Out of stock issues

I was reviewing your website and selected "notify me when back in stock". I received an email that the product is in stock and rushed to order. After I placed the order then I got a notice that the product was out of stock and they would hold my order until it arrived (estimated 12+weeks). This is unacceptable practice. Totally misleading and makes me loose confidence in your website.

Hello Brian,
I apologize that the center caps you purchased are out of stock. It looks like we have one on the shelf, but since you purchased a set of four, we have to wait for all four to become available. Your order is still in the system and will remain there; you will not be charged until the item becomes available and is back in stock. The only action taken was an authorization on the funds, which normally falls off within a few days. In the meantime, you can absolutely contact us to see if we have an alternate product or if you find something else to replace this with.

HONEST BROKERS ONE AND ALL

Updated review

Salesman and curstomer service woman both made my day. Needed to get a replacement rack & pinion for my '57. Learned my original from 2013 might be covered. New one comes with a lifetime. Original made by ATSCO Manufacturing - no longer in business. Not Ecklers fault. I've been buying from Eckler's for decades. I rode home in my '57 brand new day one. Never been disappointed in Ecklers.

Lost sales for you!

You advertise stuff in stock that you don't even have in stock! Out of the 15 times I've called you wanting to place an order.
I was only able to get three things and i'm not even a hundred percent sure they will work. The person I was dealing with was very nice and helpful.

I'm sorry if you were unable to order everything you wished due to a lack of inventory. We try our best to keep inventory in stock and direct ship products to consumers when we can. However, if you are using an old, outdated catalog to reference your shopping list, that can contribute to the problem, as we have made some changes over the last two years and just started printing catalogs again with accurate information. You can purchase one on Ecklers.com for your reference.
