Great site otherwise, too many people run ads so sometimes when you search for a product it's hard to find exactly what you are looking for.

If you have not heard yet several executive level employees at eBay conducted a multi month Schmeer and harassment campaign against a married couple due to their negative reviews about eBay. The criminal acts included sending a severed bloody pig head to the couples residence and acting as the couple posting sexual advertisements on social sites. This is yet another example of the technocrats believe they are superior to average Americans. It takes the average American, and all of the average Americans, to boycott eBay and truly create change that would benefit the common citizen of America.

I ordered a DVD I'll cry tomorrow in June 2020. The seller provided tracking information about the delivery. I informed Ebay that I never received my package by mail. Ebay opened a case file and emailed me today that they refused to honor my payment/replace my purchase. I've checked my mailbox every day since the delivery status. Ebay rather lose my buying power instead of correcting this matter. Shame on Ebay! GOOD BYE EBAY

I ordered cleaning supplies for my business at an exorbitant price. 5 never were shipped. 2 were broken. 3 were fine. I took pictures of the wet moldy box and 2 broken bottles. Seller will not respond after 3 times with pictures. EBay will not refund my money for the 7 bottles.

Got scammed by a seller who sold me a fake designer item. Paid £800+ for worthless rubbish. EBay was so unhelpful and gave conflicting advice. This dragged out the process, caused unnecessary stress and confusion. I'm still fighting for my refund until today. But the seller is allowed to continue defrauding buyers. After this experience, I will NEVER buy anything from eBay again. AVOID seller ewelcia******* - she will STEAL your money!

Never again
June 29, 2020

I will never ever use ebay again. I have enjoyed purchasing a few things on ebay, but recently I bought two antique chairs. Tried to return them. The seller argued with me. I felt like if I didn't like them there was no issue - just send me back the money. The pictures which were SOOOOO much better than the actual product were truly a disgrace. I am done with ebay.
If it seems too good to be true, it more than likely is!

Misrepresentation
June 23, 2020

Ordered from photo on page! The product was not what was on site. I sent back per their request. It arrived on the day they said. They sent product back to me, say it did not arrive within time allotted. I have the tracking proof.
I learned they do not honor what they say!

No customer service
June 17, 2020

Ebay customer service is nonexistent. Several calls to fix issues and they tell me to go to the seller. Ebay has the wrong information in the system trying to charge me return shipping when the seller acknowledges they sent the wrong item and Ebay should not charge for a return shipping label. Several calls with customer service (Over Seas) and no help. Corporate does not provide any upper-level assistance and apparently no oversight. I will be moving my business away from Ebay.

Selling on eBay
June 9, 2020

There is no denying eBay is a great platform for selling unwanted clutter and earning yourself some extra money in doing so... However and be warned!

If there is a dispute with regard to your sale on eBay... eBay will always rule in favour of the buyer. Which in turn determines that following your eBay sale. You are exclusively relying on the honesty of the buyer. Do not be fooled by any claim eBay make about offering seller protection. They don't! And unless you can prove without unreasonable doubt the integrity of your listing which is nigh impossible. EBay will always refund the buyer even if the item you sell and especially if you post, is new, boxed, and wrapped. Remember you have to prove what the buyer received through the post was also new, boxed, and wrapped. Simply you can't

I strongly advise you never to sell a high-value item on eBay. If the buyer disputes your sale eBay will side and refund the buyer. No matter how high the value of your item To rub salt further into the wound. You will have to pay the return postage. Only sell what you can afford to lose or won't really miss, however, frustrating this may be in the event of you being scammed. I should add I am aware there are rogue sellers on eBay. They mostly sell counterfeit gear

To re-iterate eBay can be an easy way to de-clutter and earn money. List honestly and always take multiple photos from every angle of the product you are selling. Always obtain and keep postal receipts and advertise the fact you do. It may help detract the scammers but in itself is no prevention you will be scammed or having eBay side against you in a dispute. If you have any doubts about the integrity of a buyer and I understand this can be difficult. Don't post your item. In return, you will almost certainly receive negative feedback and eBay may well take action against you. So what it's better to be safe than sorry!

Before I conclude I should add. If you do have the misfortune of having to deal with eBay customer services. Be prepared for automated replies to your queries, and or receiving emails from eBay without the option of replying to said email.

I hope the above is of help. I am myself an eBay buyer and seller for nearly 15 years, and yes I have been scammed on a few occasions examples being swopping identical scratched CD discs, returning identical scratched LPs, etc etc. Although once I did catch a scammer out. He claimed he posted my item back to me but stupidly left a false tracking number. Which I proved was not a genuine Royal Mail tracking number. EBay grudgingly accepted I was a victim and I did not end up out of pocket

Do I list items of high-value on eBay?... No because despite the temptation my item may be viewed many times thus increasing the chance of receiving more money? I am very aware that the higher the value of an item the higher the chances an item will attract and tempt the scammers.

Want to warn everyone to buy from supplier globalfactory1891. I bought a cutting plotter with 2 years warranty. After 6 months it broke. After 3 months of mailing back and forth, globalfactory1891 arranged a transport company to pick up the plotter. When the machine reached globalfactory1891 warehouse they said that the machine was scrap and that I could only get 80% of the machine's value. I should be happy that I was able to use the machine for 6 months according to globalfactory1891. Have a hard time understanding how 2 years warranty can mean that globalfactory1891 can't offer me an equivalent plotter that works or the whole sum back so I can buy from another supplier. I can't buy an equivalent plotter for 80% of the value. In my last email where I asked them to send back my broken machine and money to the repair so I can fix it, they did not reply to that email. They now have the machine, do not want to replace me with a working machine and do not want to pay back what the machine cost. To me, it looks like fraud. Is this a supplier ebay wants customers to be fooled by? Help me with this provider and warn them of their behavior towards customers, if it doesn't help, close their account so they can't fool any more customer. I'm certainly not alone in being badly treated by warranty cases by globalfactory1891

Bought a Reman Cardone 31-******* Distributor fits 1988-1992 Toyota Land Cruiser 4.0L-L6 from them, it lasted about 180 miles, not sure what failed but i think it could second grade parts, and also said 30 day return policy, very weak on part that should last for years.

I'm thinking as I'm writing about the pros and cons. I've been a seller and am currently a buyer on EBay. Hands down it is a buyers market currently; a plethora of sellers with wonderful items selling at below market rates. The sellers that I buy from are professionals from small to large businesses. I always agree with reading feedback before you buy from a seller. I'm not sure how sellers are enjoying the market, but I will find out soon enough. Again!

Order something for someone for their birthday. After three weeks the seller still hadn't sent the item because eBay never sent them the money. They kept the seller waiting which meant he kept me waiting all the while the birthday I was trying to get the present for came and left. We are in the age of instant transfer and eBay still takes forever to give sellers their money. Stick to amazon, etsy, and shoptify for quality service.

I was scammed on eBAy by a buyer who has more than 4000 reviews in Jan 2020. He made claim that my gaming laptop and charger was missing and charge back me. Everything else was in the package. I believe he took them out then took pictures of it and then open up a case which i lost. EBay refused to help me and told me to go to PayPal. PayPal also just yesterday favor the buyer and wont help me out at all. USPS said since he send the item back to me cause eBay told him to, i cant claim insurance no more. I have receipt of the shipping with the weight but doesn't help. If your selling on eBay go somewhere else. There will be no help for you if you get scammed. DO NOT TRUST tech2upcrepair. HE IS A SCAMMER!
