Ebay unreasonably suspended my account even though I had 100% positive feedback from customers.
They wanted me to provide tracking numbers and positive feedback from customers. I spent 3 days working to provide them with these materials. In the end, my account was definitely restricted for sale.
Here are the reasons not to sell on eBay:
1) They can cancel your sales account at any time for no reason, even if you did nothing wrong and you still have 100% positive feedback from customers.
2) You must pay the fees even if you return the money to the buyer.
3) They let buyers open the case, even if the delivery time has not yet expired. You must return the money to the buyer, for example, 3 days after purchase, even if the delivery date is 21 days. Good news for buyers! If you want to get things for free, shop on eBay, because eBay always takes money from sellers and returns it to you!
4) eBay cheats on the seller. They wrote to me that if I send positive feedback, tracking numbers and paid the fees, sou they will renew my sales rights. Of course, this did not happen.
5) Customer service is appalling. It will cut off communication with you even though your issue is not resolved.
6) You will lose money. You buy goods, you list products. You count on selling on eBay. In the end, you end up without goods, becouse you refund money customers across eBay and eBay totally ruins your business.
7) Waste of time and constant technical problems that
It will take your nerves away. EBay made from me an idiot when they forced me to get them materials to renew my account. All the time, eBay was cheating on me, just to pay them fees, and then they wrote me that it was definitively revoking my sales privileges.
I don't understand how some customers can complain here. Ebay will always refund money to you at the expense of sellers.
I'm definitely done with eBay. They are cheaters!
Having here the best time of my live every time I open the app! Recommend to everyone who's seeking for quality and low price
I've sold quite a few items on Ebay.
And I buy stuff on Ebay all the time.
I hate Amazon.
However... I would say that it's safer to buy than sell on Ebay.
I would never sell any high dollar item because there are too many scammers out there.
I order part from ebay when i check out ibm see $10 discount for shiping after i enter all my credit card than took me to free shiping company.
I dont get it how ebay allow this scam continue.
Ibm know they arent respinsible for other advertise but at time of cheching out up get message for $10 free shiping than up get scam
Every time I try to buy something on eBay I must go through the process of changing my password. In addition, changes are made to the website without notification. We sell on ebay and none of us are notified when they change the system. Sometimes the changes are significant.
Buyer did not return an item, and now eBay have decided to Rob me of Close to £500! To refund the fraud buyer. Customer service Is horrendous.
You can find anything on there and the purchase is guaranteed. Prices are fantastic and shipping is usually FREE. I have purchased a lot of quality and also hard to find items on Ebay. If you are a collector it makes a good starting point for your search.
I am a phone case maniac and I swap them at least two times a day. That's why I need a regular case supplier and this is ebay. Always satisfied with the delivery, and wide variety of sellers and goods. I can always find the best offer to purchase. You will get five star when u redesign your website, I think It's kinda boring.)
If anyone deserved 0 or even minus rating it is eBay. I was a member for years and I decided to sell some things, mostly digital goods. I got all the positive feedback and one day they just suspended my account out of nothing. I assume competition reported it and I heard they are protecting big sellers and fights small ones. I experienced that on my own skin. So long story short, they asked me to provide tons of documents which I didn't want and then they said I can't sell anymore there, my account will remain suspended because I am a risk. A risk? For whom? I asked for explanations and to tell me what I did wrong and what is going on. They answered that I never did anything wrong but they have to suspend me because I am a risk.
They can suspend you out of nothing, with all positive feedbacks only because bigger sellers decide to report you. Without any proof, without answers, without explanations. Just like that. Incredible, awful, disgusting, and the worst site I have ever visited. Stay away from them, do yourself favor as you don't need that stress in your life. Do not buy and do not sell. I hope they will bankrupt one day. At least, I managed to cancel my auto payment option on Paypal so I haven't paid the fees for the last month.
I have both negative and positive experience, I got an item which was cheaper and I've paid much and it was sent from China, the rest of experience was great, nothing else happens bought few items and everything went okay, so I guess 1% of purchases is bad but over the year, I have a great experience. Overall good experience
After 7+ years, 1000's of transactions, 100% feedback, top rated status, etc... their support for buyers is fine, assuming the buyer is the least bit responsible, but terrible for sellers, even if you are perfect/flawless they expect you to take losses when nothing is your fault, they do everything to protect themselves first, then the buyer, and seller comes last 99% of the time. Buyers easily get what they want but sellers are denied justice and held hostage by "departments" that will not take calls (afraid to deal with "us").
And the worst part is, even if you do what an "agent" says, they can still rob you blind with their automated system, and are forced to wait forever for their appeals department to get back to you, costing you more time than the item was even worth, and even then no guarantees.
Purchased an item from queso_96 on ebay, then realized the picture wasn't the same as the description, so, I contacted the seller, I was given the run around and basically, and the request to cancel the order was ignored, and a tracking number generated anyway! I was told by this company to then refuse the package when it arrives and when they receive it they will issue my refund. The package was refused, however, this company had still yet to honor their word and eBay's policies. I have messages.
Variety of items with your every need Selection and pricing are unmatched Easy return policy and no hassle
They suspended me indefinitely for no reason after creating an account to buy a product. They have told me that there is ''risky activity'' in my account right after I purchased a product and refused to explain it any further even though I have just created the account. They also refused to give me a refund for my item and I have no clue if they will send it to me or not.
I have been in contact with their customer service for two days and they have been blatantly rude even though all my emails were polite, they have no interest in solving my issue even though I have done nothing that breached their guidelines, apparently buying an item from their site is a risky activity, can't say I disagree at this point since I just lost my money for no justifiable reason at all.
If you care about your money do not buy anything from this site because they frankly don't care for their customers.
Don t bother ipening an account because they will suspend it as soon as you re posting something for sale.
They suspend mine with no reason and now they refuse my right to delwte the account as i don t nothing to do with this company anymore!
I recently purchased a treadmill on Ebay and had a horrifying experience! Not only did I not receive the treadmill, it was delivered to someone else and they refused to refund my money. I had the tracking number and took it to my local post office. They were able to tell me the address my package was shipped to and the date. The package was for an item that weighed. 65 ounces, hardly the weight of a treadmill. The seller insisted that the product was delivered and had me suspended from Ebay for filing a claim even though I have the proof from the post office that it was not delivered. This is an extremely risky sight and morally and ethically wrong. People work hard for their money and to be taken advantage of like this is truly disgusting. I discourage anyone from using Ebay.
I ordered one single tailgate through Ebay. They doubled the order and the parts distributor sent two tailgates. They authorized a return, but it would cost me as much as the tailgate to ship it back. I have tried endlessly to contact ebay since they are the ones who doubled the order. Of course, you can't get any help or human help.
I WILL NEVER USE EBAY AGAIN.
Goods were never delivered and buyer said they had evidence they were - I was in all day, as I have been in lockdown, and they were NOT delivered. Ebay said the onus was on me to contact the courier. Under the Consumer Contract Regulations my contract is with the seller, the seller has to contact the courier. However Ebay insisted so I emailed courier asking for photographic and signatory evidence of where the item was "delivered". They did not reply to 3 emails. I am without the goods, know I don't have them, and the seller gets away with my £12. Ebay impossible to deal with and I have closed my account. Do not deal with them.
Whenever I wanted to use anonymized browsers like a modded Firefox Ebay would harass me with endless security checks which waste a lot of time to complete if possible at all. Heck, even my online bank does not force me through all that kind of nonsense!
Great site with a lot of products. Pros: delivery, products, prices. Cons: too many ads. Before choosing any seller I recommend you to read reviews.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
