This is definitely the most user-friendly site.
There are a lot of relevant offers, prices for every taste, I am definitely satisfied with everything.
While it is possible to find some irresponsible Seller, for the most part, this is an awesome site if you are looking for a collectible or antique. I have been a buyer since 2005 and have gotten wonderful deals and rare antiques from this site. I have also found some amazing international Sellers of rare German Christmas collectibles. And the Sellers that reach out to you and offer a great deal on something you have "watched" is a great option I often accept. I would agree with some of the comments about the ability to reach the Ebay if you do have a problem, hope they remedy that. From this Buyer, I love the antiques I can find. Thanks to those awesome Sellers!
This is a ZERO star review by the way.
After being on eBay for 21 years it's time for me to pull the plug. This company is absolutely awful what with its greedy fees, absolute pathetic and horrible customer service and most importantly now they even want your social security number to sell an item.
That was a final straw for me. You are not my boss, I do not work for you and you are not my bank so what gives you the right to want my social security number?
I will not give eBay any more of my time or business. Even after I pulled all of my auctions off of eBay, even as a buyer they blocked me from even sending a message to somebody who I bought from recently and I had to spend an hour on the phone to try and sort that out to which I was told this might be resolved in 48 hours.
It's sad to see a company go from being brilliant to just having no ethics and being completely greedy.
I've used eBay for 20 years.
Great place to get rid of stuff you don't want but it's not a place for business. Bad customer service and you will lose money sooner or later. Place for buyers not sellers.
Theres no wonder amazon and ebay are very similar but ebay is falling apart. There customer service is horrible and will not help you for anything. They hit you with unknown fees and then customer service wont do anything about them. Go sell on any other site. If anything goes wrong on your account customer service will not help you at all.
Ebay commits fraud! Twice they have changed the Guaranteed Delivery date after the item was delivered late so they could cheat their customers of the $5 late penalty. I called customer no service and they refused to do anything about it other then submit a complaint! They admitted they could see that the computer changed the date! They even tried to LIE and say it was an estimated date. Estmated are what normal delivery is this was GUARANTEED. What a joke! Another corporation screwing its customers, because they think they are big enough that they can get away with it, so Im letting people know what crooks they are! Item #*******229 is the latest Fraud.
My first experience with eBay is not very good. Recently purchased a camera for my brother i'm not satisfied!
Bought a tilt bed, never took it sent it back to sender, and can't get a refund. They suck, watch your money. I lost 133.66
The short version is that I logged into eBAY, UPDATED MY MAILING ADDRESS, purchased an item, and they told me they would send it to an old address they had populated from elsewhere.
I immediately informed them, and eBay said, we don't care, tell the seller.
Their contact info for the seller was inaccurate, so I had to hunt them down. I found the seller and contacted them, and they said we don't care, we're going to mail it to this old address eBay supplied.
I contacted the post office, but they said the shipper had not made available any means to intercept or redirect the package, even if I paid extra.
The item was lost forever. EBay said the seller probably didn't see my message until after it was sent - but the seller replied to my message, which was sent within at most 20 minutes of seeing that eBay intended to ship my package to a wrong address rather than the one I had given them. The seller ("my-best-source") literally told me they were going to send it to the wrong address. It wasn't shipped until the following day. They stole $70+ from me, and gave me nothing in return.
Please never, ever try to buy anything from eBay, and certainly not from "my-best-source." You will regret it. They automatically generate fake 5-star reviews when you place an order! My experience - the most awful customer service experience I've ever had - generated fake 5-star reviews. They then don't let you rate the company that cheats you for at least a full week, by which time most people have forgotten.
Go to a reputable company like Amazon instead - or better yet, find small, independent sellers rather than experienced but dying corporate cheats like the ones who run eBay.
Ebay allows buyer to fraud. I have a current situation where I am being frauded and ebay is not doing anything. In fact as a seller you really have no protection! Scammers who buy a product, request a return, then after you go through it, the buyer admits you are right and demand a partial refund. Wait what? This is what is wrong with the world today. Ebay wants me to pay them for using they're platform but essentially is allowing fraud to occur. Wait what? Yes fraud. I am being scammed and ebay has not helped at all! So I would not recommend anyone to ebay. For buying or selling. This situation has caused so many problems in my life. Every purchase and sale is a gamble. And ebay is condoning fraud to occur to their sellers.
Been an E-Bay customer for over 17 years with a 100% rating, and will "" NEVER "" try to sell again as they have turned into a "" RIP OFF COMPANY "", instead of an auction company, have bought and sold cars for years on eBay, but has been awhile. Listed a 1964 Ford F250 for sale just the other day, "" UNDER AUCTION "" "" NOT BUY IT NOW PRICE "" and it said to start with a low price to draw in buyers, so I did and within an hour had over 60 hits on it """" BUT THEY SOLD IT TO THE FIRST BIDDER AT THE STARTING PRICE """" then they have set up a new way to get the buyers money ( even though I have always requested PayPal) called " escrow " where they take the money from buyer and hold it (I am sure they are drawing interest) and hold your money until the buyer gets around to picking up the vehicle and decide if he wants it and gives them the OK to send you notice the money is available to be transferred "" AS LONG AS YOU PAY THERE $10.00 TRANSFER """ FEE ''' ON TOP OF THE ALREADY NEW REDECULIS CHARGES FOR LISTING
04 Bmw e65 valve cover no response to complaint
Purchased Oct. 30,2020 Need refund for unusable part
Good sellers, great communication, i will order again. I personally love ebay not sure what all the hate is about.
Recently, ebay had a message in my account stating they were updating to managed payments as their relationship with Paypal is ending. When I complied, it ended a listing I had that would have sold in 2 days. Their system then applied fees for this listing THAT THEY ENDED to my account. Supposedly they will no longer allow the sale of bullion as of this moment there are exact listings on their site. Previously, near covid I was going to list a small amount of masks that I had. I received a message that they were restricting the sale of these items when there was listing after listing on their website. I have had it with ebay! They are another company that has gotten too big and people need to start leaving in droves until they get the message that they need to start caring about how they treat sellers and buyers.
Ebay is allowing sellers to repackage used parts and selling parts as new. I asked for a full refund. Ebay said yes then immediately emailed a return request. A full refund will hurt the seller in their prison wallet to never take advantage of buyer's. Fresh helicoils and damage on arrival.
I started selling on ebay to get rid of a milk glass collection. I was scammed by a buyer who would not send pictures of the damaged item I shipped her and they she asked ebay to step in even though I had been on the phone with them multiple times following exactly what they told me to do, but even though they knew that I didn't have what I needed for insurance, they told the buyer to send the shattered glass and unbroken items back in one box. When I called them because I wasn't able to get the insurance since the buyer didn't provide what I needed, and told them they were instructing the buyer to send back shattered glass with the unbroken part of the item, they told me it was not their problem and they would not help me.
Fast forward to shipping the item. I changed the address on my account and even have a confirmation email stating that it was changed. They had the buyer ship it back to a past address. When I called them to ask for assistance, they told me that I needed to contact USPS even though I shipped the package to the buyer UPS and work with them to get it. Now I am out the item and the insurance money because eBay would not pay attention to my previous conversations before they sided with the scam buyer and have now taken the money out of my account to reimburse the buyer even though I don't have the package and even though I just spoke with them last night and was told they were extending the time to refund until I could get resolution for the lost package. If you are selling valuable items, do not use an ill reputed company like ebay as you will definitely be screwed by them. They make money off of the seller but treat us as we are the villians.
E bay phone number not working no more. Can not get ahold of e bay... out of control sellers... now... good luck with e bay... now a junk company...
Worst service ever. Unprofessional, Incompetent to make fair and informed decisions, No way to speak with someone. Do not use EBay.
I think you should probably look at their reviews before purchasing something from eBay and then buy it because I bought a led trip light for my fish tank and found it broken and no replacement was guaranteed as well.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
