Got email last week that one of my flights got cancelled and call them. I did call - their answer call them back in24-48 hours. I did - same answer. Now I am 4 days away from my flight and they don't even bother to call, answer my emails... so frustrating. And the employees that you talk to on the phone- terrible! Never ever!
I've book flights to Japan, and airline rescheduled. Which I can't make it. So I contact the support service, they said I have to email, which I did. And back and forth emails asking for refund for whole month! Kept lagging and no response all kind of issue! End up it shows I didn't show on my flight so everything screw! Never ever ever again! I dont even get my money back!
They sent me a message 13hrs after I made my booking saying that my card was declined. The same credit card I have saved and used with them several times. When I called to verify my card they said the had cancelled my flight and asked me to re book it but this time I had to pay 300$ more. I booked somewhere else and will never come back. Lost my business.
Booked 1 ticket, experience was fine. Recently booked 7 tickets, a day later they call me and request me to pay additional $14.95 per ticket for my seat perference. Even I selected "no perference". They still demand me to pay the money. I agrue with the CS on the phone, he gave me different excause for the fee. Even say it was on sale price deal, that's why it's required. After this experience. I will never buy from them again. Very fishy site and people to deal with. Very not honest. Now just hope they don't change me on my card or cancel my flights. But will not buy again.
I have always used Expedia to purchase my flights but this was my first time using ExploreTrip and I have had the worst experience ever with them! I had a flight scheduled to go to Greece on Sept 10th, but it got cancelled due to a Strike the pilots are having. I'm only 2 weeks away from my trip and for 6 days in a row I was not been able to get any help from anyone. Each time I contacted exploretrip every person would give me completely different information and they would just tell me I had to wait for a call back within 24-48 hours. Some would tell me I needed to call the airline directly and others would tell me I had to wait a few days for an email! Like really how am I supposed to be calm when I am only 2 weeks away from my trip? Everything is already set and paid for but now I have no flight to get to my destination. Finally after so many calls I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't give me a complete refund because taxes were non-refundable! I insisted and explained how unfair I thought it was for me not to be able to get a complete refund when it was not my fault the airline cancelled the flight. I spoke to 3 people and they told me they couldn't do anything for me, that either I took the refund they were offering or I just kept waiting to see if any alternative flights opened up. I had never been put in a situation like this and I know for a fact I will never book with ExploreTrip again! It is extremely frustrating and stressful not getting answers from anyone when you're only 2 weeks away from your trip.
I booked a flight ticket through this online site. They are falsified their statement, they made me false promise while I purchased that ticket. For rescheduling the flight, they asked me to pay 1400 CAD while there were tickets available on 800 CAD. This is just worst site, never book any flight ticket through them.
I booked a flight with the. They changed the schedule multiple times and when I contacted them that I cannot accept this change due to interference with my work. They said I would be fined 300 hundred dollars for cancellation. Being fined for a schedule change that is done by them!
This is THE WORST company... booked through them... received e-mail next day after getting confirmation earlier that my c/c was declined. Called them and they suggested same thing... called c/c company and was advised there no attempts to charge c/c at any time... then start getting strange calls from call centers in India... I believe these imbeciles sell personal information to these centers... STAY AWAY!
We were trying to book through them, they have been telling us that they will send us tickets in 3 to 4 hours, we waited for 3 days, they still didn't have tickets for us, but went ahead charged us. So I called and asked why, and they are just so RUDE, and lied to me that they never charged us, but my bank account has the record that they took our money. Now we have no tickets and lost couple thousand dollars. Don't know how to get the money back. Guys, book your tickets somewhere else.
They will not send you a valid booking confirmation number. The following day you will receive a phone call to confirm your personal information. Later you will receive another phone call and they will let you know the didn't process your payment because there is an "increase" in the rate.
Just a piece of advice: call your credit card and give them a FRAUD ALERT from this site. Your credit card will be blocked and they will send you a new one with a new security number, this way you will avoid the charge.
Bought the after 48hrs i decide to cancel so i call customer service and had this inexperienced being and rude I've ever seen.
I was even telling him this isn't the way to talk to a customers but Sometimes being rude is genitical and he's so arrogant in his speech.
The person im referring to is DENHAM it should be fired.
I booked flight Toronto to Barcelona through explore trip, due to medical emergency my husband was not allowed to travel and I have to cancel our flight. I literally contact them for 3 weeks about my refund. I submit all necessary paper work. Result was zero. My advise to everybody is that don't try to book flight through Explore trip.

Stay away, worst customer service, they only know to lie and nothing else.
I was using Skyscanner and was very unfamiliar with how it worked, and I stupidly ended up booking with ExploreTrip yesterday evening. Around 11pm I start getting calls from numbers I didn't recognize. I finally answered out of annoyance and curiosity. They were from ExploreTrip asking me for lots of information I didn't feel comfortable disclosing over the phone with someone I couldn't tell was actually from ExploreTrip. They were pretty rude as well. Maybe it's early wherever the person was calling from but it was too damn late for me and demanding information about the card I used, my address, and other personal identifiers didn't bode well. This in addition to the really weird looking receipt made me feel like something was off. I began looking up reviews (I should've done this first!) and found out how unreliable and questionable they have been to many people. I took another look at my receipt/confirmation and saw their instructions, one of which informed me not to work with the airline but to contact ExploreTrip with any questions about the tickets. I again felt uneasy. When I called the airlines to check on the ticket it wasn't straightforward because the information they gave me was inconsistent. The confirmation number they gave me was incorrect - another red flag. The person at Alaska informed me that if anything changed with the tickets, like the flight gets cancelled or is late and I might miss my connecting flight, they can't help me, and that I would have to talk to ExploreTrip. She also told me I should check with the other airline to make sure that all lined up. I decided to cancel rather than risking running into the problems others have shared here and other sites. Good news is they said they will refund me for the ticket but I was charged a cancellation fee, which was fine if it means avoiding trouble later. I spoke with my bank and they confirmed they will dispute the charges should ExploreTrip not refund me within the timeframe specified. My fingers are crossed all will work out well and that I dodged a bullet.
The price was only a few dollars different from all the other travel websites so we didn't really think to look for reviews.
However after two days and 7 phone calls later I found these reviews.

Read all the other reviews, it's a very similar position. I will ALWAYS look for reviews now when buying plane tickets. This was beyond needless stress. How does this company even make money?
I booked my flight thru their website. I called them to check the status of my reservation and I was told to wait for couple of hours. I called next morning to check the status then I was told that their card verification department is working with bank. After 15 hours I called again they said card declined. When I asked why I was not informed over phone then I was told it's your fault. Customer care rep was rude and didn't know how to talk to clients. Finally I booked my flight thru another trusted provider and with in a minute my flight was confirmed. Stay away from these guys they are wasting your time
The company's customer contact is the Worst. I was bombarded by this company with over 10 time emails and 5 times calls. I spent the worst time in 20 days. They are the perfect company to make your trip the worst.

Very very unprofessional and rude. I booked flights recently and was not sure that it went through or not. I got two bookings of my travel. I cancelled one of my booking with in 24hrs of my booking but got email response from the customer care of cancellation fees of more than 35% (around $1900) of the total booking amount. They are so rude and even threatened me on phone as well as on email that if I do not accept their offer of 35% cancellation fee, they will consider it as 0% refund after 24hrs. They are useless and I will take some legal action for threatening me as well as such rude and unprofessional behavior.
Don't ever trust them for any booking!
SCAM: A day after purchasing my ticket, an agent Cooper called me saying I have to pay about 90 dollars for a sit assignment and it is not optional! He accused me of forgetting to get a seat assigned when I was booking! Since it was very strange and you can get a free unassigned seat in a flight, I did not trust him and asked to talk to a supervisor and he said they are not there (they are busy on second request)! I called the airline myself and they said that is not true and you can get a free seat when online checking opens. This is SCAM/Rubbery. I am going to collect the recording and make a lawsuit against them.
Answer: This site is a sham,. They lie, and will not resolve any issues you have.
