Terrible delivery service

I placed my order on nov 11and the delivery was set for Nov 14 yet all I got was a sudden refund of 75% of my money on Nov 19. I have raised couple complains earlier enquiring about the shipmemt and was promised a quick same or next day delivery yet noting happened. I have never requested a refund andxaas shocked that they returned the items without even emailing me. The company appologized by offering a 20 dhs credit for future purchases!? Yet what about my missing 35dhs that never made it to my account? Worst experience ever and a poor poor management.

Souq.com is fake

They are cheating people by keeping some of the items with low price. When you order, you will add other items by impulse which are usually high priced. They will cancel the item you really wanted, that one with low price and deliver other low quality and highly priced items. They will cancel the low price item saying that the there is no stock or the supplier cancelled the order. This happened to me even after I paid for the item. So, careful with this site... They are scammers...
I was cheated on order # ************** for Dacom GF7 (proof attached. Item 5 was cancelled even after I paid for it)

Ordered quite a few items now from Souq and at least 3 of them have been damaged or have had stuff missing! I've also experienced the worst customer service ever in my life! I would definitely recommend you do not purchase anything from this site as you will be very disappointed.

Beware, most of the time Souq.com and it's vendors sell refurbished or repaired items labelling as new!
I have bought a battery equipped LG mini projector for my work from Souq a year ago and the battery was dead within 6 months. It supposed have 2 years warranty and when I contacted the customer care, their response was very bad. They were very ignorant and they were playing with me for a month. I had to spend around SR 100 for calling them but in vain.
Then I complained to Saudi Ministry of Commerce by leaving a voice note and my phone number on 1900. To my surprise, within 2 hours, someone called from the Ministry and took complete details of the problem! The very next day a Souq person called and apologised for the delay and the very next day they arranged the return pick up! Within five days, I have got the full refund into my Souq wallet. Lately someone called again from Ministry of Commerce and confirmed that my problem was resolved.
Thanks to Saudi Ministry of Commerce for taking the quick action.
Always, don't forget to complain to Ministry of Commerce. They really care us!

1. Unable to purchase as it doesn't give an option for delivery which is an address which I have been received many times before for orders. I did follow up after follow up but no use as irresponsible people attending the call and doesn't bother to take further resolution on the complaint
2. Customer service - Extremely poor... its now weeks since I complained... No one even bothered to give a call back to update... nor resolved...
3. Many of the products now I find much cheaper in the market and I dont see its worth doing shopping on line when you are supposed to be cheaper and reliable on cost effective purchases.

THIS COMPANY IS TRASH

This company in the UAE is trash. I bought facial toner and it was a knock off, and I have evidence of that, and they said that they will evaluate and don't sell knock off products when they clearly do.

ON TOP OF THAT. I ordered a facial cleanser that was supposed to be delivered the next day, and they messed up the area of delivery, even though it was specified, and now its over a week late. The customer service people on the phone are USELESS and act like victims.

Trust me when I say this but its better to not have the items you wish than to get them from souq. ABSOLUTE TRASH.

Poor

The idea of an online market app is not an original one, so this one does its job just okay as well, it's fully functional and intuitive. We deal with the app and think we are fine, but because it's a platform for all sorts of local sellers majority of which in the Arab Gulf have pretty low standards, Souq.com has little to no influence over how businesses handle us customers. The customer service communication is rather swift, but not very helpful or effective. I have an impression they live in their own universe. They have no control over the shipment or delivery times advertised on their website, they can't guarantee product quality nor facilitate proper communication between the seller and the customer. There is no possibility of a direct contact with the seller unless you file a complaint. After sale support is a drama. I find it hard to rate this business/app - hence, 1 star.

I bought a brand new laptop for my son's birthday, and it arrived defected, dead battery. I returned it back hoping to get a replacement, refund or at least warranty repairs. I was denied refund because the package the laptop was returned in wasn't the original, my bad. But even replacement was denied, and so it was taken for repair. A week goes by, no feedback, no status. The supplier doesn't seem to accept my communication request. Souq gives a long timeframe for repairs, 14 working days. I have to wait till end of the month and see, but will never buy expensive electronics ever again from Souq. They're good for small sports goods & kitchenware, but not electronics. No laptops, tablets, smart phones, smart TV etc

Bad Courier

Courier are dishonest. If they call you and you requested them for another time they will say "OK Sir". But then you would realized your shipment will be back to warehouse and they will just put in the system "Not Available at Location". Better if souq can give customer option to choose other reputable courier company (Aramex, DHL). Very bad experience. In the end they are good only for promises.

Been customer for Souq since 2010 but they are losing their customer. I have waited for 3 weeks, kept calling and no refund nor product is returned.

My money is gone and time. Don't buy from this pathetic company.

Delivery process is horrible since they dont announce when they will deliver an item so you can ditch all your plans and sit at home, wait for them. If you are not at home at the moment they decide to show up, good luck for the next day. Nobody can accept the item expect yourself.

Unbelievable this company has license to operate. How i was treated by them this is not legal. I am having 10 days delay and still hearing the same answers 'we are solving your complain, you will hear back asap, sorry!' and plus on the top customer service being rude. I am feeling like I was robed as I paid 3300AED for the Item I purchased. Cannot believe it suppose to be run by Amazon...

Placed an order a day before i went to uae for a vacation called souq 2 days after arriving to get update on my goods, gave me their word i would receive the parcel e nxt day but surprise surprise didnt get it, this went on for e nxt 2 days then today which happens to be my last day i received a call in the morning tt ey wld deliver the package said ok waited the whole day, called the office again only for them to nonchalantly tell me they are sorry but wont be able to deliver today tried to explain tt im leaving uae nxt day at 1am and desperately wanted the package and they still offered their lil apology and told me they cant do anything about it, terrible customer services will never shop here again

Inflates positive reviews by rejecting negative reviews. They do this sytematically and this shows intent. Also if you pay in cash and have an issue they will not refund in cash. Their customer service is non existent and if you do somehow get through you will just get load of rubbish and even lies blaming ministry to have been responsible for their poor policies. Their is no such a concept as resolving issues and complaints.
