Customer service, ebay doesn't stand behind its sales. Or customers. Shop elsewhere. Guarantee a gimmick.
I sold an item that was in perfect condition. The buyer sent pictures of their junk item to me and eBay and said it was the item I sent them. Ebay took the buyers side, because I do not get on eBay everyday or check my email everyday. EBay refunded the buyer AND he did not have to send the item back to me. So it actually costs money to sell on eBay.
They don't care about customers They never protected me from a seller MOM&POPS the was a scammer. Lost 639.00 dollar empty pocket.
Thanks to Rᴇᴄᴜᴠᴀɪᴛ.ᴘᴡ unwavering commitment, I received a substantial portion of my investment funds back. It was an incredible relief, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Their professionalism, integrity, and efficiency exceeded my expectations, making the entire recovery process significantly less stressful
Scammers will scam you. It sucks but it will happen. Main problem is that eBay has policies and procedures in place that support people scamming you.
Ex. Buy anything on eBay that needs freight shipping and is over $700; lets say an outboard motor. Once you win the auction, pay with credit card. Once you pay, wait about three hours and then submit, through ebay, that you haven't received the item yet (duh, you just won the auction). When item arives, don't sign for it or sign with unintelligible "X". Then claim you didn't receive it. EBay will give you your money back. Now you have the outboard and your money... free outboard. The great part of this is that ebay will demand the money back from the seller... "Because they didn't ship it!"
Dosn't matter if you have tracking, signature or video of person getting item... that's it your done.
I've been a eBay customer for over 5 years so this year I started selling shoes my account never had any problems prior to me selling shoes I spent over 3k on shoes in a few years never had a hold or let us verify who you are. Now I'm selling shoes I have sold more then 10 pairs of retro Jordan's and Nikes and my account gets put on hold so now I'm out of 6 pairs of shoes I have sent out customers have received there shoes and my money on hold there saying my account is under review and there just making sure everything is ok with my account… I'm like what are y'all talking about if people are receiving their shoes how is there a problem and now I have to wait for you guys to release my funds whenever you guys feel like it. I wouldn't usually be upset but I really need access to my funds to pay my bills and eBay is saying you can still sell shoe on are platform buy you can't get your money this is robbery without a gun mind you eBay got their middle man fees for everything done on there site the customer gets their product and I'm out of everything this is a shame I'm considering never using there site again
Over the years I've purchased thousands of items on eBay. Much of it was supplies for my music students. In the last 18 months or so I've had numerous items that were mis-sized and I had to toss them out as it really wasn't worth the time to send them back. (I think that's what they're counting on when they mis-size items).
At one point, I closed my account and lost credit for all the purchases I had because I couldn't get things straightened out and I couldn't reach anyone at eBay to fix the problems.
Just recently, after opening a new account, I've had sellers for which I tried to post reviews but those reviews were deleted because eBay allows sellers to do that. So, I can no longer trust purchases from eBay as the rating system appears to be rigged.
LIARS CRIMINAL FEES NO TRAFFIC NO SALES RUN BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH ARROGANT LOWLIFE DESPICABLE SCUMBAGS,,,, " DEATH TO EBAY "
A buyer return my item after he open it and distroyed and eBay did not see the proof even I send the the pictures the refund the buyer and charge me the fees on top of that what a joke eBay should start looking for professional it's shame how treat a seller with 100% feedback and over 2000 sales this is how eBay make me loose over $1800 wow wow wow it's shame
I was SCAMMED on eBay by O&M wireless I purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max from said company in less than 2 months the touch stopped working without drop or liquid damage. I took the phone to reputable repair shop when they opened the phone they informed me that the screen was already replaced and it wasn't a genuine IPhone screen so in short the phone was actually a refurbished phone and not a new phone as O&M wireless advertised it to be. I contacted them and informed them of the situation. They requested a report which was very reasonable. When I got the report I requested an email so I could forward the email to said company they refuse I copied and pasted the report they told me they won't accept it like that once again I requested an email address they still refused they told me to screenshot the report I did and sent it they contacted me to inform me that it was already 30 days since the phone was delivered so they can't refund or exchange however they offered me $30 out of my over $700. I told them to keep it. GUYS PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM O&M WIRELESS ON EBAY THEY ARE SCAMMERS! I contacted eBay they have not responded only leave me to believe eBay encourages their vendors to SCAM their customers
EBay shipping has continuously ignored my every every request to only use FedEx or ups.
By this I am in constant stress of eBay using (Lasership) for they steal and stole my packages in the past. Therefore do not order shoes from e or when in face authentication guarantee ships from (Lasership) and it fully stresses me out.and I'm tired of it. I have never had packages stolen until Lasership. Why would a billion dollar company use a shipping company with a 1 star rating… 1star… I wouldn't go to a hotel or restaurant with 1 star rating at all
After selling parts and or small game systems on eBay i would get a notice not as described. After getting the item back i noticed parts missing. Some very nasty buyers will buy a part or system no matter what it is and steal parts from it and ask for a refund.
One example was a TV i sold with a box i had to make specially.I packed it and covered the screen so as not to have the screen damaged in shipping. After 3 days the person send me a photo of the TV with a smash in the corner of the TV.I asked him to show me the box which he did not do.After receiving the TV, the box was in perfect shape, guess he didn't like the box and damaged the TV to get a refund. All kinds of kooky buyers.Soo many more things like this happened so i decided it just wasn't worth my time.
They need to bring back customer feedback to warn sellers.
Ebay is a great platform for purchasing and the buyer is well protected. Been selling on ebay for years, and it has become much harder to have a successful business model using this platform. They need improvement in this area but I will continue to shop!
Ebay won't help remove an awaiting payment, tell me to contact seller, and that I have done several times I told the seller the duplicate order was a mistake and neither the seller nor eBay will help me remove the duplicate order.
I'm absolutely disgusted with eBay times are really hard, and when I finally sold an item to get money to bye food they put the money on hold refused to release it. I had to cancel the order and refund money back cost in me a seller they didn't care at all on want they had done,I've close account and advice everyone please do not let this happen to you.
If you are thinking of selling on Scambay, don't! They will allow the buyer to make a false claim, keep your item, and give them all their money back with you holding the bag for shipping and fees. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!
After 18 years selling/buying on Ebay with 100% feedback, Ebay sited with a scammer and I'm out $355 and did not get the item back. On top of everything Ebay kept their commission and withdrew my account the full amount of the item not the amount they paid me. Customer support were very cordial and pleasant but deceiving. I did not get a final answer until after calling 4 times and they had the time to withdraw my account without addressing my claim of being victim of a scam. There are other online sale platforms. Stay away from Ebay.
I got ripped off, and the baby took sides against me. Several times I will never use them ever again.
I have reached a support agent and was connected to Prem, I haven't needed any assistance from ebay recently. As a user who has spent between 30-50 000£ on their app I would expect at least some minimal effort from their support, however this was not provided and on top of all as I am living abroad from the Uk for a few months, I am considered a ''risk" and cannot sell while away. I have over 800 positive reviews from sellers and 100% feedback, but that seems to not matter any more. Bear in mind that when you travel abroad you will be treated like $h*t even though you are maybe with them over 10 years and spent a deposit on a house with them.
Seller beware! Ban,-- watchgeek200, name is Chris kelleher, big conartest!
I sold an item pre owed, no returns, I sold a automatic wind up micky watch worked great. Buyer took it apart sent pictures of it then asked ebay for a refund because it's 10 seconds off, we'll everyone that knows watchs automatics there always seconds off per day, but now I now I owe more then I sold it for and ebay never made them send me my watch back. Ebay let them Rob me, ebay is a site for conartest do not trust selling or refunds or returns, seller beware!
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
