Stay away believe me I booked through atlas choice paying 37 euro for a 2 day rental of a small car and upon arrival was told I hadn't paid and would have to pay 38 pound which I reluctantly did as I had to get moving. On return with the car I explained again I had already paid through atlas choice and would need to be refunded to which she replied let me have a look to see what I can do but guess what she couldn't access atlas choices booking and told me she would contact me when she sorted it. Back home a day later I check my bank account and see that easi rent have stole 104 pound from my account and not the mentioned 38 pound. A few emails later they tell me about the fuel charge the insurance charge which was never mentioned to me at the start. All in all I am out of pocket to tho tune of 104 plus 18 ( fuel refill) plus 30 pound to atlas choice a total of 152 pound. Total bunch of scammers including the smug pair of employees I came across in East Midlands

Rented through Ryanair's rental service. Easirent don't accept Ryanair's insurance or other insurance policies. Comitted to buying Easirents insurance as a Danish credit card is not acceptable as deposit. Personal and credit card details are noted on papir by 'Eastern European' staff. Next day my credit card is used by someone in the Cambridge area. Suspicous - u bet! Spread the word - DON'T use Easirent.

Be very careful
April 19, 2016

I travel to the UK quite often from Italy & i always try & get the best deal... however i will never use easirent at Stansted again! In the 1st instance they ask for your credit card details including the secure code on the back of the card DONT GIVE THEM THIS & ASK FOR THE FORM BACK SO YOU CAN DESTROY IT YOURSELF! We had to wait for the car because it was being washed, when it finally arrived it was still wet! So this made it very difficult to go over the car to check for any damage, none of the staff are mother tongue, which isn't a problem for me, but their English is terrible & the guy with the clipboard kept saying "car ok you sign form" when i returned the car... surprise surprise they found a miniscule scratch on one of the alloys! There were 5/6 Russian guys present & i wasn't going to argue, i have private insurance so i knew i wouldn't have to spend a penny! But i believe it could be an intimidating situation for some people! Total cost of the miniscule scratch on the alloy... £200 and i doubt very much if it has been repaired! So my advice is be very careful if you choose this company!

I cannot emphasise enough how unsatisfactory the experience of renting from Easirent was. I feel stupid for having fallen for the low headline costs of the deal (£85 for an estate car for 3 days). Our final bill was more than £300, including £145 when we returned the car (which was also smaller than the one I had booked) for a "new" scratch miraculously discovered on return. Other charges / revenue-generating opportunities include £25 for fuel (please return empty - always a way to make more money), additional driver charges and excess-reduction payments. Not only that Easirent (presumably named ironically) required not only not one but two proofs of address but a DVLA check code to prove that your driving licence is valid. The process of retrieving that requires a national insurance number as well as a driving licence number. And then once you get to the airport, you have to take a bus to reach the portacabin that is the Easirent office. Never again. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Similar complaints as others. Awful, unprofessional staff and charge for damage I didn't cause. No satisfaction from Customer services and no acknowledgment from MD(not even a minion). Look on Trustpilot for details. Never ever use this company and spread the word!

By far my worst car hire experience ever, from someone with scores of previous hires to compare with.

- I was not told which car I had hired on arrival. Just presented with a list of cars all of which turned out to be upgrades.
- There is no "full to full" fuel service, I was told I had to buy £30 of fuel from the rental firm and bring back empty (I hate doing empty returns).
- Having waited almost an hour for my car to be retrieved I was in the car ready to leave when the rep came out and told me it was "D-Fleet" meaning it was not in service and I would have to take another car
- I was given what looked like a lower spec (petrol Kia Sportage as opposed to diesel and good internal spec + satnav Qashqai), certainly not the upgrade car I actually wanted, and was told they could swap the paperwork. I was so late for work at this stage I just wanted to take a car and go and simply didn't have the time to argue my corner further
- Whilst waiting I watched a distraught woman telling the staff the damage on her car they said she caused could not possibly have been done by her. She was subsequently charged for damage and for "admin costs".
- On returning the car I had the same experience, a scratch I am positive I did not cause, that did not pierce the paint work was found. I was charged £95 plus VAT plus £50 "admin fee". I am adamant I did not damage the car when driving it
- On leaving I could see the same rep in the forecourt having a significant argument with the next customer returning a car!

Absolutely awful experience and a load of stress and hassle on top of the extra cost. Please, please check Rentalcars when booking a car, if it says "Easirent" or "Rentalcars recommends" rather than stating a hire firm then stay away and get the next least expensive car - you will save money, time, and stress aplenty!

Mine is a similar tale to most others on here. I was charged for insurance that I'd already paid for through the online booking agent - though NEVER had any explanation given about it. I was left stranded at the airport for nearly an hour (in freezing, howling winds) - actually, it wasn't at the airport - I was told, when I called them, to walk out of the airport itself to meet them at a petrol station (had to do this with 2 large suitcases - was the same when I returned the vehicle). Picked up car from a wooden hut tagged onto the back of a hotel about 4 miles from the airport. Have attempted to raise my complaint with them by telephone and email, on numerous occasions - even with the MD, who read and promptly ignored my email. This business is unbelievably poor - I genuinely believe I was mis-sold to and now am being totally ignored. I would never recommend any aspect of their business to anybody - use at your own peril...!

It took me 90 minutes from landing at LHR and clearing customs to getting into the hire car. My booking contract clearly stated the drop off was at Birmingham Airport (correct) and also stated that I was to drive through the car park barriers, park up, and then call them to collect. I called them to be told they do NOT collect from Birmingham Airport! No Sat Nav, No Map, and I then had to drive 5 miles into Birmingham to find these people in a bomb site of a car park (not theirs) and located in a 6 foot square wooden hut. Luckily my wife could drive out to pick me up - otherwise I would certainly have been left stranded. At the Heathrow office (tacked onto a hotel miles away from the terminal) there were many angry customers complaining about everything - high hidden costs, blocked credit cards, claims for damage already present, dirty cars, waiting for an hour to get a car, and much more. Me - I just paid to drop off at Birmingham airport and had to take the car to the dirty sleazy place these people operate from. I hope you read this before you book anything with them.

Strongly recommend to STAY AWAY from Easirent. They fraudulently blocked funds on my card on more than 1 occasion too. Their customer care is non existent apart from the sales aspect. Great sales team on the front to sell you their service but terrible customer service afterwards. You really do get what you pay for! Stay away because it's terrible having to deal with them.

I don't trust them
December 30, 2015

Similar to other commenters, I was also put under pressure to buy additional insurance from them, even though I already had purchased full insurance cover when I booked through rentalcars.com. I didn't buy the insurance. When I returned the car, it turned out the left wing mirror was damaged. Although I have no way to prove it, I suspect that it may have been damaged before I took the car. Of course it's possible that someone ran into the wing mirror when the car was parked, but it was parked only in a very quite cul de sac. The pre-hire check was done in the dark with a torch, and I don't remember the staff member shining the torch on the wing mirrors. I was required to pay on the spot £290 for the damaged wing mirror, £50 admin fee plus VAT amounting to £398 altogether. No quotation or invoice for car repair, just on their say so. I don't see why this couldn't be claimed from rentalcar.com since I already had insurance. Having seen all these negative reviews, I definitely wouldn't hire from this company again.

Terrible - absolute con!
December 28, 2015

Do not use this company! Paid to have additional insurance over and above, which I thought allowed the deposit to be waived. Arrived at the rental shed to be told that we were required to pay an excess of £1,250 and it must be on a credit card. I don't have a credit card and after i explained this the man was happy to waive this and let me charge the amount to my debit card. I asked some additional questions because I wasn't sure as to why I paid for excess insurance and still had to pay such a high deposit. The whole process was so unclear and no way transparent! The more questions I asked, the more rude the employee became! After I asked questions, he then decided that I couldn't charge the deposit to my debit card and I would have to take out ANOTHER insurance of £132! An absolute con! I didn't trust this man or company at all and we decide not to take the car! I then called the broker we booked through to be told we couldn't cancel because our car pick up was 9am is it was now 9.40am! So me, my husband and four year old had to make other arrangements as I was not giving this company any more money and certainly didn't feel confident about driving away in any of their cars! Had we not had family an hour away, we would have been completely stranded in the middle of no where with no offer of being taken back to the airport. Terrible customer service, probably the worst ive ever experienced! Upon leaving, we spoke to other customers who had the same issue. Appears that they earn significantly from such insurance sales! Very unclear and will most definitely be taking this further! Just to be clear, we have rented cars on numerous occasions in the past and never had such issues.

They charge you incredible deposits (£1250!?) or you have to pay almost double the rate you paid on line for an insurance that deosn't cover anything. They are impossible to find (NOT in the car rental area, NOT the car rental area bus, you have to take the Premier's Inn bus and pay £3. They say they'll take you back for free when you leave the car but it's a lie, you pay again). Staff incredibly rude. Worst rental in my life. Never again. Looks cheaper, but it's more expensive and very badly managed.

Bad!
October 16, 2015

We rented two 9 seaters at Easirent via Indigo Car Hire with full insurance.
At the pickup it turned out screen and tyres were not insured... Discussion was useless: we had to pay. After that we were assured we were fully insured for anything that could happen.
Also we had to give our full creditcard information "in case of speedtickets etc.".
Cars were good and clean, but only filled with fuel worth 25 GBP (what we had to pay).
Later I slowly bumped on a sloping parking place on a guard rail and the radiatior made a cracking sound: cooling fluid came out.
Vauxhall Assistance/AA considered it an accident, but Easirent assured it was not. I had not to worry: everything was covered.
In the end the radiator was too damaged to carry on and I had to arrange a replacement car. A 9 seater was not available, so they provided two Vauxhall Zafira's.
Long story short: later Easirent charged my creditcard for more than 500 GBP for the repair of the Vivaro! Just a simple email, no garage invoice attached...
I tried to contact Easirent by mail three times, but they did not respond.
However, Indigo stated that they contacted Easirent by phone and they said Easirent did receive my emails.
I disputed the charge on my creditcard.
During this process I, as well as Easirent, had to provide the credit card company with information about the rental conditions etc.
In the end Easirent came up with signature forgery.
It's not necessary to say I did not have to pay...
I do definitely not recommend Easirent.

We booked a car through the web page of rentalcars.com in Heathrow airport (Sheraton skyline office).
- We waited in the counter for 30min to be attended. In the meanwhile 3 customers were informed that due to a failure in the rentalcars webpage they overbooked and didn't have enough cars. By then they started to give numbers to the customers, in order to have a car a soon as they were returned by other customers.
- More customers came in having the same problem. One of them complaint about them doing it every now and then every weekend. And according to more reviews I have read now, it seems to be true.
- We waited for two hours in the office for a car to be returned so we could rent it. When our car arrived after filling in all the paperwork we tried to pay the deposit with the debit card we did the booking. They said it was impossible for us to do the payment with a debit card "it was written in the clauses of the rental". That is strange because I haven't had any problem doing so, not in UK neither in any other country in Europe I have rented a car.
- They said that if we paid an extra of 26 pounds we could pay with the debit card!
- We refused to pay extra and said we didn't want to go ahead with the renting process. They left us alone and started with the next customer. We had to call their attention again in order to cancel the rental. All of this in the middle of a chaos with customers and staff shouting to each other and being almost impossible to hear or talk to the person behind the counter. While doing this two girls in the same situation than us took the scam of paying almost double the price of the rental just to be able to pay with a debit card.
- During the process we felt totally ripped off, disappointed, frustrated and mistreated by the staff.
- Here is some advice: Don't rent with them, is an unprofessional company that tries to scam you. Even when you find it is a good deal at the end it will be more expensive than any other option plus the pain in the axx of having to deal with rude staff.

Where do I begin? Let's start with arriving at the rental desk only to be told that insurance is mandatory unless I have written proof that I already have insurance. In no document that I received following confirmation of my rental was I informed of this. Easirent then informed me that following the rental reservation I should have gone to the Fox Rental website and read through their pages of terms and conditions to find this. I then asked to use the phone to call my credit card company (which is a collect call) and was told no, I can't use the phone because then they would have to pay for the call. Finally after putting up a stink I could use their phone. I of course couldn't get through to my credit card company because it was the middle of the night in Canada. I went with Easirent because it had the lowest price but with the insurance I ended up paying the highest price of any of the rental companies. Finally after 1.5 hours in their office and 30 minutes of waiting for the actual car, one of the staff members pulled up in a car that looked like a mini. I book an economy car because we would be doing a lot of driving around England. Thankfully we packed light. The economy car that I paid for was supposed to fit 3 suitcases in the trunk. Ours couldn't fit two so we had to use the back seat. I went to address this issue and the company could not have cared less. Lastly, we got a ticket for driving in a bus lane in Oxford. We got an email that this would cost 30 GBP. No problem. It was our fault. Then I check my credit card bill and we are charged 85 GBP. So I check the contract and it says there is a 55 GBP admin charge for any traffic fines. 55 GBP. Are you kidding me? For what? To pay a bill? Worst service I have ever received and I will be sure to write scathing reviews on every review site I can find. Never rent with this company.

Never ever come to Easirent. You will never just pay what you think you have booked. They find all ways to charge and charge you. Firstly, they will threaten you to buy additional insurance. Then the petrol which we were charged for a non-full tank.

Worst was when we parked the car on return, the car was scratched while we were in the office returning the key! We were charged exorbitantly for a scratch that can be removed with just a polish wipe. The employees are just like gangsters where we can't really talk back.

Scammers
June 17, 2015

We agreed to a 3 day rental by phone from Aberfoyle.
Got to Edinburgh to collect the car and they wanted an extra 50 pound for drop off in Glasgow, which we had negotiated to be included.
Waited half an hour and in was eventually conceded that it was included.
BUT when we dropped off at Glasgow the guy inspected the vehicle, and so obviously put his hand ends the front and said it was damaged.
No visible damage however and there was no visible damage, also found a small scratch an a rhs front wheel.
He made an invoice for 350 pound after much protest as we had not damaged the car in any way.
After much argument we refused to pay, and guess what, the chap (who was obviously on a commission of some sort) stared to negotiate the price down.
That was it, The last straw which obviously pointed to the fact a scam was going on.
Never rent from this unethical company

IT'S A SCAM
June 8, 2015

Please don't try to use Easirent.com even if it's cheaper.

I booked a car with them quoted a fair price and I even called their sales team to double check the price and make sure there's no extra changes. They sent me a quotaition with the total price off £86 and I paid a deposit.

They even sent me a invoice stating the full amount of £84 too.

When I got to the airport and the rental car desk I was informed that my car was ready and filled in large amount of paperwork. Only then they informed me I had to pay £280 when I should them the quotaition and invoice which stated my price I got the reply "That price is wrong" When I asked to speak to the sales man they made me wait 30 min. I was shocked to see when I was waiting four more customer with the same problem.

This seems to normal to give one price and then when blackmail you to pay more than the best rental company's out there.

ALL I CAN SAY IS DON'T TRUST THE PRICE THEY GIVE YOU ONLINE. IT'S A SCAM

Manchester, UK location

Please use the utmost caution if renting from this company as other locations may be different. As the office is located offsite (drivers pick you up from Airport) we thought this might be the reason why the price was reasonable, less cost for company. Upon picking up car at night we were to inspect vehicle in the dark... a little difficult to do but now we know why they were so quick to do so. The next day I quickly looked at the car and no major issues and upon return ensured that again nothing was damaged. However upon their inspection on return a slight mark, barely visible, was found after they constantly rubbed in one location 3x times to be exact (a little suspicious). They explained "we will get back to you by email" even though we wanted to know exactly what was going to happen. No clear answer provided. That evening on our flight back home, a charge went through our credit card for several hundred pounds and a few days later a notice was sent of what the expected cost of damage- charged prior to informing! After several emails and phone calls no resolution was made.

We rent vehicles several times a year and never once had issues. Even had an incident where another car scraped the side of our rental and fortunately witnesses saw it and gave us the license details and we provided this to the rental company and they said not to worry! This was through Eurpocar.

To save you from possible frustration on your holiday use a trusted rental agency!
