Returned a car to Birmingham airport had a nail in the tyre but was repairable was charged £50 administration and £50 repair. Contacted customer service which was a waste of time. Cheap car hire but stitch you up with administration fees.

I see there are many complaints about Easirent and wish I checked before as I was another victim of Debit card malpractice of this company as I was penalised for an admin charge five times the cost of the initial rental charge.
If you have been unfortunate enough to have booked with them, I have personally taken this case up with resolver at " https://www.resolver.co.uk/companies/easirent-complaints" who in turn will escalate this to British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association if you are not satisfied.

There are so many other competively priced renal companies that I use without having to be riped off my Easirent

My honest recommendation if you are reading this. Don't even go near to Easirent jsut because you could save few pounds. They are terrible and soon I realised I was arguing with bunch of Idiots. It was not too late when i saw another family who were in the same situation like me and ended up in brawl. Protect your credit card before it runs out of credit limits! I'm giving 1 start for this review because i cant post a review with zero star.

Pure Fraud
December 25, 2016

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They faked a traffic violation and charged me an extra $120. We have proof we were 120 miles away at the time of the violation and we still charged the money after we left the car rental company. Pure fraud!

For a three day rental from Easirent Luton you will be charged £30 for petrol with Easirent claiming that they fill the car from the local petrol station with £30 pounds worth and do not add on any extra charges. However, I found that for a Citroen C1 rental that they had only put £20 of petrol in the car! The petrol gauge at the start of the rental showed 4 bars and I drove until the tank was empty. I then put in £30 of petrol at £1.109/L (27.1L) when the petrol gauge showed a full tank with 6 bars. Easirent in Luton buy their petrol from the Farley Green Petrol Station (they confirmed this) on *******7884 for £1.16/L- and £30 should have bought 25.8L. Easirent have therefore conned me out of £10 and since I thought that there was £30 of petrol in the car initially I then bought too much when I filled up - I actually put in £10 more than I needed to. So really they should be refunding me £20!

I had been a long time customer of Easirent for about 3 years, renting from them every other week. After pre-ordering my car a month in advance, I arrived at the desk as usual, to be told that I had hired a car from them for more then ten times and would now be unable to hire a car from them. I was stunned to say the least. No one could help it it was basically well that's it, unlucky, so I was bundled back into their van and dumped back at the airport to try and find an alternative. Complained to both Easirent and the BVRLA, which if you go through the same experience, I'd advise you not to bother, as poking yourself in the eye with a stick would be more advantageous.

Easirent? Don't!
November 7, 2016

They try to let you have a more expensive car (diesel with navigation).
If u refuse you''l get such a car anyway, because they don't have the cheap cars at all.

Then they force you to buy a very expensive insurance. (2 or 3 times the price of the car).

I booked Easirent through Ryanair, full insurance included.
Easirent wanted a deposit via creditcard of GBP 1250,- otherwise no car.
Beacause it was very late we had to agree with the expensive insurance.

No more Easirent for us. Never!

The pick up was late. No problem, only 15 minutes.
I booked the cheapest car with the intention of upgrading. The only upgrade was a Mercedes which was way out of price range so I stuck with the citroen. No problem. Then they requested my credit card for insurance purposes. I did not have the pin number. This was a huge problem. My debit card has more than ample funds to cover an accident. I offered to pay with the debit card but was told this is how everyone does it, if i pay with debit i will incur extra insurance costs, more than twice the original agreement. So I had to contact my credit card company. Set up an online access where I can obtain a pin. This took around 45 mins to sort out. Then I'm asked for DVLA proof online of driver endorsements. Good job I have a UK licence and Internet access. They said they could do this for me but would cost more money.
Lastly. And I still have the car, they charged me 30ukp for fuel. I'm always sceptical with this stuff. I drained the petrol tank on the car today until I was experiencing Kangaroo syndrome. Then put 30ukp of fuel in the car. I would say the original amount of fuel in the car was around 20 quid.
They have every trick to make a quick buck. Cowboys. Please pay the extra couple of quid and use a decent company. These people are not trustworthy

Lot's of hidden charges that are not explained, mentioned or highlighted when renting (as example - 50£ fee for processing a fine if you lucky to get one) that can zero your balance even if you have 100% full insurance.
The worst!

I have never had any problems with any of the car hire companies and I've rented a car in several European and American countries. Although we had the full insurance, they wanted approx. 1500 EUR deposit on my credit card for a Citroen C1 for a 4 day rental! Since my credit car limit was lower than that, we finally had to pay approx. 100 EUR per day for the smallest car ever. The staff was rude and unhelpful. However, the two French girls whom we had met had an even worse experience than we did - they had sufficient funds on their credit card and the Easirent staff just pretended the card is not working. One of the girls spent 2 hours talking with her bank and they reassured her the credit card is working properly. They also had to pay additional fees and finally had to sleep in their car the whole trip since they spent so much on the car. Worst people ever, STAY AWAY!

I've used several car hire companies in various cities and they've all been pretty consistent. And then I rented with Easirent (via Atlas Choice).
They AREN'T based at Heathrow Airport, but in an office at the Sheraton, so a bus ride is needed from the airport.
I'm surprised The Sheraton isn't losing patience as Easirent customers are hanging out waiting ages for their car - we were told they only had 2 drivers that day, whatever that meant. This is peak season (end of July).
The staff were all joking around (together) but not pleasant to customers.
I was told our car was new that day in a way that I was meant to be grateful or something. On return, some scratches were noticed on the plastic wheel trim and I was treated like some kind of criminal for 'damaging the new alloys'. Total cost £250, for a £16 wheel trim.
Vile people. Terrible service. Feels like a scam.
Pay a bit more for a reputable company - it'll be less in the long run.

My central complaint is that i was accused of having damaged the car,
But i have not.
The details: By picking up the car was not clean. By checking for
Scratches, damages etc. i and Customer service representative could see
Some small scratches around the car.
These damages were small so i comply to NOT WRITE UP. This was a big
Mistake!
By dropping off the car another member of your staff blamed me
Scratching the car on the right site. He spoke very unfriendly in local
Slang language even he knew i am a foreigner and nearly unable to
Understand.
I tried to explain, that the scratches were already exists by picking
Off the car but he won't absolutely not discuss.
Whatever, i was forces to pay 235 pounds or loosing my deposit of 1500
Pounds, so i payed.

AVOID at all costs
July 16, 2016

This is not a respectable car rental company. They are a scam! If you have booked and prepaid, they will try to avoid giving you a car on the day (for any possible reason) and refuse to refund you, and if you end up taking a car from them they will rip you off upon returning it. Although they may seem cheaper when you search online, when you turn up to collect the car you end up paying for the fuel and authorising £1250 on your credit card or paying for no excess, and things just add up. Employees are rude and seem more of a rough aggressive bunch than "professionals"!

I have rented cars many, many times in the UK and around the world, from companies like (Sixt, Enterprise,...) and I've never had any issues. I made a MISTAKE and decided to try Easirent Edinburgh Airport. Their office was not with the rest in the car rental centre at the airport, it was a shed in a parking lot 10mins bus ride away from the airport. I had my passport, 2 proofs of address, a credit card, a debit card, an international driving license (in English), and a prepaid booking. Despite that, when I got there they refused to give me a car (small automatic) because my license does not detail any "restrictions". This is the same driving license I've always used everywhere else. And when I asked for a refund, he said he cannot guarantee anything and advised me to e-mail customer. *******@easirent, which I did 9 days ago and no reply. I was not the only unhappy customer in the office that day, everyone seemed to have a problem.

They cost me a lot of time, effort, and money. A total inconvenience.

AVOID AT ANY COST

We had used Easirent Car Hire for our stay in Scotland and never again we will use their services.
From beginning to end, very unhappy with their service.
We had sent a written complaint and despite their 7 working days policy for answering, we had not received any acknowledgement after 14 days although we had sent a reminder too.
Poor Customer Service.
