I purchased international round trip tickets through explore trip and a fairly decent rate about two months in advance from my departure date. I received an e ticket confirmation email and was picking my seats two days prior to the flight. When I went on the airline's website, my returning flight was only available. I called explore trip, and they told me the flight was cancelled. I called the airline and they told me they never received payment from explore trip so they cancelled my outbound flight reservation. The flight was never cancelled, and explore trip charged my card for the full amount. I called explore trip back and I was told to call back in two hours. I called back in two hours and was told to call back in four hours. I was also told a supervisor would contact me, which never happened. At this point, I called my credit card company and a representative called explore trip with me on the other line. Since it was a recorded call documenting my purchases, explore trip seemed to finally take me seriously. It was from 11 am until 9 pm before my reservation for the outbound flight was finally scheduled. If you are ever in a similar situation, call every 30 minutes and get the credit card company involved!
I bought their ticket at 9pm, got the wrong date, need to cancel at 11pm, within 24 hours, they want to charge you around $200 fee. How ugly!

4 agents hung up on me already because I am requesting a change that is not showing up on their system. I am the most kind and respectful person, yet they kept me for 1 hour on hold each then hung up on me just like that.
They asked me to call Ukrainian Airlines as everything was completely booked. I called Ukrainian Airlines, only to find there is vacancy. I tried conferencing them, they hung up on me again to run away from any discussion.
Simply, just stay away. My money is wasted and now I have to rebook at triple the price.
That was my terrible experience. I booked the flight through ExploreTrip to Vietnam successfully. However, when i went to the airport, I couldn't check in because the system couldn't find my name. I called the customer service of ExploreTrip at that time and they said my flight had been cancelled. The agent of the airline talked as if i made the mistake of the cancellation. But I am sure I didn't cancel it. I emailed the airline and they confirmed they didn't cancel it, either. The mistake must have been made by the agent but they were still irresponsible for that and blamed it on me like I accidentally cancelled it. Finally they only refunded me 1/3 of the original price. That is not fair for me because it was not my fault. I am only the victim. I didn't do anything wrong. They scammed me and behaved so rudely like i had to accept that loss. I had to call them lots of times to receive that money.
I would recommend you shouldn't book flight with them. They are so rude and unprofessional. As soon as they receive your money, they would cancel your flight without letting you know and only refund you with little money.
This is a sham of a company - forget using these whatever the cost why? Here is why...
My wife and I recently had a wedding in Thailand where, which was scarred by the service or explore trip due to Eva air flight cancellations for cabin crew strikes - won't ever be using this Mickey Mouse outfit again either
Explore trip who allot of our friends and family had the misfortune of using so not give a rats $#*! who and how your stranded - most of our friends were left scrambling a flight home to LAX - 90% of them having to pay for a new flight - to compare to Just fly - who sorted a new booking straight away using star alliance partners. Explore trip operated through a call center in India do not care - they don't call you back or do they help
Your left on the line for hours. One of our friends even re booked a flight only to find out at the airport there was no flight as they hadn't bothered to run his card. This company is a scam. My friend was left in Bangkok for 20 hours to find a new flight.
I ended up booking a new flight through Eva air directly using Singapore airlines (I was told by explore this could not be done)
Please do use this company at your own risk / an absolute sham of a travel agent who do not care an and fleece you for money.
Left 24 hours flight away they respond by - we will get back to you or we cannot help you.

I booked a flight to the UK and received e statement showing the booking number, so everything was good. Later that night I received an email stating that they needed a copy of my credit card, a copy of my ID and a signed authorization form sent within one hour or my flight will be cancelled. I did not respond, but did get ahold of the airline and confirmed the flight had been booked. The airline assured me that the flight could not be cancelled, unless I give authorization. The airline seem to be well versed in dealings with ExploreTrip, as it was mentioned that if they try to cancel, I should be on the conference call with them to the airline to deny the cancellation, otherwise I could be dealing with them for days.
It annoys me that ExploreTrip requested those documents. Not professional at all.
They just offer a competitive price, then when you buy, just cxl and increase price. I did have This same problem 3 times... and I will have to wait for refund
If you like having your time wasted with incompetence and excuses that don't make sense then book with them. If you want a straightforward professional process, then book with literally anyone else.
I made the mistake of booking one-way tickets with them. They quoted a higher amount than the round trip, which I expected. So I ended up booking with them.
Both times they had booked round trip tickets for me with a random return date. Looks like they booked the cheaper round-trip ticket and pocketed the rest of the money.
For example: I paid $2000 for one way ticket. But the reservation is for a round-trip and my credit card statement shows a charge for $281 for ExploreTrip and the rest $1700+ as Agent Fee.
Complete BS and waste of time and money. Booked a flight, the sent me confirmation. A MONTH later I checked, and still on e-ticket. Called the actual airline, and was told it was attempted to book, but was canceled because of non payment. I never got any type of notification that I didnt have my flights. Called Explore trip. Got the "i guarantee you i will get you flight"... and "I do not know why the refund didnt happen" They wanted me to book an entire new set, before I got refund. I refused. They called me the next day and said they could use the "refund" as credit... so I paid more for new flights. They were booked through some random travel agency in California. I got ticket confirmation from the Airline about 4 hours later... Explore trip called me the next day and said "the 2nd booking didnt go through". - which was BS because I got confirmation from the actual airline- but "it didnt go through because they cant book it that way, have to fix the original booking"... so they CANCELLED the 2nd booking. Promised me a call and solution in 24 hours. Its 48 hours now, I have called and been told 24 hours more hours, and it has to be done that way because refunds take up to 60 days. Have already put a Fraud claim into the credit card. Bot both charges and currently on hold for 12 minutes waiting for supervisor.
Do not send your credit card details and do not give any passport or driving licence details and signature.
They will steal your identity for criminal purposes.
Lucifer says it's not his fault, he's one of the representatives I spoke to. Anyways, what happened is I payed them 728 dollars, they cancelled my ticket as a antifraud measure, and now they want me to wait a shaky 2-14 business days for a refund. Had to have my debit card changed, and a dispute filed against them. Waste of time, true test of patience, now have to see if I can muster up more money for a plane ticket to a new job, and still arrive on time. So, if you read this, idk I guess use your own best judgement?
Giving one star to this catastrophic company is even too much. I also ready terrible reviews of this company and choose to ignore in favour of their cheap flights. It would have worked out better for me financially and mentally to book the more expensive flight. The company cons people in to think they are getting a cheap flight before tripling the price once your booking is in progress. Customer service agents are con men, telling me my flight had gone up to $2000 from $500 after much back and forth (and a VERY expensive phone bill) they could suddenly reduce it to $900. Do not trust them and DO NOT book with them.
I booked multiple flights in Europe this summer through Explore Trip to find a simple one letter misspelling of a name on one of the tickets. When I called customer service to correct it they would not help telling me the ticket was no good and that I would have to go hat in hand to the airline for a fix. Last time I use them.
I used Explore trip to book a oneway ticket From Sea to Houston via Denver for a friend. At first it looked like I had found a miracle. They had a booking for a flight with 3 days notice for $97.57. All the other flights were for about $200 more.
As it turns out this company said they had booked the flight. 2 days had gone by and I still had not received the E-Ticket Number. So I called them and they told me to sit tight and that within another 48 hours I would receive it. Since by then the time of the flight would have passed I called the airline directly.
The Airline confirmed that the reservation had been made and they gave me a E-Ticket number. But now the price had increased by $20. Still a great but the begining of the nightmare.
I then gave the number to my friend who got on the plane in Sea to Denver. Now stuck in Denver because the flight to Houston had been canceled. So I used a rebooking site that was sent to me and rescheduled the flight with another carrier after being told that the flight would be reimbursed to the credit card holder.
My friend experienced nearly a 4 hour extended delay on hold over that was already more than 8 hours long.
It took me all of the time to get the flight rescheduled so on top of his inconvenience I lost half a day getting him rescheduled.
Then comes the refund part. They end up sending me a check made out to my friend after 3 weeks have past. I know have no refund and a credit card bill to pay for a $351.43 replacement flight.
When I call them they explain that what I just described is impossible and there is no way to fix it.
So if I were you don't take the chance and use another airline. The company isn't a scam but they have serious flaws in their service and are unwilling to admit to them.
I have booked a ticket 12hrs before departure with exploretrip.com and 2 hours later got an estatent from my bank about the transaction, and just a few minutes later my eticket from exploretrip.com
However, just 7 hrs prior to departure, they emailed me they are cancelling the ticket because "payment verification failed", and following that saying they will REFUND THE CARD IN 7 days. I called their customer service to clarify, since I checked with my bank and transaction went through, their agent - based somewhere in India, was just wasting my time telling me that they get these complaints all the time, and the money will be back in a few days. So basically, what they do is they will hold your funds and use them, and then just cancel the tickets, and leave you stranded, waiting for your money to be refunded for weeks. You get absolutely nothing, and they get to use your money anyway they want for a few days or few weeks. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM. I wish I read more reviews about them and not trusted skyscanners rating. 0 stars at best.

IT IS A SCAM! I booked a ticket with EXPLORETRIP from Vancouver to Delhi- $414 USD. But they charged me $472 USD, when I called them IMMEDIATELY, they asked me to send an email to the billing department because they were clueless. I told them, "fine! Cancel my ticket then" They said we will give me back only 350!
SCAM! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!
I have booked ticket with explore trip for my parent. Transaction went through but they didn't issued ticket mentioned that transaction failed. When Called bank they confirmed it went through. I was asked to prove it. I dis conference call and then they said yes ticket is confirmed. Later they charge additional charge on my credit card and when I called they gave unsatisfactory answers. I had booked it was success why do I pay next day charge? And now on top of jetairways closed and clearly mentioned to request refund. This guys saying jetaiways doesn't respond anything about refund. I didn't get refund yet despite a travel date already past and I have to book another ticket for my parents.
ExploreTrip has proven time and time again that they are not a reliable provider for purchasing air fares. Case in point, their e-ticketing process requires an approximate wait time of +2 hours or longer AFTER entering your credit card info as well as an email confirmation being sent to you. The +2 hours process requires ExploreTrip to then MAKE THE RESERVATION on your behalf?!?!
In the meantime, the traveler is given only petty "reassurances" or excuses how complicated the airline industry ticket pricing can be.
After +5 hours, the obligatory back pedaling of how they can assist you on another airline at different times than what you originally requested and received email confirmation (ExploreTrip will state their policy on email confirmation as their "get out of jail free" card). This is a basic "BAIT & SWITCH" strategy that seems to be what they're known for. ExploreTrip will continue to be on top of Skyscanner's list because they'll use that same low fare (almost 40% less than competitors) to bait the traveler even though it does not exist any longer. You know... false advertising or FRAUD.
I've already warned Skyscanner's customer service department regarding this bad business practices from ExploreTrip. However, Skyscanner continues to use this provider and actually places stake on ExploreTrip's 5 star ratings (bogus because employees have written them).
This does not bode well with Skyscanner at all. It will only be a matter of time until this site does a thorough review of all REPUTABLE providers and conducts periodic evaluations in order to weed out the biggest offenders such as ExploreTrip.
Answer: This site is a sham,. They lie, and will not resolve any issues you have.
