Epic Games Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding poor customer service and lack of support, particularly in account recovery and issue resolution. Customers frequently express frustration over inaccessible live support, unresponsive ticket systems, and perceived indifference to their concerns, leading to feelings of exploitation. While some positive sentiments exist around the gaming experience itself, the overwhelming trend highlights dissatisfaction with service delays, inadequate communication, and a lack of effective solutions for account-related issues. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for the company to enhance its customer service practices to rebuild trust and satisfaction among its user base.

Worst customer service EVER!
They couldn't care less about the people that support their games if they tried.

Poor Service
July 9, 2020

Epic Games doesn't seem to care about their current or prospective customers. They don't have customer service and they sell products without ever giving any support for them or a means of a return when the product is faulty.

Avoid
July 8, 2020

My daughter accidentally purchased the wrong item using her pocket money. She was so upset that I contacted epic games and requested a refund to which I was told NO. Stating if they gave a refund to her its showing favouritism. No it is rectifying a mistake made by a child clicking the wrong thing. No help at all from these fools! Keep away and do not waste your money on them when they do not care at all. Disgusting customer service...

Epic has created console wars on the PC with their unethical and consumer unfriendly policies. They continue to throw their Fortnite bucks at publishers to secure exclusivity deals for new releases on their mess of a platform, and some of these games have already been advertised and promised on other platforms. The Epic Game Store lacks just about every single feature that all other popular platforms offer. They don't even offer a shopping cart to consumers, for crying out loud, and we saw the result of that, during what passed for their Summer Sale, a few weeks ago. Epic is promising some developer friendly features, like a review system, but they are giving developers the option to opt out of allowing reviews to show up on for their games. What kind of a review system is that?

Epic justifies the existence of their mess of a store by pretending to care about the revenue split between retailers and developers. Really, though, all they care about is taking market share away from all of the other platforms that they can't compete with. And, they can't compete with them because they aren't trying to improve their platform, at all; instead, they are coaxing over new customers to their mess of a platform by giving them an ultimatum to either buy their exclusives from them or wait a year to play them on other platforms. Epic's mess of a platform is developer friendly, and any new features that they offer will not be anything that their consumers will want. There is, literally, no reason for The Epic Game Store to exist, other than to cause mischief and mayhem in the PC marketplace. The Epic Game Store is a cancer to the PC and should be avoided. My recommendation to anybody who wants one of their exclusives is to wait it out... wait just a year or less and get the game on a reputable platform with features... one that is consumer friendly.

High Tech Theft!
June 27, 2020

I purchased my first $25.00 VBucks card from Game Stop with some birthday money. After setting up an Epic account and linking it with my Nintendo Switch Account, I entered the code from the card and shortly after credit appeared in my Epic Account. However, the credit has not appeared in my Fortnight Game. I sent a message to EPIC customer support, 24 hours later nothing. I sent another help ticket 24 hours after the first and was told to wait for a reply from the first one, and EPIC closed the second ticket. I feel like this is rip off. They take your money and don't give you what you pay for. I am looking for someone I can report them to. This is theft!

Scammers
June 19, 2020

Back in January, I purchased Borderlands 3, I had played it for a little while and took a small break to enjoy other games, however, upon coming back the game was in my library but said I needed to purchase it to continue playing it.
I contacted epic games and despite showing proof of bank transfer, it is in my library along with DLCs, and the additional sites the game was linked too they refused to take that as proof and stole my £60.
Do not buy from this company, the best use they hold is the free games they feature every now and then.

Live events should be made available to everybody. When you only broadcast them one time it becomes impossible to log in and many people miss them. Very poor planning on your part. I will reconsider any purchases with Epic Games.

Without even considering the general distaste of the company that put out the predatory child-scammer that is Fortnite, the platform is a mess. No reviews, awful load times for doing even basic actions, no ability to view your library online, practically nonexistent customer service, the list goes on and on. More and more I get infuriated by new games coming to other platforms that used to be Epic exclusives (a detestable practice), which now force me to launch them through the Epic launcher. It's become a dealbreaker for me, the platform is just that bad.

So disappointed
June 2, 2020

I just wanted a refund for a game that didn't work. The reason given to me for not getting the refund is that I "played" it for over two hours (I "played" it for 2h 30m, but only because 1h 30m were spent loading the game.) Once I realized the quality was VERY different from the demo, I wanted a refund. Now I'm 30 dollars short and I still can't play the game that I was dreaming about for so long.

Just offensive.
June 1, 2020

I had the unfortunate experience of believing this was a professional company.
My Nine year old daughter convinced me to buy V-bucks for Fortnite. Anyway she managed a week later to delete the game and lost the online product purchased. I didnt want a refund - just move it to her new account. Seems reasonable?
No chance, and no choice to get any kind of value. Parents stay away!

EPIC Games scam
April 2, 2020

I made the mistake of purchasing Metro Exodus from Epic Games. After finishing the game I then compounded the mistake by purchasing the DLC Sam's Story.
The game installed, but remained locked.

I contacted Epic Games to get it unlocked and they insisted that I send them all my personal information, including any social media I am subscribed to.

I then received an email from them informing me that there would be no refund since it has been two weeks since purchase and the game had been played for two hours.

I purchased the game three days ago and it couldn't be played at all because it was locked.

Epic Games is a spyware/scam site.

Avoid it and purchase from reputable gaming sites, such as Steam.
