Never ever again what ever you do do not use this rip off company. This company knows that when you arrive to pick up your car there are in excess of 200.00euros I had was asked to pay when I had paid for the full platinum insurance package and was assured that there was nothing else to pay by DoYouSpain. There were people at the GOLD CAR desk at Malaga airport shouting and arguing over the same issues I had there were three sets of families who had to pay or they would have been stranded. I walked away and got a cab, I have now sent over 12 emails to do you spain.com and had NO reply whatsoever.
This in my opinion is outright fraud. I have now reported them to the website regulators and also to the fraud investigation team in the UK. The web site is misleading to entice people to hire cars from them by giving false information.
I would encourage every one who has had the same experience to do something about this company as I am doing, they have got to be stopped.
They get your money and that's the last you hear from them.

Avoid like the plague. The good comments are at booking stage when they ask about the ease of making booking so review is posted before the car collection process. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR CARJET AS SAME COMPANY AND BOTH SCAMMERS. READ THE BAD ONES AND MAKE JUDGEMENT FROM THEM.

I booked a hire car through this company. I then tried to cancel the booking 3 times but because there was a typo error in the email address they refused the refund as the cancellation was not confirmed via the email! The email address did not exist and would have bounced back but was easy money for them to deny everything and refuse the refund. Wish I had have read the reviews before going anywhere near them. Do not use.

Such a bad experience and worst consumer service ever. I have been trying to understand why I ended up paying more than the price advertised in their website. It's been 5 weeks now. They don't want to refund the difference because the fuel was supposedly not full. Each time there is a different contact person to whom I must explain the situation all over again and send all documents again. Waste of time and money. Don't trust DoyouSpain or Thrifty / Hertz, the compagnies they work with.

I rented a car for 15 days and arranged to collect on Saturday at 2.30pm. I received an email from doyouspain.com saying "In this case the amount of the excess for your booking is 1750 €. On arrival you'll be required to leave a credit card authorization to cover this value." When I went to collect the car the rental company said they actually needed to take a payment of €1750. I told them the email said it would just be an authorization and they said it was a mistake by doyouspain.com in the email.

So they tried to actually charge my card the €1750 instead of just authorize it and it was declined by the bank which is understandable for such a large amount. It should be an authorization, not a charge. I said I would need to go home and phone the bank and explain why they are charging such a large amount instead of just an authorization like normal rental companies etc and then come back but they said they were closing so it was not possible. So I said I would collect the car on Monday and they said it is not possible also as I had to collect the same day (even though it was only 2.30pm at that time) so I would just loose the whole booking!

I phoned doyouspain.com when I got home 20 minutes later and they just repeated that they would not do anything and just keep my whole 15 days booking charge. I said even I will accept to loose the two days and collect on Monday for just 13 days without any refund but even they still refused to help. This is complete theft from this disgusting company who should be ashamed of themselves.

We were looking to rent a car in Athens through Carjet.com Dba do you Spain.com

We paid a 22 deposit of a 170. And instructed to pay the rest when arriving at the car rental office.

Well the company is no where near the airport. One must be picked up and driven to the car lot. When arriving Company did not accept my card (same card as the deposit plenty of money on it)
Not an issue with Hertz, or Enterprise and the are located at the airport in Athens.

After being told that my card was not accepted the company wanted us to pay 250 on top on the rental for full coverage insurance. You got to be kidding the original rental cost 170.

Well we returned to the airport and found a car for 120 that accepted our card

Nie polecam. Nie tylko wysłali mnie do innego operatora i straciłem czas na wyjaśnianie błędu, ale przede wszystkim oferują ubezpieczenie, które wg operatora nic nie daje. Operator powiedział mi, że to ich ubezpeiczenie kupiłem sobie niepotrzebnie i jak cokolwiek się wydarzy nic nie pokrywa a do tego musiałbym zapłacić kaucję. Inna opcją to ubezpieczenie kupione bezpośrednio u operatora które podwoiło pierwotny koszt najmu.

I don't recomend DoyouSpain at all. Don't use it. They sell you the full cover insurance which according the operator is not valid at all. And you must any way to leave deposit, If not - you need to pay next insurance by the desk and it most then double the cost of renta. For me this is just cheating.
Rental cost was 200 E, insurance from Doyouspain - 100 E - by desk they want me to pay 339 E. Just cheating

These guys are crooks and work with crooks. We purchased for 21 days in Spain and paid for Platinum insurance. This should have meant that to car hire company we collected the car from only took from us a returnable deposit. When we picked up the car, the guy said, "You have insurance, don't you?", while looking at our info. "Yes", I replied. He then asked me to pay 600 Euros as a deposit, "This will be returned to you", he promised. We returned the car 21 days later with no problems. I get hope and find only 100 Euros have been returned. What followed has been 3 months of trying to get DoYouSpain to take responsibility for the scam and trying to get AmigosAutos to return the money. Both have in the process contradicted themselves more than once. One time they said that the money couldn't be returned because I paid with a debit VISA not credit card. This is nonsense and also it explicitly said in the small print of the contract that deposits can be made with either!
DoYouSpain haven't done a THING to help resolve the issue. They don't care.

I rented a car for a month in Spain through Doyouspain.com and the price should be quite cheap (66 for 28 days). When I arrived at the partner's office at the Airport of Malaga (partner = Goldcar) they suddenly told me that they need to block 1160 as safety deposit on my credit card + 70 of fuel charge. My credit card limit is 1200 so they couldn't charge the fuel on the same card. At this point they told me that the only solution was that I paid an additional insurance for 230 (for 28 days!), otherwise I would not get the car. So at the end for less then 1 month of car rental I paid a total cost of 366! Afterwards I contacted their customer care twice but they didn't reply. I recommend you not to rent your car with them!
