just totaled my rebates since I rejoined this site 10 months ago and after deducting the $12.97 a month charge I have made back $202.27 cents and have four more rebates to come. When I joined the first time you had to mail in all your rebates and often I would forget or not be able to keep track so while I did at least break even it was too much work but now that you can submit via email I do it right away and it is working out well for me. I you only shop online occasionally it may not be a good idea but for someone like me who does almost all shopping online it is great. The only thing I don't like is that their search for included stores is not always accurate you need to go to all the sites to listed that start with a particular letter or number to see if it is listed. When you want to check it would be nice to just type in the name of the stroe you wish to purchase from but like I said sometimes it will not show up. Also you have to be prepared to wait several weeks for your rebates but it is still money in your pocket. I am curious as to where to sign up for $79 as I pay $12.97 monthly.
Clearly, this is a SCAM website. Never got my advertised rebate. Stay away!
I signed up for the free trial and they charge me $12.97; When I called them, they answered me in a really rude way. I said "at least you should send a email to remind me that my free trial is going to expire or do something instead of charging me money secretly" and they said that's your responsibility and no one forced you to sign up our free trial, that is your own choice". So, I lost $12.97 without getting anything. Freeshipping.com is such a bad company. Never use their service!
Absolute scam! Does not work. I signed up for a free 30 day trial. At the first day made a purchase thought their web site and claimed the shipping refunds, as they advertise you should do. 30 days ( 4 weeks) past by, I did not get anything they promised! I canceled my membership. Garbage website.
Horrible service. Lost over $100 in rebates for shipping I could have done. They offered a 25 gift card for signing up but never gave it to me. Called to inquiry on the card and no one could give me any information other then its been submitted. Its been 2 months already. They canceled my account without my premission 6 weeks after opening the account. They gave me trouble on that issue to. Only received 1 check in 2 months, still wating on 5 others that they said they sent already. Lost over $100 but happy not to be doing business with them anymore. More ssues to talk about but not enough time. I dont recommend this site to anyone.
I thought that I was simply signing up for a rebate on a purchase I made. Ended up joining this. Very misleading to say the least. I cancelled right away. Hope they don't charge my credit card! I feel so scammed!
Got trial membership, got the intro reimbursement check after more than a month. I cancelled membership and got the cancellation notification, if I needed to call the bank if more charges appear, hopefully not! From several "Instant Free Shipping" websites that I checked, none of them shows Freeshipping.com logo/link that you can "instantly got the shipping charge wavered". It left you with the option of claiming for cash back, which is only up to $10 a month. So if you pay almost $13 per month to subscribe to this service and actually none of the instant free shipping websites gives you added benefit -free shipping- then you do the math...
Absolute garbage, did this 30-day trial to get a rebate on my ProFlowers order. Over a month later, still waiting on my rebate. Called customer service to cancel before my trial was up and they had already charged my card their monthly fee. When I contested it, they put me on hold and then hung up on me. Before that though, they told me my rebate was "in process" but couldn't give any sort of time when
I'd receive it. So not only did I end up paying for shipping on my flower order, I'm now out another $13 for this bogus service.
I was charged 5 times by this company (IC FREESHIPPING.COM, May also appear as: IC *FREESHIPPING.COM) at $11.97, my total is $60
The company without my authorization kept my credit card on file and charged me every month! I used free shipping only once. I asked to reimburse me, the company refused to do it. I think people should get together and and get this company out of business.
Natalia
They are keep charging to my credit card. I don't know why and I don't say to do it
Crap website! They never sent my refund on shipping! Stay away from this SCAM website!
It would be easy to sign up for this without knowing what it was, but I read things many times over. It is too bad that people accidentally sign up for this and don't read all about it. I canceled my free month trial 29 days in, and got rebate checks for all the purchases I had made in that time. The grand total of savings was $80.39.
I got this much savings just simply for buying things on ebay and amazon through freeshipping.com's links and copying and pasting the order info in an email and sending it back to freeshipping.com The service was free! I even got a rebate check for return shipping. However, after reading the fine print such as 12 rebates max per website per year with a $10 max rebate per single rebate claim, I would not spend 14 bucks a month for the service unless I had tons of stuff on multiple websites I needed to buy, the money to buy them with, and the time to enter the rebate info for all those things.
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at [email protected]?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
