I ordered tickets via Fandango today for the star wars movie. I dutifully recorded the confirmation number and upon arrival they said the confirmation number did not pull anything up and neither did the credit card that I used on to pay Fandango. By the time we got there and spent all this time, the only seats left were in front row, so we bought a ticket for next showing. I have been all over the internet and cannot find and email address or phone number to get this straightened out and get my money back. We won't ever use these guys again
This company has absolutely the worst website, the worst app, and the worst customer service ever. I tried to book tickets today for the new Star Wars movie. Instead, at the end of my purchase I received a confirmation saying I had bought tickets for Alvin and the Chipmunks. The email said that there were no refunds--which as it turns out, is not really their policy. I spent over a half hour on hold on the phone trying to reach them, and finally gave up. I went to the website, cancelled the tickets they had sold me in error, only to discover that they were still going to charge me the $3 "convenience fee." I then booked the correct tickets, but they never sent me an email confirmation of the purchase. When I tried to go on their website to do "live chat" conversation with a customer service rep, it showed that I was number 108 in the queue and that it would be 25 minutes before I would get a response. Meanwhile, I clicked the FAQ link they said I could "search while you're waiting for a customer service representative," and got booted out of the queue. Other times I've tried to book tickets with them, all I get are error messages after I get all the way through the purchase process, and I end up with nothing.
I too purchased tickets for one city and was sold tickets for a different city. I didn't know I had a problem until after my purchase was made 1 hour and 53 minutes before start of movie. You can't request a refund or ticket exchange from Fandango for anything less than 2 hours before the show. I was on hold for more than 50 minutes waiting for a supervisor and then I was automatically rolled into voice mail.

Purchasing tickets for dinner and movie for my family for Christmas with Fandango. I selected the correct date (tomorrow) but after transaction complete, noticed the date was for today (needed to be there within 45 minutes). I tried to cancel immediately but because it was within 2 hrs. Fandango online chat nor customer service would help correct problem. I'm out $67.50. Next step is to dispute with credit card company. Fandango needs to add to their online app, a purchase review before completing transaction. My advice is to not take a chance with this type of company unless you have money to throw away.
Needed to movie my movie ticket times and waited over an hour online for them to talk to me and they never did. Sent an email 5 days before my movie times and they never responded. So I lost the money I spent on my IMax 3D tickets ($31) and still no response from Fandango

Fandango return policy is unfair! Once you purchase with a credit card, then change your mind, i. E. movie time. To save an additional handling fee you can transfer to credit. If you decide you want a refund, once the money is in fandango credit you cannot receive a refund on your credit card. This would be fine if they actually told you this when the transaction was taking place... but they don't.
To make matters worse, when you go online to speak with a customer representative, the "time to speak with a customer service rep" shows 19 min, 21 min... when in reality it took 66 minutes to reach the customer service person.
I will use my credit and NEVER purchase through Fandango again!
I have no idea how it happened (human error or glitch) but when we turned up to see and early a.m. Star Wars show we were told we were at the wrong theater. There was no time to get to the other theater in traffic & the ticket agent said Fandango would refund or exchange so we re-bought tickets to see the show there instead. I recalled seeing a 'can't make it to the show?' link on the confirmation email and so felt like Fandango had a policy to handle the situation. On finding out you have two cancel 2 hours prior to movie or tough luck, I spent HOURS waiting in the online chat space and when I finally got through the agent quoted policy and then immediately ended the chat. Same experience via telephone. I cannot believe a company would hang up on both a chat & a telephone call like this and the zero bend to the 2 hour policy is ridiculous in situations like these. I finally called the other theater - the manager said this happens all the time and kindly offered passes that we can use in the future. I will never use Fandango again & will tell everyone I know to stay away. Unbelievably rude service & poor policy.
I recently made reservations for Star Wars without setting up a Fandango account. Although my credit card was charged, the transaction did not "go through". Therefore, I have no tickets. Beware of this process
The way fandango customer service works is by sticking to "policy", in which the policy does not help customers in any way. Customer service reps are great at following this policy, so much so that it makes the customer feel violated. Whomever is making this policy needs to be fired immediately, and more care to customers and the human error should be in play. God knows how much the theatre business makes, why not make it a easy process rather then a violating one?
I purchased tickets for my nephew & even though it was past present day tome for the movie, fandango defaulted & selected the current day. I noticed about a half second too late & called them immediately. They still wouldn't switch my tickets because it was less than the 2hr window. Such a waste. DO NOT USE!
As a Christmas present for my children, I went online to order 4 movie tickets for Thursday (Christmas Eve). The session timed out and when I continued, it saved the time and the amount of tickets I wanted, but apparent defaulted the date to today. I realized the error once I got the email confirmation. This was at 11:17A, and the showtime was to be 1:00P.
I called immediately and was promptly put on hold for 48 minutes before I got a human being on the phone. "Kimberley" informed me that there was nothing she could do because the showtime was in less than two hours. I told her that when I purchased the tickets, it was already within the two hour time frame, so that seemed a little odd of a policy. I also told her I did not want my money back, I just wanted to change the date. She said there "are policies in place for a reason, so therefore, there was nothing she could do". At this point, I asked for a supervisor and she refused, telling me that he would definitely tell me the same thing she had just told me, so there was no need to transfer my call.
She finally ended the call by telling me that she "suggest I read things carefully next time before confirming."
Fantastic. I am out $48. Merry Christmas to me.
I purchased with Paypal and have a Paypal card. Instructions said that I could use my card to pick up tickets at theater.
I left my phone home as I always do when going to theater. Upon arrival at theater, the box office said that they could not read a Paypal card. I needed to buy new tickets, but Fandango would refund what I purchased through them. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes with Fandango, guess what-- No refund.
They say it's not their fault the theater could not read my Paypal card. I asked for supervisor, waited on hold AGAIN, only to get voicemail. EVERYONE passing the buck.
Moral: Don't trust a service like Fandango to sell you someone else's tickets, and certainly don't rely on Fandango to have speedy or helpful costumer service. NEVVVVVER AGAIN!
Tried to buy two tickets and was charged for four. Tried immediately to correct online and by phone. On hold for 51 minutes! Literally! Then told I WAITED too long to seek refund/correction! Held online for 40 more minutes to speak to supervisor and missed the movie. Still do not have refund.

Did not realize I purchased a ticket for the wrong day and they wouldn't even give me a credit for another day. I will never use this site again. These people are useless! Basically what the rep told me after I waited a whole hour is that I'm out of $45.
Fandango SUCKS! I bought gift cards last year and have tried repeatedly to make reservation to go to the movies and every time being about 25 times it just errors out and customer service never comes to the phone or will not even make a reservation for you because they say they cannot! Bunch of B S. Dont waste your time
You pay a convenience fee and still have to wait in line to show your credit card number to get your ticket. Fool me once but not again. What a total scam
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
