They said IF YOU WANT TO CAN CANCEL A TICKETS, WE CAN GIVE A ONLY TICKET FEE NO TAX REFUND, AND OTHER FEE. WOW. Most agents are giving back a full refund to their customers but not this company. DO NOT BUY ANY FLIGHT TICKET HERE.
Even though 2019-nCoV (2019 Novel Coronavirus, Wuhan, China) and international news said can free cancellation but still hard to get a full refund. This agent charges too much money for a penalty and why in this situation still charge penalty?
I got to the airport the morning of my international trip with my email ticket and it was not valid. I had to wait four hours at the airport for them to eventually buy me a whole new ticket. I was so stressed that i agreed to the new ticket without realizing that the return time/date would not work for me. I had to pay an additional $300 to change my ticket. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BUY YOUR TICKETS!
STAY AS FAR AWAY form these scammers as possible. Once you have paid them they will cancel your flight for unknown reasons and keep your money until you contact them. They will send you bogus fake e-tickets. If you do not make sure you receive one they will never send it and never tell you. If your ticket was canceled and in most cases it will be, they will make is extremely difficult for you to get a refund (if you even do, as I'm still waiting) and they will try to waste as much of your time as possible keeping you on hold. If you are upset the rep you are speaking to will personally say, "I will not give you a refund, because you are mad". What are we suppose to feel when you con us out of our money and kick us off our flights for no reason. Further more if you purchase more than one ticket they will tell you you only purchased one ticket and that they can not find the other one, "Like duh, you guys canceled my reservation". They do this to make it seem like you purchased one ticket for the price of two, so they can keep the rest of the money you paid them. They will do their best to swindle you out of your money for the second ticket.
This place is an absolute scam. Been flying for a while now and this was my first time using them (through Sky Scanner, super disappointing). Never had a problem before with other third party's until now. It's basically a waiting game scam. You buy tickets. They send you fake e-tickets. Once your flight is coming up and you try to print them out you realize they don't exist. You call them and they make up lies and try to swindle you that your reservation got canceled and they cannot find your tickets. They send you more fake e-tickets.
Stay far far far away from this shady business. Honestly I do not know how it even has positive reviews. I have seen so many people 's post run into the same occurrence as I have from this business. Do your self a favor. Go somewhere else.
Terrible travel site! In 24 hour ( when i started check in process) before my trip I found out about canceled flight to China... i started to call ET... spent 5 hours to receive any answer... they change my flight to next morning... came to airport and agent can not tag my bag, because too many flights on my schedule... had to call terrible and unfriendly ET agents again till they finally fixed and I was in the air additional 6 hours and lost whole day out of 10! No apologies! No compensation! Stay away from them!
There was a letter missing from my last name and they said they couldn't help. When I spoke with the airline the airline confirmed that explore most certainly could help, luckily, the airline went ahead and fixed it on their end but now I fly home in a couple of days and I have to deal with it all over again.
This is a scam. Due to an accident, I could not travel. I contacted Explore Trip to change the flight date. They said any change to the original ticket is considered cancellation. They charged me $400/person cancellation fees and gave only 75% of my ticket price. Whenever you call them the phone is picked up in a foreign country and forget it... impossible to deal with.
They are terrible! The worst customer service EVER!
The took my money and cancelled my flight 48 hours before my flight because of a mistake by one of their agents... They don't reply to email, they just disappear!
Be careful and don't book with them!
Bought two alaska airline tickets thru exploretrip 22 days before traveling, the tickets they sold was on ''waiting seat' list which they had never mention. I had to wait at the gate till everyone on board then they assign the leftover seats at the last minute. So ricky, never again.
Price was higher after confirming booking. While I was booking it was 177usd and when I clicked confirm, I saw that they charged me 203usd. Don't think thats legal. I called them and they told me "the flight is now 215usd (yeah because I booked my seat) so I can apply you a $20 discount, so it will be 195usd"
Booked a $300 round trip flight to Ecuador. I got an email saying my card needs to be verified. I called the number provided and the representative was short and curt with me saying someone will give me a call back. Red flag #1 for me. When I did get a call, it disconnected right away. Red Flag #2 for me. I got a call again from a different number and the representative was rude. I provided my credit card number and she told me there was an error in the system and that manual tickets were being generated. Red flag #3.
I called my visa provider right away to confirm no charges were made, and cancelled my card.
I'm glad I did as after having reviewed the comments on this site, it looks like this company may be running a scam or they are extremely poor in providing good business.
I dont want choose even 1 star too, but no option there. WORST WORST WORST WORST customer support. No one is capable or professional at service, if you have any issue they won't respond in time and if you call them they make you hold forever. The worst customer service NEVER TRUST these guys, I strongly RECOMMEND not to book your tickets through this EXPLORETRIP they don't help you at all.
So rude. They don't want to help. My flight got changed few days before departure, ended up buying a new flight ticket. They don't want to help, ignoring the problem. Horrible agency. Stay away.
Explore trip's customer service unacceptable. The representative are often condescending and have terrible and in helpful attitudes.
Easily one of the most underhanded companies I have came in contact with.
They keep giving me a run around in regard to my refund and keep making up dates in regard to a refund.

I spoke to one of the reps and wanted to know when I can get my money its been 2 months and he tells me, I have to wait a month until it comes back.

Liars and liars and liars. NEVER NEVER BOOK TICKETS WITH THIS SITE. LIARS AND THEY COME UP WITH DIFFERENT PRICES DIFFERENT TIMES.
I booked a flight from Miami to Rome using a travel agency, explore trip. The airline, British Airways, changed our connecting flight time, not leaving the minimum amount of layover time the airport requires. The British Airways automated system then booted us off the flight. Called British Airways and they told us that the travel agency has to be the one to rebook us on a flight. We've called Explore Trip about 6 times since Monday, and every time we call we're told a different story or our being lied to: "that department is closed," "there's not a manager here," "the manager is busy," "we sent an email to British Airways and haven't heard back," "give us another 24 hours," "we sent you an email," "it takes 5 to 7 business days to get an answer." In the mean time, I've called British Airways and they said they haven't received any inquiries on our behalf from Explore Trip. Mind you, the only reason I know any of this information is because I happened to check our itinerary. British Airways is claiming its Explore Trips responsibility to notify us of changes, and Explore Trip is telling us they never received notification.
We booked a flight from Edmonton to Melbourne, Australia and two hours later i get an email saying that my reservation has been canceled due because the verification of the provided payment details failed.
I called them back right away and they said they can't do anything about that and my flights are cancel and we can't get that price back. I can rebook the same dates but cost $700.00 more! TOTAL SCAM! DON'T BOOK WITH THEM. THEY SUCK YOU IN BECAUSE IT'S CHEAP BUT YOU WILL END UP PAYING MORE.
Explore Trip is the worst customer service and communication I've ever experienced from a travel perspective. Do yourself a favor and skip the headache of booking with them. If you don't, your flight could be cancelled and they'll never notify you!
Worst experience ever. I booked an airfare, provided my credit card, received a confirmation # via email, and 7 hour later I am told the reservation is cancelled. These are the exact words on the email received:
"... the airline cancelled the available seat before your card was charged. We tried to re-book the ticket at the same price for the same itinerary but were not successful".
It looks more like a scam than a professional travel agency. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was told that for an additional $200 they could get me same tickets, but they could not honor the booking made 7 hours ago. I provided everything I was required as a customer. They lure you in with a low price and then they send cancellation notices a few hours later to ask for more money. I would not trust and use this company ever again. I regret providing my credit card information.
Answer: This site is a sham,. They lie, and will not resolve any issues you have.
