They are the worst company ever, they have terrible customer service, they never have managers to talk to and the refund process it's horrible. They are a SCAM I have been waiting for a YEAR to get my refund for a ticket I purchased to Brazil before Covid and because of COVID 19 THE BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT ISSUED A COVID 19 DECREE WHERE THEY BANNED NON- BRAZILIANS CITIZENS (FOREIGNERS) FROM ENTERING THE COUNTRY BY AIR, LAND OR SEA, THE SAME TIME THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT BANNED BRAZILIAN CITIZENS TO ENTER THE US. They cancel my ticket and I could not travel even if I wanted to. I opened a complaint with the department of transportation because EXPLORETRIP was telling me the airline was not "Approving the refund". However, the airline sent me an email saying they approved it and that EXPLORETRIP NEVER CONTACTED THEM TO REQUEST IT. They are thieves and scammers.

UNRELIABLE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I tried booking a ticket with this agency only to find out my booking did not go through. And the only way I found out is because I did not see the charges from my credit card. THE AGENCY DID NOT EVEN TRY TO CONTACT ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT MY BOOKING DID NOT GO THROUGH. When I called them to see if I can book the same non-stop flight (preferably since I'm traveling with an infant and toddlers on a 13hr flight) they offered me the same flight but waaay expensive and they couldn't even be responsible enough for their mistake. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS!

I would have gave 0 rating if it was an option. Do yourself a favor and avoid Explore Trip. I booked a ticket with them with confirmation number, only to receive a call from them the next day, saying that my ticket is not available anymore and if I still want it, I should pay $600 more!

Warning, DO NOT BOOK THOUGH EXPLORETRIP! I booked a trip with ExploreTrip last year January 2020. Unfortunately, my trip was canceled. I received a automated message through the airline stating that they refunded the money to ExploreTrip. I sent them the authorization from the airline and filed for them to return my money. I have spoken to various customer service reps who continue to give me the run around on how they will process this refund 3 weeks and received same response via email. This has been since September 2020. No refunds as of yet. They are playing with my hard earned money. A bunch of thieves. Be careful.

Be aware of booking with this company. In may 2020 after my father passed away, I booked a ticket through Exploretrip to attend his funeral. At the checkin counter the airline representative told me that there was no flight for that route. I immediately called Exploretrip and they told me that they buy tickets in bulk many months/years in advance and that flight was cancelled months even before I bought the ticket. Basically they sold me a ticket for a flight that was never going to happen. After many complains with the supervisor they agreed to a partial refund. Well, to make a story short, after one year and countless phone calls and emails with Christopher at the billing department and Elijah at escalation department they told me the same lie, "the refund has been processed, check with your credit card company". I have never received my refund for a lemon ticket that they sold me. My credit card company could not open a dispute because I wrongly agreed to settle for a partial refund with them, hence they told me I should deal directly with the vendor. The representatives at Exploretrip have played this game with me for almost one year now where they claim they refunded the money and when I asked to show me a proof of the money been transferred from their bank to my credit card they disappeared. We even had a three-way phone call with them and my credit card company representative and Christoper kept telling the credit card representative that it's their problem if the money was not received and they couldn't do anything else. How ludicrous. This company is a scam, be aware.

Overcharged

I am very disappointed and unhappy with this travel agency. My overall rating is zero. The reason is my price of my ticket for my flight was $204 but as soon as I confirmed/ booked/purchased I was charged $272. This agency failed to notify me if there was the price raise. It is unfair. I felt like it was purposely overcharged and I felt cheated. I try to call the agency. One person hung up n other person spoke but. No help. He blamed it on the airline. The actual airline and other agencies same flight price is still ~ 50$ Or more cheaper than what I paid even after 3 weeks.

We had booked our tickets from India to Toronto. However, due to COVID we couldn't travel. Explore trip promised to give us new tickets for different dates, however they are not staying true to their word. On top of that, on each call they give false hopes, blatantly lie each time on deadlines, donot transfer the calls to their seniors. They are basically a bunch of cheats, unethical professionals who have unfortunately received a license for business. Non competent, liars, and high grade cheats.

Scammers

Worst site ever to book your tickets from. Struggling to get my refund from last 9 months. The amount was 2800 dollars which airlines refunded them back but they reduced the amount to 2100 dollars through cheap tactics and i have still not received it

Scam

Booked 5 tickets from them back in the beginning of the year To Italy, because of the pandemic flight was cancelled. They charged me $75 per ticket because they claimed I cancelled, when there was a travel ban to Europe. Tried to convince them that I didn't cancel, did not want to hear it. So I lost. Now they extend my remaining credit to January 5th 2021. Called them recently and was told my account was perged out if the system and they need to call the airline and there a possibility I lose my remaining credit. They are a total scam! Be aware! Stay away from this company. Very unprofessional!

This company is fraud

This company is fraud. I purchased Air ticket for Round trip but it got cancelled at the last moment. When i asked them for refund they asked me to pay extra CAD $229.99, which I paid to them. Now whenever I call them for refund status enquiry they are saying me to call the next day or they don't know anything about refund. Its been almost 1 year today but still they haven't refunded me a single cent of my flight ticket which never happened. They stole my CAD $1539. 00

Bought tickets for travel in 3/2020, $2,136.86! Flight got cancelld due to covid. Checked with them for refunds, they said to wait. Later, checked with American Airlines and AA said they refunded them fully. Been calling and emailing them 7 months now and now they don't even reply to my emails. On phone calls, they were rude, either hang up on you or transfer to some non answering number. Blatant highway robbery! Have reported them to state attorney general. You need to do it too, with enough complaints we hope to shut them down! Also sign petition on change.org to take them to court.

The rating of one star is misleading. I could not complete this review without using the star system. My review would be -2 stars. Please do not use this company to book any type of travel. This company is fraudulent, has poor customer support, and will cheat you in every way they can. I booked a flight through them in February 2020 and within one month my flight was cancelled. I've been corresponding with them since March 16,2020 about receiving a refund which I suspect will never happen. After I finish this review I plan to contact the fraud division of our state's attorney generals office to advise them of this company and it's practices. DOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I received email confirmation that they will refund my ticket. They refunded partial. But they never refunded the remainder which amount to $2060. I called them at least 10 times. Everytime I called, they keep saying it takes 2-3 billing cycle for the refund. We're 16 months in now and still no refund. Last time I called, they said they will not be refunding the remainder even though there is a written confirmation that they will. I'm thinking contacting a lawyer. Enough with the BS.

This is absurd this scammers want to give me a credit and they know As a US citizen How can someone get a credit for an international flight that can't use because of Covid neither for now nor for the immediate future. Refund me the money back please I knows there's hundreds of people requesting the same thing as the airline Air Europa told me you need to refund because of the situation no matter the booking, the airline is allowing it and you know the procedures but you as a scam company want to keep all of your victims money and that's sad. Give the people's money back!. Stop making fraudulent and nonsense things. Avoid at all costs booking or requesting services from this scammers!

Hi its been over 5 months and i still haven't been refunded for my flight due to coronavirus. As per explorer trip policy we cancelled our flights and were charged cancellation fee. Post which we were promised a refund on our flight. Without question the charged us $335.00 penalty for flight cancellation.
After calling them every two weeks to find out the status, i am finally told today that the airline "virgin australia" has denied the refund.
I am still waiting for a refund of $1150. 00

I have spoken to Arya, Will, April, Tim and Nadal. All of whom provide me vague, non nonsensical information. No facts or proof is provided on when they reached out to the airline, responses, or even basic dates on history of events?

Promised a Refund

My flight was cancelled because of the virus and I was told i would receive a refund. After several months of e-mails, etc. no action. I contacted my credit card company and it was beyond the 60 days time period. Nothing like a dishonorable business to deal with. Beware of doing business with them. Annette K. PNRK83VSP
