They've always done me right. No red tape about having a major credit card. Cash and debit cards are just fine by them. I was in a bind when a franchise car rental center changed their policy and decided prepaid cards weren't good enough.

Terrible company, cancelled 2 hire cars at the beginning of lockdown. I called and was promised a refund in 90 working days at the end of March2020. I accepted this rather than take a voucher. Way over 90 days now and still waiting. They closed the phone lines down for refunds and reply to emails with copy and paste text saying they've changes their policy to do with 'acts of god, pandemics etc' and also say they do not refuse refunds, presumably to get out of a insurance payouts too. (Do not get confused with EconomyCover with similar colour scheme on their logo/website). Will try and complain to ombudsman.
We needed a car on short notice and went to EconomyBookings having had previous good experiences with them.
When I made a reservation for Burns Harbor location and arrived to learn they had Zero cars, and they handy called other locations to even find me one, I called Merrillville and they got my reservation transferred and us into a free upgrade into a very nice car.
Took a jeep Cherokee for 2 weeks and because of them I ended up buying the car. Well maintained cars, affordable prices and very helpful staff.
As of that wasn't enough, he was so king as to look for glasses I left in the vehicle. I'm suggesting there be something extra in his paycheck... every week.

When I first read the reviews I was amused. My experience was good. Nothing bad to say. There are couple of sites like this that I am aware of and this is as good as the others. I used this because it gave me the best deal. The biggest bonus that I see when comparing with economycarrentals.com is that you can choose the provider/rental company, the minus is that you have to pay the total price, but eventually you need any way. I have rented car hundreds times and would go any time through site like that because over that time I have never got better deal through the rental company and I have not had any issues with that.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
