No, and Hell Naw!
January 12, 2019

I bought a ticket for India from Toronto through SkipLagged (and its not the first time i used that site) It took me to ExploreTrip to confirm the booking. I made my purchase and i received a Booking Confirmation, but I was to receive the e-ticket within 4 hours. 14 hours later, and 3 phone calls to ExploreTrip, the best excuse I got was 'your travel date is far, so your purchase is still in queue'. My 4th call was an extremely polite cancellation which was fortunately successful. Speaking with my bank, they told me that a purchase was NOT made, and that there is nothing for me to worry about. This however isn't the funny part.

I sent a feedback mail to SkipLagged. Next day, i get 2 phone calls from ExploreTrip, one from California, and another from New York. Both said SkipLagged contacted them and they wanted to know if I was still interested. They both got an earful from me and because the call was (allegedly) recorded, they didn't say or deny anything, except say that they are thankful for my feedback and they would let management know. Un-surprisingly, they both didn't know that I had cancelled the trip with one of their agents the previous night.

I still trust SkipLagged, and will continue to do so, since I have booked through them multiple times. ExploreTrip, however, would't travel through them if my life depended on it.

A SCAM..
January 11, 2019

They will send you 2 confirmations of your trip. Once you will get at the airport the airline will tell you your ticket does not exist. And the respond of exploretrip will be sorry we could not find a ticket a the price we advertise it. And you will have to pay a very expensive price for a last minute ticket or watch your plane leaving.
FAKE ADVERTISING... MISLEANDING CUSTUMER.

DON NOT USE THIS SITE. They have charged my card and never issues my flight ticket. They claim that I had to send authorization for usage of my card over email which we know it is not secure. Worst part is that my card got charged anyway even though they were still waiting for a verification process. Call center agents were not helpful at all and even supervisor hang up on me while we were still in dispute.

Will not recommend this site to anyone.

Today, Christmas Eve, my Grandfather passed away while my dad was visiting family in Argentina (my Grandfather was in Canada). Me and my siblings took it upon ourselves to take care of my dad's flight home, something that needed to be done as soon as possible as it is most often a 20+ hour trip to get home and he wanted to get there in time for all the funeral arrangements and such.

We browsed and browsed until we came upon the perfect flight package (on the Explore Trip site). We had never heard of them but we were sad and desperate to get my father a flight that got him home in the shortest amount of time.

We booked the flights for later tonight, entered information and payment, got a confirmation email, and 4 hours later received an email stating that the reservation had been cancelled because of payment issues. At first they seemed very understanding of the situation but then told us that the ticket we originally paid for had been taken by another passenger. They said we could re buy this ticket but at a higher price. On top of this price increase they wanted a new card and another $100 for the 'inconvenience' of switching the cards, which is something I could have done free of charge online. Not only this but were they wanting pictures of the original card and new card with passport pictures. We called the bank and the card was ok, they did all this to increase the price and make us desperate. We looked up reviews and found many people with similar situations, so I told the guy to cancel everything after 40 minutes on the phone with him, to which he replied "you are not doing anything good for us by doing this".

After cancelling and assuring us no payment would be charged to any credit card, they continued to call and harass my dad asking for pictures of his ID and credit card. We are still waiting to see if either of the cards will be charged.

Please do no give this company your business, they are sketchy, you may miss your flight, and its not worth your time. We ended up booking with another flight agency and in 10 minutes had a confirmation and E-ticket emailed to us. Use a well known flight agency or use the airline directly.

This JOKE of an agency took advantage of a really terrible situation to make money, with absolutely no respect for a family on Christmas that is grieving the loss of a loved one...

Please safe yourself the trouble... DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPLORE TRIP. EVER!

Policies are a scam
December 14, 2018

I would NOT go with this company. The policies are ridiculous. If you can get on your flight and have no issues, then good for you. But it is not worth the price difference, so just go with the airline direct. Booked through exploretrip.com and my flight got canceled due to airplane motor malfunction - was notified two months ahead of time, however I was booked a flight at a totally different time of day WITHOUT my permission. Went to call exploretrip.com and they are charging me $200 for an exchange PLUS the price difference between flights when the cancellation and booking were not under my control or permission! I have to pay the entire price of a new ticket due to their no cancellation refund policy. Complete bs

NIGHTMARE CONTINUES
December 7, 2018

I booked my flights to Australia for my son and I on Nov 16th stating EXPLICITLY that I needed a refundable ticket as I was in a custody settlement with my ex husband and there was a possibility I would need to cancel the ticket on Dec 6th. I was also given the possible cancellation charges for each ticket and I agreed and went ahead with the booking. Once again I confirmed if the ticket was refundable.
Unfortunately I had to cancel the trip due to disagreements with my son's father and so I call the helpline to cancel my ticket. What do they tell me? They say the ticket is NON REFUNDABLE! 24 hours on the phone with them trying to speak to someone including the agent who's name I remember and no one has gotten back to me with any response. Its a matter of $2983. 70 and I am ready to take this higher up. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to respond please let me know, I am a single mom with a 3 year old and I cannot afford to let go off this money, I need it! PLS HELP

ยท I would highly suggest not booking any flights with ExploreTrip. We ended up paying more for the tickets than buying it directly from the airlines

SCAM, stay away.
December 3, 2018

It's a scam. Booked a flight to Hong Kong and Singapore last night and everything went well. Their price was about $150 cheaper than other places. Checked with the airline, everything as legit. Got an email this morning saying that tickets were cancelled, didn't really give me a reason just want me to call them back so they can hike the price up. I called my credit card company to make sure that I will get my money back. My credit card company is well aware of this scam and recommended me to cancel the card since God know who else they have given my info to

They booked me a connecting flight in two separate airports in Tokyo with a 3 hr and 20 mins window. Just travel between the two airports takes over an hour, so how could I make it in time for Int'l transfer? Called to see if anything they can do. Sure, a flight change and $275 one time fee. I said ok, then the charge somehow becomes $324 on my statement? A few days later, another call for charging me seat assignments? What another $89 dollar. If I have known about all this, would just book it through Eva directly and save all the trouble.

I booked a ticket. They were acting nice(faking it) they told me that i will get E-ticket in 45mins-maximum 4hours which is very rare. But then i waited 12 hours they didn't send me email. I called the agent said oh sorry they said everything seems normal you should've received your e-ticket. He said i will inform the ticketing the department, they will take care of it asap.( expect your e-ticket in on hour) i didn't get any email. After 4 hours i called they said the price went up, i was mad then i agreed to new price. I told them please send me e-tick asap. They said definitely you'll get it. I waited 5 hours still no emails i called they said the price went up everytime i was calling the will giving me new and new prices and i called 4 times (45 minutes plus call duration) and the agent would say everything seems normal with your reservation and they would put me on hold and they would come with newer prices :(( ( so finally they said you should be happy that we answer your call. Finally they gave me a ridiculous price and said if you don't agree with this price in one hour we will have to cancel your reservation! They are very unprofessional customer service because they told me the agent who helped you is not here so we can't help you. I was like who cares about the agent! I'm not dating her. So DONT BOOK A TICKET WITH THEM!

Crooks
November 12, 2018

Rude customer service. Had a credit of 434$ with explore trip and when I call to apply it towards a ticket that costs 250$ they tell me I have to pay 500$ extra. Which based on the numbers makes no sense. Complete crooks.

I booked an international flight through them. I had a change of travel plans and needed to change my ticket to a different country. This was not possible through them. I lost all of the money that I spent on my ticket except for the taxes. Only giving two stars because the gentleman trying to help me on the phone was polite. I will not however, book a flight with them ever again. I lost over $600.

Bait and Switch
October 31, 2018

We booked online through SkyScanner. Beginning 1 hour later they called us 15x (even at 1am!) to try and convince us to book a different carrier. They never intended to book the original ticket. How is this not wire fraud?

DON'T EVEN BOTHER
October 29, 2018

Got directed to book with them from the results on SkyScanner. Booking the flight was easy and that is where the nightmare began!
I called them to cancel today and got informed that they will charge me a $200 fee to cancel "but you'll get your credit back". I was thinking "Okay, you can take that fee our of my travel credit" - NO, that $200 will be for THEM - EXPLORE TRIP, not for the airlines. Guess what? Since our flight booked with JetBlue, we will ALSO GET CHARGED ANOTHER $100/EA WHEN WE DECIDE TO USE THE CREDIT (which is now down to NOT EVEN ZERO but NEGATIVE if you do the math) from this whole experience.

That's not even the best part yet! When I was saying (as I was thinking out loud) that maybe it'd be better to not showing up to our flight then. The lady, with the Indian accent that everybody mentioned, informed me that "Oh no, that'd be no show and they will charge you a no show fee AND you'll get no credit from it". Like do you even listen to yourself, lady. YOU'RE STRAIGHT UP SCAMMING ME RIGHT NOW!

LONG STORY SHORT, JUST DON'T BOOK WITH THEM, AT NO COST. THERE'RE MANY OTHER RELIABLE SITES THAT YOU CAN BOOK CHEAP FLIGHTS WITH! BOYCOTT THESE SCAMMERS!

Total Scam, stay away!
October 3, 2018

Total Scam. I booked 2 flights this afternoon, it even hit my credit card as "pending". Tonight i get an email, my flights are cancelled. I call for an explanation and they said the credit card validation failed. That isn't true as it already hit my credit card. Supposed to be getting a refund in 24-48 hours (I'm pretty sure this isn't going to happen. Total BS, stay far, far away from this site. As the saying goes, when something seems to good to be tue, it probably is!

I saw a flight for a $100 on sky scanner and called them to book it. I was told it would be $200 because the available seating had gone down to 2. A couple hours later, i got an email saying the flight was never booked due to a billing error, OK. I went and booked flight directly with the airline and it was about $100 and there were atleast 20-30 seats still available when it gave me my option. Not cool Explore Trip. Not. Cool.

I had to make a reservation for work to fly from San Francisco to North Carolina on short notice. I had to make sure the flight was booked and confirmed. When I realized my flight had not been confirmed I immediately called to cancel and made a reservation with the airline directly to ensure I would make it to my work location. This happened in the space of five minutes. When I called to cancel they told me that it would cost me $108 in tax fees. And on their website they say free cancellation within 24 hours and this was five minutes from the time I made the reservation. These people are CROOKS! CON ARTISTS! Book directly with the airline that's my advice!
