After read the previews reviews, i decided not send my macbook pro to them, they offer me $ 475.00 for a 2011 macbook, i knew was too much for it... so decided check out reviews about this company, everyone told the same SCAM
I wish I found these reviews before I sent my 2 laptops to them. They gave me an estimate of 141.00 for each computer. They both powered up fine with no issues. Their so called inspection staff said they were worth 13. 00. 13. 00 for both, not each. This company, and I use that term very loosely, is nothing but con artists. They promise one thing but do not honor it. I should also mention that once you send them anything, it is non returnable. So you are at the mercy of these crooks. Save yourself the disappointment and sell it to a more honest person you meet on Craigslist who does his business in a dark back alley.
Please do not send your electronic devices to this company! They promise a nice pay out but, you'll never get your money.
Here's the process; you fill out an online form, they send you, via email, a pre-paid shipping label, you send your unlocked device. You wait for weeks after they receive your item (s), then they send you an email saying your device was of no use to them, therefore it has been recycled, i. E. no payout. When you call them, they claim they sent you dozens of emails giving you a certain number of days to reclaim your device. However, those prior emails do not exist... not in spam... nowhere... so bottom line, they chopped your device and sold the parts for profit! Advice, you are better off taking your device to a local store or donating it to a worthy cause and taking the tax deduction(if you itemize)
DO NOT SELL Your PHONES ECT... TO
Ecyclebest THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! I had a iPhone 6 I was selling to recycle best the phone was in perfect condition no scratches at all it was kept in a case and it worked great! On the website they told me I would get $381.00 for my iPhone 6. I got email that told me I would only get $58.00 for my phone! Ecyclebest will tell you one thing then do another! Do not trust this company they will give you a lot less than what they say they will! That is stealing in my book! DO Not WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! They need to be shut down!
Call *******143 if you need a phone number that gets answered. I was offered $95 online, then was told by email - only $5 after eCycleBest had received and inspected...
Spoke to Melanie in Purchasing. I was pleasant; she was pleasant, and we negotiated to $30. All things considered, I decided to accept the counter-offer and move-on...
I sent them two 5S iPhones. Both were in excellent condition. They were in an Otter Box since the day they were purchased. The estimated value from there website on the date they were mailed and on the date I received the email with their value was 147.00 each. The email I received this morning the offer was 23.00 and 22.00. I called them and talked with the Purchasing Department. The lady said the offer looked low and offered me 65.00 each. When I asked why the website showed a value of 147.00, her answer was that was for phones that were brand new and still in the original box. There shipment directions stated to only send the phones and their charges. I am having them returned so it will be interesting if I get back my phones and in the condition that they were mailed. BE CAREFUL AND DONT EXPECT TO GET WHAT THEY OFFERED ON THE WEBSITE.
If you want to get any money from your laptop or phone, take the time to research a local buyer instead. Worth it. This is a pure scam. My damaged laptop was priced at $70 which I knew was low but I figured it was on the fair side of things. I got $9. No explanation as to why.
I also received a quote in excess of $100.00 for an iPhone 5 (AT&T) and subsequently received notice that I would be receiving a check for $7.00. I sent an email the next day rejecting the offer and indicated that I wanted my phone back. NO REPLY and today I received a check for $7.00 that I will not cash. I am however submitting a complaint to the Department of Consumer Affairs with copies to The California Attorney General and my local Better Business Bureau.
The offer I received from them was for $103.00. I sent my phone in (in very, very good condition - no scratches, no damages...) I also included a $10.00 gift card with the phone they had sent me. So, I am expecting $113.00 for my phone. After 2 weeks, I received an email saying they were paying me $5.00 for my phone. I replied to the email and their response was, you must call purchasing. So I did. I was told my phone had scratches all over it and it was only worth $5.00. I told them to return my phone immediately. After 10 days, I have not received my phone, I called in and they said there was an issue with the entire shipment they sent out on 3/28 and the phone should be back to them by today 4/8 and it would be resent. I told them that at this point it needed to be overnighted to me and the response was, well, we will send it quicker than UPS ground, but we just don't know when it will get to you. I have sold phones to Usell and they always pay the amount in the initial offer.
Run, don't walk, do not send your device to them. I went with them instead of Usell because there offer was higher, lesson learned, go with a trusted company, not ecyclebest
Sold my laptop to them already told them about motherboard instans of the 50 dollar only give me 10 said more problem then motherboard. I had it check before I sent it the only problem was the motherboard. Even sent the charger too
I got ripped off! They stole my iPhone 5s, they said it was damaged, it wasn't! They said they will give $150.00 and it went down to $11, they didn't give me the phone or the money, not even the $11. Please listen it's a scam!
I was quoted $199 for a brand new Note 3, I had just gotten it through my insurance and ended up upgrading to an S6 Edge Plus. Did not need the phone. There was nothing wrong with it, and after weeks of them having the phone, they told me a check was in the mail for $25. How the hell does the value decrease THAT much!? Total scam, and I told them that too. They had NO comment back for the fact that I felt like I was being ripped off. HORRIBLE customer service on top of it. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
The website promised me $90+ for my phone. I sent it to them in the packaging they sent me. I receive payment of $9! When I tried to contact them by phone and email (good luck getting a live person by phone), I was given the run around. If I reached a human by phone, when I explained my reason for calling, I was put back into an endless automated system. Dishonest. No integrity. Go elsewhere.
Sent my laptop which had absolutely nothing wrong with I just wanted to upgrade to a new one they offered me $220 before I sent it and only $16 once they received it! I told them they better send it back, and received the laptop back completely screwed up, called them and they denied doing anything to it. Don't sell your electronics to this corrupt business!
THEY OFFERED ME OVER $400 FOR MY IPHONE 6 PLUS. I ACCEPTED AND SENT THEM MY PHONE. THEY THEN OFFERED ME $25 BASED ON CONDITION [ IT WAS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW] I TURNED THE OFFER DOWN AND THEY INCREASED IT TO $100. I HAD THEM RETURN MY PHONE AND I SOLD IT TO ANOTHER ONLINE PURCHASER FOR $350. BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY
I was quoted $99 for a iPad Mini 1 16gb with broken screen. After waiting 2 weeks on shipping and then 3 days on their slow "inspection" the offer was adjusted to $12. What a rip of. I highly recommend that they place more accurate estimates on the website. I'll have wasted 3 weeks now trying to sell this ipad. I am not happy. Do not recommend this service.
What a rip-off. They advised me that they would pay $125 for my used iPhone 5c. Instead they sent me a check for $5. When I called to complain, they said it was not in pristine condition. In fact, it was pristine with not a scratch and in perfect working condition.
Deal with them and get ripped-off like I did.
When I initially inquired, they quoted $125. Today, I got an email saying I would be getting $24! I immediately checked for reviews and found this site. Sadly, now I know. #whatasucker
Boy, I should have checked here before using this company. They quoted me $180 for my Ipad2 64gig wifi if it was in good condition. They just sent me $31 for it. Silly me, I forgot to read the FINE PRINT that said we'll send you an email with our official quote after inspection and you have 5 days to respond, otherwise you accept that price. I missed the email, and now I'm stuck. Don't trust these jerks - you'll lose money on the deal. I guarantee it!
I wanted to replace my battery on my iPad that died. I filled out there Web site and remark what was wrong and ecycle said I was going to get 150.00 back. After sending it in the report came back remarking that it would not turn on. Really? I reported it had a bad battery. And the said the buttons were bad. How would you know that if the battery was bad. So, I got 13.00 dollars back. I rather of donated it to non profit. Stay away from the scam Web site.
Answer: Would LOVE to get these crooks, maybe a legal aide group could take this on.
Answer: I am having the same issue, the phone number does not work its only a voicemail. They are acutally stealing our equipment through the mail. I just filed a compliant with the ATTORNEY GENERAL in NV. Everyone else should do the same.
