I got an email with flight changes and they called me as soon as I sent an email. The agent was very helpful. The changes were minor but Peter was very nice and explained everything with detail.

AGENT FEES

Stay away from Explore Trip. I too was charged 2 AGENT FEES of $710 each and I'm unable to find anyone to take to at Explore Trip Customer Support - they don't answer. And Bank of America - my credit card hasn't been any help. These charges are more then the actual tickets. Seems like fraud pure and simple.

Unauthorized charge

I recently purchased a flight from Toronto to Santa Marta, Colombia with Explore Trip. When I looked at my credit card statement after booking the flight, I noticed an unauthorized $72.25 charge to my account that is listed as AGENT FEE TRAVEL SERVCS. This is a problem for me as I do not remember being charged an agent fee while checking out and buying my ticket. Furthermore, my friend booked the exact same flight at the exact same time and did not get charged a $72.25 agent fee. Her credit card statement lists only the price of the flight. I'm very concerned that I have been scammed & am requesting a refund for the $72.25 that I was charged but am having difficult reaching customer service.

Update: I recently noticed on my card that I was also charged 9 dollars more for the exact same flight as my friend ($326 vs. $335). Is this how Explore Trip offers cheap flights? By scamming some of their customers? After contacting their customer service I received no real help & they continue to insist that they did not put those charges on my card. Either they took that money from my account or their website is poorly secured and compromised my credit card.

Update: Unbelievable. After spending many days contacting Explore Trip and attempting to resolve this issue, they promised to issue me a refund for the money they stole from me. I finally received the money today, however I was only returned $69 of the $82 they took. They offered no explanation for their theft nor did they issue the voucher they promised me for the trouble and stress I was put through. After reading other reviews, it seem I got off easy-- other customers claim to have been robbed of hundreds of dollars by Explore Trip! If you value your money and your peace of mind, do not use this "service".

Horrible company DO NOT USE

This has to be the worst company I have ever booked airline tickets from! Go somewhere else to book, if you need to make any changes they will nickle and dime the $#*! out of you. Book straight though the airlines, this place is a joke. If I could give these people negative stars I would.

Seriously, I tried to book 5 different dates & never got it booked. Each time I call Explore Trip they just said that the promo is over though the site shows 9 seats remaining at that price but they try to sell me a higher priced flight. 3 times I ask to speak to a supervisor and they hang up. Worst customer service ever! Booked same flight through Justfly.com at the same price that explore trip said promo price was over.

I booked a flight on exploretrip.com because it is cheap. But I realized how worse it is after making the booking. There is no option to cancel the booking online. They don't pick up the phones and they don't reply to our emails promptly. It is a pain to cancel a booking. I never had such a bad experience with any airline booking company.

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked 3 seats through ExploreTrip. What a nightmare. After booking my flight, they sent an email stating my trip was not confirmed until I received an e-ticket confirmation, which I should receive within 4 hours. After 5 hours and no e-ticket, I called customer service. The agent told me my "booking had been canceled because the airline did not agree to the purchase price of the tickets." They were happy to book the same flight for a higher price. I asked why I didn't receive a cancelation notice. They said because they didn't know it had been canceled. I declined to purchase the tickets again and was told that my card would not be charged since the original booking had been canceled. They charged my card the next day. I immediately called back and was hung up on several times. Finally spoke to a supervisor who said he'd listen to the recording and call me back within 24 hours. He didn't. I called 10 more times over the following week. Seven of the calls I was hung up on. Three times I spoke to a different agent and was told this supervisor would call me back in 4 hours. Still have not received a single phone call. My credit card company is now disputing the charge. I really wish there was a way to shut this company down. Stay away from this scam of a company.

Exploretrip is a scam
August 22, 2017

Traveling home from Naxos, Greece two days ago with 5 people including a 3 year old, we arrived at the Naxos airport to find the airline (Sky Express) had no record of our tickets. Further, they had no room on any flights for days. We were forced to take a taxi to a ferry, buy 1st class tickets - all that was remaining - and travel to athens on a 6 hour (!) ferry, and then take another 30 minute taxi to our hotel.

How did this happen? Well, while standing in a 100 degree tiny office at the Naxos airport I called ExploreTrip for help AT MY OWN EXPENSE ($2/minute on my cell plan). I was told that the charge never went through for the tickets and then put on hold for 15 minutes to see what could be done. The agent NEVER CAME BACK.

WHEN I PURCHASED THE TICKETS THE EXPLORETRIP SITE SAID THAT THE CHARGE WENT THROUGH AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY SORT OF FAILURE MESSAGE DURING THE TRANSACTION OR AFTER. In fact, I received a ticket conformation via email indicating tickets had been successfully purchased.

So this issue has cost me $450 plus (and more importantly) about 8 hours of my and my family's time while on vacation.

I have messaged ExploreTrip since and heard nothing back. This company is a scam as far as I can tell. Too bad in this day and age that this can happen.

Don't lose your time
August 22, 2017

Once booked i was waiting for confirmation, then they told me that they can't confirm my credit card details and i should call to the customer service. Just 20 minutes after i did the same reservation they told me that the price was increased so i decided to don't buy.

They canceled my flight without telling me. Then didn't give me a refund. Wasted a lot of my time and money. Don't risk it. They could do this to you too. Read the other reviews. This happens regularly.

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely terrible. Showed up at the airport, after a 5 hour drive through the night, just to find out that my flight had been cancelled by ExploreTrip, though I received a confirmation email days ago. I had to call customer service three times because the first representative hung up on me, the second time I could not get a hold of ANYONE, and the third person I spoke to was completely rude and absolutely unprofessional. This "business" is a joke.

I booked a trip that I cancelled under their full cancellation policy and was supposed to get the entire amount back. They then went on to charge my credit card with several purchases that I did not make and now still two months later have refused to send the refund.

On July 24th, I booked a flight (Porter) to Quebec City for Aug 21st. On August 15th, I called the airline to pay for a checked bag. The Porter Airline representative informed me that the booking agent (ExploreTrip) had previously cancelled my reservation.

ExploreTrip did not contact me about this change and on top of that, my refund for the tickets will not be in until after Aug 25th.

They claimed that the price they sold me the ticket at was unavailable. Now I am screwed.

Do not use ExploreTrip.

I tried to change my dates 2 months in advance and they wanted to charge me more that double the proce of the ticket extra for a week delay. I renounced.

On the day of my flight they confused the terminal, company AND time of my departure. Good thing I was very early and called them and with the information center at the airport i could find my way. They didn't help and were rude on the phone...

I will never book any ticket with them again

I have booked a flight to Japan, round trip for $400 through Explore Trip. They have been nothing but helpful and answer all email inquiries within the hour. I don't care what country they are from or what language they speak, their service is A+++ in my book, and with a BBB rating of A, you cannot go wrong.

Stay away

Do not book with this site. They have horrible customer service. I tried canceling a reservation in less than 30 minutes after booking it and haven't received a refund. Instead, they charged me a cancelation fee of $100 on top on my reservation of over $3,000. I've called over 4 times now and they said that my request was escalated to their manager and because they are the ones working on it, there is nothing that they can do.

DO NOT BOOK ANY FLIGHTS WITH THEM! They duplicated my charge and promised to give them back, they never did. I called seven times in the last one week but their customer service was HORRIBLE.
