Stay away from this company. When you arrive at the airport there is no car! If you want to go ahead with a booking with the hire company (in our case Thrifty) you are asked for three times the amount quoted through this site. According to Thrifty staff in Orlando airport they had never even heard of Economy Car Rentals. Not good in the middle of the night feeling very vulnerable with children (one being disabled). On return home the lack of customer service was even more shocking. They take a deposit and let you down. Ruined the start of our once in a life time holiday. Any reviews that imply this company are legitimate are no doubt written by themselves. Steer Clear!

DON'T USE THEM
Booked a car with them and when i arrived the rental office was closed
They are refusing to refund my money claiming the office was closed even though i sent a photo of the closed office
They requested this stupid & irrelevant information:

A picture of the credit card presented upon arrival showing the first 6 numbers, names embossed on card and the expiry date;
A copy of the bank statement showing you had enough funds to cover the rental;
A copy of any receipts/documents/photos that are relevant to the customer's case;
A copy of the driving licence;
A copy of the boarding pass.
We would require this documentation to help us support any claim with the rental agent.

I was lead to believe that this was a car rental car company, but they are not. They are a middle man. Their website is difficult to understand and their contact details are not clearly visible. They do not pick up their phone when you ring and their is no answer phone service. I would not use them again and will now double check I am dealing with an actual car rental company. Once bitten twice shy.

This car rental booking partner is not providing the proper customer service. I had to make a second reservation for the same week and I had to pay them twice for the reservation cost. Once all the documents have been submitted, I received a notification that they are not able to provide a refund. It is a easy way to make money, so be aware of it.

I had a small damage on the Seychelles, left side scratched, 150 paid to the local car rentals company when I gave the car back. My interlocutress, Ms Lena. M, at ECR refunded that amount on my bank account yesterday, after having received all the required documents. I had a franchise coverage.
She has been very reactive and efficient. Thank you.
I like and recommend this company. I use this service more than 5 yaers. Always I have great experience and no any problems.
Sometime ago I had accident first time. My windshield find a small stone on a high way road and I've get small scratch. Book company change windshield as a result.

I made a booking at Mexico City airport with Economycarrentals. I received a confirmation that the booking had been accepted by Enterprise. When we arrived at the airport there were NO CARS AVAILABLE. Enterprise stated that they did not confirm the booking and in fact hadn't had any cars available for weeks.
We had to get a car to complete our onward journey and were forced to rent a car from Avis at great expense. As a result, we lost over $1500!
EconomyCarRentals has refused to accept responsibility and seems to have a policy of stalling when it comes to customer service.
If you use this company, you risk a fake booking!

Very good answer from Economy Car Rentals in order to have the refund amount as soon as possible, as I had a franchise coverage.
UDATE***
Economycarrentals did get back to me following my review. I had made a mistake in my email address which is why I could not access the booking. However, whilst it was my mistake I sent numerous emails (from correct email address!) with the booking reference and received no response until I reviewed on this site. Hopefully there won't be any further problems!
I booked a 9 people car two days ago but have heard nothing. The deposit has been taken from my bank account. When I try and log into my booking it states "login invalid" I have emailed 3 times asking whether I have a booking or not but get no response. I was booking this for a large group and we are now all really worried as to whether or not we even have a vehicle. I honestly wish I'd never booked through this company

We answer all the emails we receive as soon as we can. In this case, due to the Christmas period and high demand, there was a delay in our replies via emails (response received after 3 days).
You could always contact us at our call center that we support 24/7 in order to get prompt assistance and be sorted out this case immediately.

Have been charged for a reservation I could not find in my email.
Have written an inquiry about the charge and the answer right came after too many emails, when it was too late to cancel without a penalty.
Extremely disappointed!
They were very organised. So the paperwork etc went quick during handover. However their deposit is very high. However, the overall experience was very good and I will definitely recommend them.
Our car came through Thrift via Economy car rentals. We got an immediate upgrade just because there was one available (we didnt ask). The prices very reasonable. No hidden costs. No bull$#*! insurance fiddles... great service... friendly and professional service. Couldn't ask for more. Brilliant!
The price was great, the service at the airport was fast.
The accident treatment was quick, the appraiser arrived in an hour and a half to a remote village in the mountains
Definitely recommend highly!
When booked a fare was shown, which differt VERY MUCH from the one we had to pay as we picked up the car at the airport.
After contacting the customer Service, we did not receive any Response from their side.
I will never use the Service again

I recommend dealing with the company and will book next time on their way.
I pickup the small simple Opel Corsa, which was simple and very economical in rental cost (just 64Euro for 3 days) and in fuel (another 62 Euro for 780 km). It was a small line in the Ternimi, Roma Central Station (~30 minutes) ans another 20 minutes to find the parking and starting the driving. Actually, no more problems. The drop-off at the Fiumicino, Roma was very simple after I was able to find the drop-off location.
We had an accident in our trip and the company was very kind and helpfull with us. They refunded all our cost and gave us full suport. Im very happy and pleased with the company. For now on i will just rent a car with economycarrentals!
