Horrible help service!

Worst experience ever! One of my connecting flights got canceled and ExploreTrip didnt even notify me by phone. We had been trying to get some information from them for several days but nobody called us back, and every time they found various reasons not to talk to us - computer problems, asking call us to call another time (even though their support is supposed to be 24/7). Yesterday they promised that their manager would call us, but it never happened. We had to call the airline ourselves and luckily they resolved the issue, but lack of help from Explore Trip and uncertainty for several days made it a disaster.
If you have any problems with your flight be aware that you may not get help from ExploreTrip.

DOUBLE CHARGE! SCAM!
November 15, 2017

Unbeknownst to me i booked my flight to Hawaii through this airline (from my iphone app). I thought it was going well, until everything went bad! I was charged a pending charge for my entire flight, followed by my return flight, following by my departing flight. I have been trying to get them to resolve this issue since last Thurs, its Wed already. Every time ive called the reps make it seem like its my fault and keep putting me on long silent holds that end up with a random automated person saying im sorry were busy. Goodbye. I was told they would resolve my issue once i sent in my bank statement, now they told me they never received my email. No my bank account was frozen and i have 3 desperate overdraft fees from this company and be manager Malone told me we wont refund it bc we dont see the charges even though the Sup Kenna told me they would. I have a headache from going round and round this past week. NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THEM! A lot of Indian reps who would rather argue with you than be accountable and get you results.

ABSOLUTE $#*! OF A COMPANY. I REPEAT, ABSOLUTE $#*! OF A COMPANY. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They have awful customer service, every person I spoke to had a different story to tell. Absolutely ridiculous company to deal with. They told me they would refund my flight, and when I called they said that they could only refund half of it. Till date I have not gotten my refund, and I am a poor college student. When I explained to them my situation, they said that they would refund it again and I even received a written confirmation but they went back on their word again and never sent me the refund.

Our story

Our experience with explore trip(trip pro) it was awful or a scamming us to buy a ticket from u guys its was incomplete because my daughter dont have the ticket # she is an infant but should have the ticket# to be able to fly with us. We found out in the airport to checked in to United airline the Lady who did for our checked in couldnt find my daughters ticket#, so I tried calling many times and just hung up on me! And thats cost me full price $800 for my 1yr old daughter add it to the price I already for full price for my family which is I am not supposed to pay her full price only tax but its because it rush so have to pay that much! If u need evidence I have the receipt of how much I paid for my Daughters ticket. Pls advice and I need my money back to what I paid for my daughters with you explore trip.

Terribly poor
November 11, 2017

Very poor customer service. They hang up on me twice. The airlines I was booked with( Island Air)is going out of business as November 10,2017. Cant get me refund and they over charged me what was posted originally in my credit card. Please do yourself a favour and out of trouble. Refrain from booking at this site.

Double charge

They charged me nearly a thousand dollar for Agent fee, cause me a lot trouble since i have to go to the bank, freeze my bank account. Since it was over drafted. I couldn't use my card for 10 days. WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN

It's a scam

We booked 4 airline tickets through their website this May. By the time we got to airport on the travel date in October, the airline counter could not find our names. We had to make an international call to Explore Trip asking the reason. They told us that our tickets have never been issued because the payment did not go through. The credit card we used for the payment was Citi-Costco card which we have used all the time and never has problems. We did not get any notices either from our credit card company or Explore Trip about the payment denial. Anyway, we had to purchase the last minute tickets with the price more than twice higher. It's an interesting thing that we used the same credit card and worked right away. Then there was another problem for the airline counter to issue a boarding pass for one of us, because his middle name was misspelled. We had to call Explore Trip again to make the correction. When we got our credit card statement, It had 5 times of their agent fee charges (4 times of $101.07 for 4 tickets and $156 for a name correction) in addition to the expensive airfare charges. It was an awful experience! Never use Explore Trip!

Never use this company!

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. The charge me twice and then denied they had any record of it even after I sent a copy of my bank statement. They put you on hold and never come back. Tried to cancel within the 24 hours after being on the phone all day with them, making promise after promise to return my over charged money but also to even get this cancelled. They are very rude and act like it is all your fault. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL CHEAT YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN CHARGE YOU EXTRA HIGH PRICES AFTER THE FACT OF YOUR RESERVATION. STAY AWAY!

Cancellation policy

Before I booked, I saw the claim that there was free cancellation. I called to cancel after 8 hours, and was told that cancelation is $50 per person x 3. They are not ethical. Sorry, I cant give them a good review!

I booked 13 airline tickets for my office staff. I received my em confirmations so I thought everything was legit. When it came time to check in for our flight, found out they have cancelled 3 of them but never rebooked them. Had to purchase new flights at a higher cost. Shame on Exploretrip.com They are incredibly non-helpful in issuing the tickets to me as I didn't have the right #s on my confirmation em. I printed the entire document and gave them the #s. Of course they didn't have my reservation because they cancelled it! Terrible experience, won't recommend or use them again!

I first off want to say that anyone reading this review, the people working at this company go on websites about reviews of their company exploretrip and put up fake 5-star reviews to make themselves look good. They are not real, so don't believe them.

Unfortunately, I had booked with this company the beginning of the year and I had a problem where I couldn't fly and showed documentation to support it. The Airline was perfectly fine and said I should get refunded, but I had to get the refund through exploretrip. I've never dealt with a company before of people who are so rude and have the worst customer service. I'm sure like many of you who tried calling, they randomly just hang up on you, ignore you, and even lie to your face. It was honestly easier to just email them and seemed to get more results that way, but still didn't do much.

I had all of my proof of the different answers they were giving me through email as one lie after another, and giving the run around to refund me of why they couldn't do it. Literally after many months of asking, I told them I would seek legal action and had the attorney general call them to figure out why they weren't refunding me. After getting a good talking to, they FINALLY issued me a refund. Keep in mind, this is a tactic they use of giving you the run-around so you will want to give up of getting back your money.

Despite getting my refund in the end, I would stay away from this company and will never use them again. You might save a little bit of money compared to a regular airline's site, but it's not worth it. They change prices on you, lie to you, and hang up on customers. Do not do business with this company at all costs unless you want to check your credit card for unauthorized amounts.

The agent sounded very pompous! Even within an hour of making the reservation these people were charging $450 cancellation fee. Which is absurd! They dont even provide the cheapest fare. I would rate them 0.

I booked a ticket and in the site, it says ticket can be cancelled within 24 hours and i was charged around 380$ for cancellation within 24 hours. Saying singapore airlines will charge. As per US OTA, there is 24 hour cancellation, but these guys are ripping money like anything. On top of that, they sent a mail to accept their charges which is pathetic.

TOTAL SCAM

I had a family vacation scheduled to Thailand and just found out they cancelled the booking and never notified me! The tickets are now $3k a piece - three times what I could have gotten them for 6 months ago when I originally booked. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I'm "talking" to customer support now and they have me on hold - forever.

Unetical and a scam

After trying to cancel a flight with Air china, Customer service said I will be charged for the cancellation fee from the airline, 150$ each. (2 in total) Sucks, but I accepted. They sent me some weirdly worded email, and it was accepted. Airline cancelation fees are standard. A few days later before I even got my refund from air china, I saw a 300$ charge from these scum bags, than a few days after that I see a refund for around 400$ less than what I paid for the tickets. That's $700 in total cancellation fees. Of course I call up explore trip, and now its time for them to reveal there scam. Only now once they've charged you this ridicules for nothing 300$ extra charge that its a separate charge for no reason, and that the airline cancellation fee is separate, and than there proud to ask you to look over the weirdly worded email, confirming they can charge you it. Ethically this company is garbage. Customer service from day one is garbage. I've taken many flights and have to had cancel them, and this is the first time I've seen such a charge. It also happens to be the first time Amex has seen such a charge. A company that tries to make money duping customers, instead of having good customer service, and ethical practices. Should be shut down.

Do not book with Explore Trip. This is barely a step above an outright scam. They issue you fake/temporary ticket numbers that get "exchanged" with the airline - the trick is, that exchange often means your flight details are completely changed (different **earlier** departure times, flight numbers, reservation #'s, etc.) and they don't inform you about these differences. If you call their customer support line, the customer support staff is not able to even look up the new details for you - they send you to the airline's customer support, who are completely confused because you have, essentially, a fake ticket/record locator.

In a single trip booked via Explore Trip, I missed a flight on the way out (because it had been rebooked to a different flight #, 2 hours earlier, without telling me) and now I am up at 3 am with Alaska & Virgin America customer support trying to sort out my return flight tomorrow because - get this - NO TICKET EXISTS NOW.

Do not book with these people. Sidenote: based on my experience and several other reviews here, it would seem that this company is also buying good reviews for themselves (see all of the 5 star reviews here, which seem to name a specific person - first name only). Be warned.

Stay away from this company. I booked a trip 2 months ago (08/17) for a trip that is in (12/17). I even received call at the same day of booking for confirming my trip. Today, just in case, I wanted to check details and confirmation of the trip I booked. I got online and went to their website and I was shocked that it shows that trip is cancelled. I immediately called them to check if there is an error. I was told that there was no error and trip was cancelled 3 days after the booking with reason due to airline pricing! They did not send any e-mail for cancellation and actually informed me that they do not email trip cancellations. They only call to inform and he told me that they had tried calling me. I received absolutely NO call from them. Now I am searching for the same flights somewhere else and it is around $2K more than what I originally booked. Everybody has to be warned from this company, and they need to go out of business! You better stay away from this website and go somewhere else.

NEGATIVE 10 STARS

Hurricane Irma forced us to evacution from our Gulf Coast Florida home. I was on Frontier Airlines Web page clicked on help button. This turned out to be a pop up direct to explore air. They lied stating they are Frontier Airlines. Tickets that on web page 99. Per person r/t now cost 592.00. Flight cancelled (due to storm) frontier air issued credit ASAP to explore air. Explore air has not issued credit to me. Sam at explore air assured me this would be handled. 2 WEEKS AGO. Sam you lie. Stay away from these thieves.

I have just received the worst experience with ExploreTrip! I will never ever again use this service to book any future flights. I booked a flight 2 weeks ago and received a confirmation email that my flight was booked. I then noticed 2 weeks later that my credit card was not charged and I called ExploreTrip customer service to review this. Upon calling your customer service I was shocked by the rudeness of the customer service employee. He informed me that my flight was canceled. Due to absolute shock I wanted to speak with a manager. I informed him that I have received no notification, or email or any sort of communication that this flight was canceled. He was incredibly rude, raised his voice and would not transfer me to a manager and then hung up the phone. This whole experience is unacceptable! I booked a flight 2 weeks ago and now the same price has gone up in price by $100! Not only am i forced to pay more for the same flight due to their discrepancy. I should have been informed that this flight was not booked but I was not informed at all. Then I got treated appealingly on the phone with complete disregard for my situation. This is totally unacceptable. Do not book with this website!
