The place is a dump. Service is bad and dishonest. Hidden fees. It cost me 225£ for a scratch on a tire, for which i m not even sure i made. It will cost you more in the end.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
May 24, 2018

I wish there is a button for not giving any stars. Same as other people stated how they scam and rip you off in million ways.
Also i am pretty sure those "positive" comments are paid and I really hope this company will get closed down asap. It will be my birthday wish every year.

To conclude: Unbelievably RUBBISH

The overall rating is 1*! I made the mistake of not doing my due diligence by not looking at the company's lousy history prior to renting. I was lured by the low price and went for it. Has everyone else made the mistake of not researching the company like I did before contracting with them? I just cant t fathom that everyone on here made the same bad judgement. If thats not the case, why even consider using Easirent after all these bad reviews? Its like being asked to be ripped off and then complaining afterwards. How many bad reviews must they have before its obvious its a shlock house? If you use their service after reading all their reviews first it makes no sense to post a review afterwards complaining. The one thing I am sure of is that Easirent can not possibly have any repeat customers.

I read a lot of easirent reviews and was sceptical of why the price is soo low. I rented a car a couple of times from Luton airport and although they push you to take overpriced insurance but I declined as my credit card company covers for excess waiver.

When you rent the car, they will casually hand you over the car and would not explicitly take initiative to record any scratches but when you return the car they will examine it very carefully and will try to rip you off.

Take loads of pictures when you take the car. A guy before me was charged 350 GBP for a very little scratch on the wheel. As he didnt inspect the car at the time of check-in, he had no evidence if the scratch was pre-existing or he caused it.

Both times I was stressed out and although I was not charged, but the level of stress is not worth it. The price undoubtly are low, but in case something goes wrong, you will end up paying many times over. I would not rent from easirent again.

If you still want to rent (although I wont recommend), please check in at day time, and take loads of pictures of every little scratch especially the wheel. Better you return the car in office hours, else easirent will screw you up if you return outside office hours.

So far I am unaffected, but really they are crooks and bunch of liars.

I would rather pay little more and in future rent from Avis, Hertz or Europcar.

Caveat Emptor
April 28, 2018

The time scheduled for my pick up was 18:00; although I thought I had asked for 8:00 pm. However, I cannot say for certain whether this was my mistake. Nevertheless, I telephoned the rental company from the airplane when my flight landed, and that was within the window allotted for my car rental. I was told to go through customs, etc. and then call again. I went through customs, which took about an hour and then my luggage was lost, so I had to deal with that. Then I called the car company again, and they said they had given my car away and the cheapest car they had available for me was almost 20 times more expensive. Then I heard while I was there the person say the same thing was going to happen to five others that night! I think this might be a modus operandi. Needless to say I will never rent from this company again.

I had a prepaid booking for Ford Fiesta at cost of £156.02 booked in advance.
Due to a flight delay we arrived (not sure 1 or 2 hours late) the manager ( Gavin) told us that our car was canceled because we are late. (PRE BOOKED AND PRE PAID CAR!)
Apparently, I have to call (from the plane) to let them know I am late.
ON booking voucher, not a word that I have to do so!
And nothing mention on T&C https://www.easirent.com/rental-terms/

In the office they show me on the screen (but did not print it out) the following:
"If you know you may miss the start of your hire, please contact the branch as soon as possible to let them know. If you cant get through please call our support team on *******045. We can only hold a car for you for a limited amount of time, especially during busy periods. "

The Manager said that another car KIA is available at £280.80, which was more expensive, and my previous booking is canceled. ( he did not say "an upgrade", he said "another car at the cost of £280.80" Myself and my husband both witnessed what was said at the time.)
My husband spotted Ford parked outside and pointed that to the manager, who said that it's already booked for another customer.
Basically, he forced us to take the more expensive car (not mentioning that its an upgrade) and we left with the impression that there will not be a charge of the first booking of £156.20.

The manager gave us misleading information and instead planned £156.20 we paid £436.75 on which we never agreed.

I was so stressed and upset that I did not check contract properly which he gave me and was sure that he will arrange a refund of £156.20

When my husband and I came to the office and complained, he refused to accept that he gave us wrong information on the charges. We both feel that we have been coned and given misleading information. I better pay extra and rent from the decent rental company, as we did not get any refund or apologies. Stay away from this cowboys.

Reading all the reviews i knew i had to call to place my order for a convertible a week in advance.

I had also called 2 times to confirm they will have the car, on the day after i reserved and a day before the reservation.

On my arrival i do not see any convertible in the lot and the dime drops, they screwed the pooch!

After waiting in line for 30 minutes they told me the same.

As this weekend convertible was a promise for a road trip - i had to scramble all morning and ONLY find one with enterprise for X4 the price which i had not choice but to book

Additionally, no one answers phone when i tried to check if they refunded my deposit

Beware - don't take chances - pay 10% extra on hotwire on their blind specials but do not step a foot at this rental place!

If I had known this before. I just returned to Germany and I joined the club, of the people here in this circle feeling ripped off and having experienced the worst car rental company service ever. Reading your reviews is like replaying a movie in my head. Not just the absolute slowest service ever, since I arrived with the first flight from Germany there trying to phone them at 07:15 until 09:30, when I finally got my car. It took ages for the shuttle to pick me up and nearly an hour to go through all the paper work. I felt really under pressure, when they tried to sell me the full cover, even when I explained to them plenty of times that I am fully insured by my credit card company and through the agency where I booked the car.

The cost for the full cover was 95 GBP for 2 days double the price of the rent. Then they told me I would get a Fiesta full tank and I have to returned it full 10 Minutes later did I get a Kia Picanto totally dirty, with dents and scratches and the tank not even half full. I complained but was also under time pressure to get the car, as for my first appointment I was already too late. They inspected that dirty care for scratches and I told them that I would not accept any claim from them for damages, as I got this dirty car where I could not spot all damages. To cut a long story short I returned next day the car with a tank ¾ full. They went around the care to check for damages but I made very clear that I would not accept any claim. So, they finally marked on my copy OK.

So when I checked my credit card account did I learn that they charged me the 95 GBP.

Even though they book it back it is a joke to pay a deposit of 95GBP for not even a half full tank. My only advice here stay away from Easirent Birmingham. This is an absolute nightmare. Better pay a bit more to prevent from such problems

Believe every bad review, truly didn't know companies still dealt with customers so appallingly these days.
Added and paid the Zero excess to car rental rather than leave such a large deposit prior to landing in Dublin.
At Dublin held to ransom for over an hour because the premium should have been more according to the reservation agent. Particularly unpleasant man named Gintaus. Eventually as it was going nowhere paid the extra £40 for 2 days cover so I could just get on with the weekend.
Rang "Customer Services" and spoke to Liam once back in the UK on the following Tuesday, come Friday no reply so rang in again and it was like the film "Finding Dory" so had to tell him the complaint again. His answer? We cant locate the call recording so we cant do anything!
Fantastic piece of logic! In that case obviously there is no complaint and everything's great! Honestly pay more and go elsewhere, by the time they've stung you it'll end up costing you less anyway.

My bad experience with Easirent car hire started with having to take a public bus to the Easirent car hire branch in Gatwick which only goes approximately every 45 minutes. The bus driver charged us £3 each for the journey. No information was given as to which bus to take either and we were told afterwards that it was supposed to be free but we were not refunded. Our flight was delayed and hour an a half so when we arrived at the desk we were told that our car had been given away and would have to pay for an upgrade or wait 2 hours for another car to come in. Obviously I had no option but to accept. I was then given a car with a broken windscreen which I refused and eventually got another car which smelt of cigarette smoke. Later I realised I had also paid in advance for my original car I booked on line so Easirent was legally obligated to keep the car for me for the full duration despite my flight been late. It's pretty obvious Easirent are only concerned about increasing their low rental charges in whatever way they can when customers arrive at their desk. Stupidly this was the second time I rented a car through Easirent... you'd think I would have learnt a lesson by now!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
January 20, 2018

COWBOYS! Horrendous customer service. Filthy office, filthy courtesy bus, filthy cars and scruffy unprofessional staff. My downgraded vehicle was soaking wet when I received it and although I checked it over the best I could given it was wet and dark I failed to notice two very tiny stone chips which I was charged a staggering £465 for when I returned the vehicle. I raised a complaint with the manager who took 3 weeks to reply(obviously busy dealing with other complaints) but was offered no explanation to the ridiculous charges. Pay a little bit extra and use a reputable company and AVOID these thieves.

Easirent is a scam. They were very hard to rent from, seemed shady, and our car broke down on the third day of a 10 day rental. They left us stranded for a full day on the side of the road - we finally left the keys with a tow driver they sent 8 hours later who had no idea what to do with it. We had to go our own way and rent another car from another company. Easirent further claimed that it was because deisel was put in the engine, which was most certainly not the case, as attributed by the receipts I have, and the attestation of the tow driver. Not only did they waste an entire day of our vacation, they charged us for the 10 full days, and claim we owe another $600 for tow and repairs. I have since read dozens of similar stories about Easirent on travel forums. It is a scam company.
We rented through Holiday Auto, which is damaging its own reputation by representing them.

Do not rent from the company. Details not displayed on website before I booked a car I rang office to ask if it will be ok as im young driver I asked about deposits etc. They said all ok no problem. Turns out I need credit card as there 1250 deposit even tho over phone they said no deposit required. Not everyone knows what they meaned. So ilI arrived to Manchester and guess what i couldnt rent car because I had no credit card otherwise I had to pay another 318 on top of 106 for 2 days. So me my 2yr old daughter and my fiance was left outside on the rain and wasted 3 hours to try get taxi and go to hotel as were not locals. And all man said was sorry... if any money go from my account ill go to court!

Fraudulent behaviour
October 16, 2017

Hired a car in May but unfortunately at the end of the hire was involved in an accident. Took a while but third party insurer took the full liability and have informed Easirent regarding that fact. In the beginning of September Easirent was informed by the insurer and Easirent told me that my deposit, £ 1250 was refunded on the 16th of September... More than a month ago now and yet no money and the "No customer service" do not communicate at all! Whatever you do, do NOT do any business at all with Easirent unless you enjoy the day to day feeling of being ripped off!

0/5 Stars
September 24, 2017

If 0/5 was possible, Easirent would deserve it. By far the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life.

Upon renting the car we were suggested to pay for a full tank of gas.
We told the employee that we were only driving to cambridge and would not be needing a full tank.
He told us something along the lines (was difficult to understand 100%) that it would be the same price,
So he suggested that, thats what we should do. He did NOT tell us that we wouldnt get money refunded for unspent gas even though we clearly told him we did not want a full tank.
We agreed to buy the tank and upon returning, a second employee told us we would not be getting money back for unused gas
(completely new information). He told us that we could go down and fill up the tank, return it full and he would try and
Change the contract for a possible refund. Upon return suddenly he was not able to do anything at all to help us,
Except that he suggested that we could write to customer service.
We did upon returning home - and ofcourse, customer service will not take any responsibility for the words of the employees
At stanstead. In the end, due to ridiculously poor service we ended up paying 58 GBP for about a a quarter of gas.
Needless to say we were stunned by the service we recieved at Easirent. To top this hilarious experience this, customer service gave us a coupon for 10% off on the next car hire :D ( L O L).
Easirent is basically a 100% scam company. Simple as that, don't use them even though they are "Cheap".

Use at your own peril!
September 22, 2017

To say the worst experience I've ever had with being understatement. Booking a car a simple process, cancelling the car relatively simple. I was advised I would receive an email confirming the cancellation I did not, when speaking to their customer Service team, are use the word service loosely, I was greeted with rudeness, arrogance and the lack of knowledge that was shocking. After waiting days for a call back from the manager called Janice, I now understood why The team are the way they are. As Janice told me "your booking is now cancelled, so what actually is your problem?" Use this company at your own peril.

DO NOT HIRE
September 7, 2017

The branch I hired from was the rudest employees. They constantly talked down to us and told us incomplete information.

They had us waiting for an hour at the airport. I had phoned them and arranged for a transfer when I landed, they said 10 minutes wait in zone 14. Waited there for after walking 2 minutes from hanging up the phone and waited 30 minutes till I phoned up to see what happened, apparently the driver showed up, I later discovered had seen him (was not in an easirent logoed uniform) and he had ignored us, and went back to branch without phoning us (at the airport or at the branch). So we had to wait another 20 before been driven to the branch.

The car they gave us was not road worthy and could have caused an accident if I hadn't checked it round the corner from the branch and topping up.

Returning the car, you are pushily guided to a minibus full of other disgruntled customers and taken to terminal 2. We were kicked out in the middle of the road, he did not bother pulling into the drop off space to let us out.

Terrible company, do not go near them
