I had a terrible experience as a seller. I sold an item internationally using ebay international shipping and ebay somehow put a wrong destination on the label and thus sent the item to the wrong address. Unsurprisingly, the item was never found and ebay, conveniently refunded the buyer charging my account! I called 5 times and every time it took them only a few minutes to admit that it was Ebay's fault, not the buyer nor the seller. However, they never refunded my money which is really unfair. I vowed I will never use ebay any more. This is not how companies should do business.

EBay offer next to no support for its sellers. Seller fees are extremely high with eBay able to increase them per account for no reason at their discretion. Fees are on top of postage as well as taking a percentage of postage costs. Customer support can often turn out to be a pit of frustration. Treats sellers as disposable. Selling on eBay can often be very stressful and anxiety inducing.

Ebay is a total lottery, ones you receive fast and correct order, once you never receive it. Also a lot of fakes out there. I prefer stability, that's why I order here not very often

Disappointed

I have always been a good customer on ebay.com and eBay have always given me good Customer Service and good merchandise but not today. On October 10,2021 I purchase a Black Forest Wooden Cuckoo Clock with Roman Numerical, Dancing figures, turning water mill and couple kissing very romantic wouldn't you agree, that what the seller name Yugongg and Yun *******y-0 show me on October 10,2021. A musical cuckoo clock with moving figures. This did not cost me thousand of dollars
But only $37.99 on ebay.com. The merchandise arrived today on time and in one piece but, I am
Sad to say it did not chimenea, no cuckoo bird came out nor did it made a sound at all. I am sending it back for Refund.

I have been with Ebay since 1999. It has become the most dishonest, uncaring company there is. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! And how dare you be a seller. They find ways to hurt the seller. Its all about the money. And they are not earning theirs. They do not respond to sellers issues. Honesty is not a considered important there. I'm just praying they get a few more class action law suits sent their way. Need details or proof of what I say please feel free to contact me. Take care all

I ordered a new Tektronics oscilloscope from a seller in Dubai. What the seller sent was an entirely different device that was severely damaged. I contacted the seller and they said to send it back. When I asked for a shipping label, the communications went silent. Three emails later there was still no response. EBay customer Service sent them an email and the seller responded "working on it." I asked eBay for my money back and they rejected my claim because I had received a package from the seller. Unbelievable!

The pictures show the picture advertised of the oscilloscope advertised and the device received along with the shipping box. EBay thinks they are the same thing.

I have not found a site that has more of a selection for cheaper, not even Amazon can beat it! I recommend it to everyone. For some reason they got a bad rap I think because in the beginning a few people did not get their items but I have not had a problem in over a decade. I get everything that I pay for and eBay is very aggressive at going after sellers that are not legitimate

EBAY has become COMPLETELY WORTHLESS! Last month(January 2023), they tried to FORCE me to send out a $140 item to a DIFFERENT State WITHOUT first being paid! They wanted to sit on the money for "AT LEAST 3 weeks" AND I was supposed to ALSO front the shipping costs! Name ONE COMPANY that would ship out an item they are selling BEFORE they are paid for it! There are ZERO! I even offered to just take half plus the shipping and they refused. Then, when I refused to send it out without being AT LEAST partially paid, EBAY tried to hit my checking account for the fees "they lost" for trying to COERCE me into fronting the sale! I told my bank what was happening and they recommended that I just close my account I was using for EBAY and open another one...which is EXACTLY what I did. EBAY will NEVER get another penny of my business...

There refund policy is a joke

Never order from eBay ever I orders this speaker for my daughter party was never delivered I called eBay they said they will contact the seller. Long story short the seller left the decision to eBay and they basically said $#*! me and they not giving me my product I paid for or my money back they made me wait 3 day then closed my dispute then made me fill out a appeal that take 5 more days just to tell me that they decided they not gonna give me my money

2021 enclosing I cannot recommend anyone to just now start selling on ebay.
Facebook Marketplace, Letgo, Craigslist are still leading the way as I am paying 4000$+/- annually for zero rights and assistance being a honest seller.
Amazon and other apps thrive while ebay is still straggling beheind.

Selling on ebay not so good

Buyers have all the power and ebay wont stand up for its sellers, they just collect fees and protect the buyer. We have been on ebay for 16 years and have gotten no satisfaction when a buyer claims wrong doing by us, you could potentially get hundreds in free stuff by just claiming seller fraud weather it exists or not...

I BUY A LOT OF STUFF FROM EBAY. THEIR RETURN AND REFUND POLICIES ARE REAL BAD FOR REAL CLIENTS. I BROUGHT A PCM FOR MY TRUCK FROM ONE OF THEIR VENDORS ON THEIR PLATFORM FLAg ship one inc. the PCM was no good and I returned it but it's been 4 months no refund or any interest from eBay to resolve the issue.
Shame on eBay for scamming genuine clients.

Ebay SUCKS for a seller

This outfit backs and takes sides with the buyer. I sold an HF ham amplifiers. After the auction the buyer paid through the new eBay pay system. They hold/block funds until the buyer says he is satisfied or not satisfied. While he has your piece of equipment and you still have nothing. He swaps out tubes, Collins 520b they were new, changes out the power supply with one that had blown caps. Than he tells ebay you sold him defective item. I sent affidavits and receipts to ebay that this amp was 100% as described and the condition pristine. Ebay sided with the $#*! hole. I have hired an attorney. I will never ever deal with ebay again. They are crap.!

Got my money back

I bought a tool from someone that never arrived. Seller claimed it did, but I never got it or proof of deliver. Ebay returned my money to me so all I lost is time.

Better than Amazon sometimes Atleast when it comes to Free shipping and more variety of sellers of same thing., but the BAD is they have no phone number. And if you want help you got to go to their help pages, read your way through it all. Who got time to do that? Where is the customer service? It's gone. But if you Go though the chat link, if you hit chat, then you get a link to have eBay call you. Yea that's the best they can do is hide that option in chat not put it put it out / up front. They blame it on COVID but Amazon answers their phone and has a phone number to go with it. So what does Amazon know that Ebay don't? Anyway stay clear of the Ebay App. They try to entrap you to get it with 10.00 off next purchase, but it is hell. Stay clear. Not worth it. No sign in or out options. They tAke your user name one time Hy jack your phone and don't give you the same options as www.eBay.com does. App Lot prettier, but doesn't work, not user friendly. It's designed for young children that like what looks better not what work better. Tech takeover, and they don't offer 10% discount like they used to on classic ebay. Basically less people and, less customer service. Lots more work for customer. Less work for the company. Going downhill if anybody values customer service. Basically you on your own at EBay. Not like it used to be. I. miss the old c e o. And it isn't COVID. That's a lie..

I have posted something to sell on eBay, but my eBay account suddenly getting hacked. Weird bids and messages started floating. So any transaction is considered bogus and fraud even if it looks legitimate. I have tried to cancel eBay account, but I am unable to. I am suspecting eBay itself involved. This is happening again and again, so I am completely quitting buying and selling on eBay. You all just wait for your turn.

I've been on ebay for over 20 years as a seller and a buyer. They have made many great improvements over the years, but it seems to balance out with the horrible "dis-improvements". You used to have control over how much you wanted to sell your items for. They had "Buy it now" mixed with auctions. Great idea! You could start an auction at $25 then add a $30 buy it now option. Then ebay decided sellers should not be allowed to totally choose the auction starting price. It HAD to be a minimum of 30% less than the buy it now. It's my item I'm selling, why is ebay telling me how much I can start my auction price at? They used to have an option for returns of anywhere between 3 and 30 days. Ebay then decided I have to accept returns for 30 days at a minimum or not at all. I don't want a buyer purchasing my item, using it for 30 days, then returning it in worse condition with me having to refund them. (think power tools, etc) 3 days is more than enough time to check it out, make sure it works etc. Also ebay got rid of Paypal. They do not allow me to choose how a buyer will pay me. Now they demand access to your bank account for direct deposits. They also fully support scam buyers. I sold a used working electronic device AS-IS, no returns. (delicate item). Showed in the pictures the item functioned as is should. Seller gets the item, then files a claim with ebay saying it did not work. I accepted the return to be nice anyway. Seller sends me back the same model, but it was damaged. Obviously fried by them. I had detailed pics of what I sold and sent. Showed ebay pics of the the damaged item the buyer sent back and that it was different from what I sent. Ebay sided with the buyer, refunded them, and made me pay shipping both ways. If you read ebays forums, there is horror story after horror story of ebay screwing over sellers. My only hope is that an honest competing auction site finally gets big enough to compete with ebay so I can switch over to them and ditch ebay for good.
