Order a car through the componey for family vacation. When arriving to pick the car the rental componey ( ECH) refuse to give a car when claiming that names on documents not match But they had no problem to give a new car order with more than double the price i made with Economybooking. When asking the money back (pre payment and full coverage i already paid) they refuse to do so while i didnt got the car and hiring never was done.- shamless and sad that such componeys exist and give such poor service

Today when trying to pick up the car from Carwiz, I was told that the insurance coverage I bought is not valid in this company and I must buy their insurance which is 30 EUR/day. And any minimal scratch will be valued at minimum of 1800 EUR and I will be charged immediately charged for this if such thing happens. In the end I refused to take the car with those horrible terms.
As a result my day was wasted as I ended up in 10+ hour bus rides. I was clearly misled by the Carwiz and it the responsibility of Economybookings to handle this miscommunication.
I wanted a full refund of my money and my time but the support keeps telling me nonsense

Do not make a reservation from this website. Because even if you make the cancellation on time and in accordance with the rules, they do not refund your payment, they keep it in a place they call "Wallet".
If they stated this from the beginning, there is no problem. But they don't.
This website is a kind of fraud. I have not received a refund for the case I will describe below for more than 4 months. And their support team never responds, they are very good at spinning the ball.
Their scam operating profits may be more than their actual operating profits.
STORY:
On 24 February 2024 I rented a car through the economybookings.com website.
Before renting, I checked for free cancellation. 2 days before the free cancellation date, on 26 February 2024, I cancelled the booking due to a change in my schedule.
I then saw that the refund was made not to my credit card but to a place they call "Wallet".
I wrote to Economybookings.com about this through various channels, but you gave me answers like "you can still cancel" "check our cancellation policy". The problem has not been solved for months. They haven't refunded my money for months.

I found it to be most economical to rent a car from Raleigh NC airport. Otherwise everything is the same as with other rental companies.

This is similar to the negative experiences/feedbacks given by many consumers, only to find out in their horror that Full Coverage is not recognized by the rental company and the process is long and tedious with the team from EconomyBooking.

I paid all the fees and insurance in advance and when I tried to pick up the car they wanted to charge me double, claiming non-mandatory fees and insurance. They do not respond to my contact and do not return the money. Be careful with them

I paid extra to rent an automatic. Rental day comes and no car is available. I submitted a claim that day and here we are, 28 days later with no refund. Run-around stall tactics. Totally unprofessional and unethical behavior.

Your website is very unfriendly and confusing.
The refund should not be with your company credit. You keep the customer hostage if their plans change for any reason. You loose for the future. You should not afraid of thier return if you belive your service id good.

At our arrival, the rental company just didn't accept my debit card as security deposit for an unknow reason! That's never happened to me with the 4 last rental companies i used. So to avoid the security deposit, they forced me to buy an expensive "full coverage insurance" who's totally useless because i have an insurance included with my debit card. I explained them for hours but they would do anything for help and just said, "if you cancel, you lose your pre payment.
It's just a scam and they totaly know it, they said that happend often!
I wish you can offer me a compensation for this terrible experience!

This company is a big scam regarding the full coverage insurance purchased from them. The insurance you buy from them is not recognized by the rental company and you end up paying for the insurance once more when you pick up the car. So if you choose to rent a car through them, I advise you not to buy any insurance from them because it is a waste of money and the insurance must be bought directly from the company that rents the car. Unfortunately, I didn't know this and paid the insurance twice

I was able to rent the same car at a discount to my loyalty program by booking through Economy Bookings.
Economy car rentals are budget friendly, and mostly new or with low mileage. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
I am happy with happy their service.
Location, easy to find.

When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
